January 29, 201114 yr Really like this MOC, probably the best 'chibi' so far that I've seen. Can someone tell me what these 'chibi' models are? They all look really good and I want to see some more of them. EDIT: Found 'em Edited January 29, 201114 yr by KingDom

January 29, 201114 yr This contest sure is turning out some cute ships! I love what you done to this one. Short and fat all the way!
January 29, 201114 yr Heh. I love it. Shaping is good. I love those huge 4-wide engines, but I'd remove those 1 x 1 Cones from the fronts. I know what you were going for there, but it doesn't look right to me.
January 30, 201114 yr Very nice Chibi N1 Stegoceras! What's good about this entry is that not only were you able to fit young Ani in this miniaturized starfighter but also Artoo. Good job and good luck!

EDIT: Found 'em As far as I'm aware, 'chibi' is essentially just super-deformed, exaggerated proportioned character models eg oversized heads, short limbs etc.
January 30, 201114 yr As far as I'm aware, 'chibi' is essentially just super-deformed, exaggerated proportioned character models eg oversized heads, short limbs etc. Chibi is the romanization of a Japanese word corresponding to "small". (Thus "Seru Chibi Muun" was translated to "Sailor Mini Moon".) The fact that it is associated with "super-deformed" in western nations probably has something to do with Japanese animations such as Lucky Star. Edited January 30, 201114 yr by fallenangel327
January 30, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the kind words all, appreciate it. Heh. I love it. Shaping is good. I love those huge 4-wide engines, but I'd remove those 1 x 1 Cones from the fronts. I know what you were going for there, but it doesn't look right to me. Initially I was planning on using one of those smaller 2x2 dishes in front of it, but alas I didn't have any in old gray and only 1 in new gray, but definitely not enough parts to make the whole front new gray. So I opted for the cone in failure of a better part cause without anything there it simply didn't look right to me. Very nice Chibi N1 Stegoceras! What's good about this entry is that not only were you able to fit young Ani in this miniaturized starfighter but also Artoo. Good job and good luck! One of the rules actually, had to include pilot + droid, it was quite a challenge to get R2 in, but that's half the fun of the build (or maybe even three quarters of it for me)
January 30, 201114 yr That's one chubby little chibi. I like how fat the engines are and good work fitting R2
February 1, 201114 yr Love it! Great "chibi" model. I built a "chibified" X-wing and Lambda shuttle years ago in LDD (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=348505)when the Death Star playset came out, to match the awesome mini-Tie-Fighter in that set. This model makes me wish LEGO had continued the minifig sized mini-ships as maybe a stand alone SW line. If this was an official set, I'd scoop a couple up. Again, great job!
