Vincent Kessels Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 That is a great diorama. It shows off the cars perfectly. Quote
buddy Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Outstanding MOC! Both the scenery and the cars are realistic looking and well built. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Awesome MOC de-marco. Really love the cars! Keep up the great work! Quote
Rick Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Two amazing hotrods. I really like the engines. You captured the typical hotrod shapes really well. For example, the SNOT-ed cheese slopes on the back of the yellow hotrod really create a smooth shape in a pretty simple way. Quote
Wout Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Nice moc. Reminds me a bit of the Stylo video from The Gorillaz. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 AWESOME hot rods 'de-marco', cool one with a stuck of SU carb's and the other a big 4 barrel Weber.....sweet ! Excellent SNOT road, plus desert scenery and of course, classic style cars......Brick On 'de-marco' ! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 This is terrific! Everything from the use of binocs in the engines to the cactus is very well done. Quote
Sleepie Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 (edited) Hi, this is really great. Nice part usage on the detailed engines. The two rods do remind me on the set 10200 Custom Car Garage in some way. Maybe it is just the colors you used. The brick-build road and the sand with cactus giving it the final touch. And I wish I could take such professional looking photographs of LEGO as you. Well done. One question, does a complete minifig fit in the cars or did you only use torso + head? Cheers, Sleepie Edited January 30, 2011 by Sleepie Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Amazingly beautiful! It is just splendid and these hot rods are menacing enough to take on any challenging roadsters. This is now featured in, Quote
L@go Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Well, I liked the red one, and I like the yellow one. But the way you show them off really is the icing on the cake here. I love the cacti (never thought I'd use that plural form)! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Impressive vignette de-marco! Everything about this build is just wonderful, from the two cool-looking hotrods, the SNOT road base, and those nicely-done cacti. Great job! Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Cute MOC de marco, the cars are sweet, and the road, it's so shiny... Quote
AhabDarab Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Cool idea with great implementation. Great job! Ahab out... Quote
gcanik Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Very well done, reminds of something you would see in the world of American Graffiti. Quote
AussieJimbo Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Great cars in a nice setting. I like those brick built cacti. Very good job. :classic: Quote
de-marco Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Thanks for all the great comment! One question, does a complete minifig fit in the cars or did you only use torso + head? minifig fully fit in the car Quote
Ralph_S Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I saw the red hot rod a few days ago, but didn't get around to commenting. Both cars are nice -I particularly like the V8 on the red car- and the way you've displayed them, de-marco, is wonderful. The only suggestion that I have is that perhaps you could add some telegraph poles alongside the road. Cheers, Ralph Quote
Sleepie Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Thanks for all the great comment! minifig fully fit in the car Clever design. Thank you for the insight. Regards, Sleepie Quote
Leo-J Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I particularly like the exposed engine in the red hotrod! Quote
