No, there is no difference. As I said in the original post, my decal is based entirely off of TLG's Lord Voldemort from this year's Hogwarts Castle set.

Hello Everyone!

I have just made decals for Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry's decal is based entirely off of his LEGO counterpart from this year batch of LEGO Harry Potter sets. Ron is somewhat based off of his new LEGO counterpart, from the 2010/2011 sets (2011 refering to Diagon Alley), but his mouth was a little awkward in TLG's version of him, with a wierd upper lip, so I decided to give him a different mouth. I had the same problem with my Hermione decal; I noticed that her official LEGO minifigure head (which has been pointed out before here in the different forums), does not look like Emma Watson, the actress who plays Hermione in the films. It does not resemble her as much as her Goblet of Fire/Order of the Phoenix (2005/2007) version did. Nonetheless, I did my best in re-creating the trio.

Hi Severus, I have merged your latest 3 topics on HP decals in this one.

I'm sure you understand why it will be more useful to have them all stored in one topic instead of having a new thread every few days. It makes the MCW more tidy and reduces the number of other topics bumped out of the first page when you add one decal to your HP collection.

Please keep submitting your future HP decals in this topic, maybe up-dating the fisr post with the new ones

Thank You, LuxorV. I will continue posting decals here from now on.

Thanks for the decals! They are excellent. Any others in the pipelines?
I am thinking of doing Fenrir Greyback and Bellatrix Lestrange.

-Severus Edited by Severus

Nice job on the decals! Will you make some original ones to in the same style of characters who haven't been done in LEGO (yet)?

I like to work on decals from references of their actual LEGO forms. This is because the torso and head are already simplified and "LEGO-fied" to make it much easier to work with, but since you asked, I shall be posting a surprise decal soon, from a character that has not been "LEGO-fied" (yet), but that has been in the movies.

Above is the link to the "surprise decal" that was in the works today: Colin Creevey, which LEGO has not yet produced in a set. We have seen him in the LEGO: Harry Potter: Years 1-4 videogame, though, as a playable character.

Note: His camera is very modern, and not the one seen in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I did this because if TLG were to make a Colin Creevey minifig, I think that they'd make his camera like the ones seen today.

Enjoy,

Here is a Remus Lupin Decal based entirely off of his LEGO version from "4867 Hogwarts." The set is essentially The Battle of Hogwarts as seen in the upcoming 2011 film "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two." I actually bought this nice set and I am very happy with it.

The Decal was easy when making the torso, but the face, with Lupin's scars as well as facial hair were tricky to do. The technique I used for the facial hair was the same one I used on the Captain Hector Barbosa Decal a few months back when the Pirates of the Caribbean phase was upon us.

I really hope you enjoy this decal,

Severus
