If I may, as a I'm not in this forum too often, but a Star Wars fan nonetheless, speak my mind, I would agree with the Utapau scene. It has not been done often, even though it is a very important battle in Episode 3 and it offers a wide array of possibilities whereas Kashyyk would be just plants and gigantic trees for the most parts. It would also too much look like Endor while Utapau is something unique IMO.

Not that it actually changes what would be good to build and all, but Kashyyyk isn't really and Endor-ish planet. For lack of better descriptions, Endor is a redwood forest, Yavin is a 'dry' jungle-ish planet, and Kashyyyk is a wet jungle planet.

Yeah, and If he did do kashyyk, He would do the beach, and the worshyrs above.

Both would still be "very green" if you get the sense of it, if it's redwood forest or jungle, gigantic trees and a lot of plants would be on both scenes.

I mean specifics won't change the fact that Yavin, Kashyyk and Endor all have excessive vegetation and hence could be counted as some sort of similar.

Utapau however is very special planet caused by the makers of the movies who wanted to create unique planets for every movie and since all ordinary settings have been consumed already, the Episode 3 planets Mustafar and Utapau became quite exotic!

WW1 :oh: You ment star wars ok then the bridge scene when ki aid mundi dies that bridge battle

They are all different biomes, but I suppose they wouldn't look all that different in LEGO...

Nah. At the least, I'd say wroshyr tree villages on Kashyyyk would be constructed quite differently from Ewok villages, and the beach seen in Sith looks nothing like Yavin or Endor.

Am I the only one who thinks Utapau looked a bit like the village in Wayland? (In one of the comic book versions of Heir to the Empire, when Thrawn asks for the Guardian of the Mountain.) And Mustafar looks like Sullust as seen in the Rogue Squadron game.

Mygeeto, during Order 66... one of the best scenes in Sith. Snowtroopers are valuable enough as it is - I'm not sure anyone would be willing to turn a bunch of them into Galactic Marines. And we won't be getting Ki-Adi Mundi until later this year...

If not Muunilinst, then maybe Teth? Sans Ahsoka, of course.

Why limit yourself to eps 1-3 and clonewars?

Maybe you don't want to do anything from 4-6 but the extendend universe is very rich in stories and more importantly, massive battles.

I agree, you could do the Force unleashed!

Wait, what's the 'extendend' universe? Could you have meant Expanded Universe?

I think that the reason Sir von Lego doesn't want to make an Utapau scene is because most of the action would take place within the city, which doesn't allow for much visibility as opposed to an open are such as Geonosis or Felucia.

How about Hypori? The crashed Acclamator and Fordo's LAAT/i would certainly count as interesting builds, as would a brickbuilt Grievous.

You may also want to take a look at the rest of the Outer Rim Sieges (i. e. the ones that weren't shown in the films).

*A lot of people don't seem to know the names of things in this thread... what are Utuapa and Kasshyyk? *huh*

Take it easy. It's not an uncommon mistake. TLG themselves put Expanded Universe on their SW minifig chart at Billund. Besides, we know what he meant.

I'd love to see Hypori. Actually, I'd love to see any battle where Grievous does something other than cough, whine, and whack droids.

Thats a lot of Super Battle droids! How about the battle between the Sith and the Jedi in the Jedi Temple from that trailer for the Old Republic online game. That would be sweet!

EDIT: my 100th post!

All this talk about Utapua acutally makes me want to do an Utapua MOC. Nice too- I've been looking for a big MOC that'll take months to finish.

Yes i did, did you look at the time i posted that?

I was sleepy

What about the battle between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett in the asteroid field? The cracked asteroids would be quite challening if trying to replicate the sismic bombs effect. A custom Jedi Starfighter and Slave I and you got yourself an impressive diorama. I know it isn't a "big" battle but I have never seen that particular scene replicated.

I think what Sir von Lego has in mind is more along the lines of a land skirmish rather than an aerial/space dogfight. Not to mention the fact that a minifigure-scaled Slave I would be around half a meter in length while a minifigure-scaled Delta-7 would be incredibly small.

And they're seismic charges (presumably because they create shock waves similar to seismic waves in the Earth's crust) ...

I think, like brickdoctor and fallenangel, that something with an urban warfare flare, like Muunilinst, would be great- you could really go crazy with structures, and imbed alot of little vignettes of not only the combatants, but also the affected city life.

Eh, I wouldn't get too picky about terms that don't follow the same laws of physics when put into the Star Wars universe.

Sir von Lego, if you want a scene that's liked by the most people possible, you'll want to pick something from the movies for maximum influence. My vote would be for The Battle of Genosis inside the arena.

Well, pretty much anything Star Wars is indepedent of our established laws of physics. I just think that we should try and refer to named things with a commonly used name for clarity. I mean, if somebody were to mention a "Jedi starfighter" the first thing I'd ask is, "Which one?" Heck, if eltsyr hadn't included the set number in his thread title I would have had no idea what he had meant by an "Obiwan Star-fighter" before clicking on the link.

What's more, Bonaparte has already emphasized the importance of adhering to the conventions of the English language here (Eurobricks being an international forum and all) so when I see people misspell words or use improper grammar in their posts (you all know who you are) it disorients me a bit.

The translator isn't perfect, and I we all know 'extended' means the same thing as 'expanded'. :classic:
