TechnicJuan Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 My guess is that they were made from the pictures off Paul's BS folder instead of blakbird's mpd. Speaking of the Murcielago, the yellow #4 connectors are a pain to get, and mighty expensive. I'm in the process of getting parts to build mine and I might just have to substitute that part for a black or a dark bley part.... You may want to contact Paul himself. I was short two of those #4 yellow connectors and asked him if he had any to spare and he sent them to me. Now I don't know how many he actually has, so he might not be able to help you, but it is worth a chance. Quote

It's just weird that out of all the yellow sets made in the recent years, there's only the 8457 Power Puller that had them. Quote
Blakbird Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 They look like they are both Paul Boratko's Gallardo designs, but they appear to be altered somewhat and the Yellow Murcielago looks like there are some things not quite put together correctly. I was also noticing that the yellow Murcielago is not built correctly, but it is close. There are also some color substitutions. My guess is that they were made from the pictures off Paul's BS folder instead of blakbird's mpd. Perhaps, but my MPD was made from Paul's photos, so it should come out the same. The black Gallardo is definitely also Crowkiller's model, but is has been altered to be more "solid" using more liftarms and less open space. Quote
DLuders Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 On the Technic Delicatessen website, Parda noted that there are two Lego Technic Ferrari F40 interpretations done by jetty and sardo. Jetty's F40 (17 pictures on Brickshelf): Sardo's F40 (9 pictures on Brickshelf) -- "Rerrari-f40-hog-steering-v8-all-suspension-opening-hood-and-motor-bay": Quote

DLuders Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) @ hga9: Blakbird provided the link to Crowkillers' Lamborghini Murcielago MPD file three posts up. Here is the link here. Crowkillers has lots of images on his Brickshelf gallery too. @ Tropy: No, I don't know of any PDF document for the "industrialdesigner" (Nathanael Kuipers) Concept Car. I downloaded Jovel's individual PNG files off of his Black Dragon Brickshelf folder, and combined them into a single PDF file (2.2MB). If you (or anybody else) wants the PDF, send an e-mail to LudersDG@MSN.com . Edited March 19, 2011 by DLuders Quote
Blakbird Posted May 16, 2011 Author Posted May 16, 2011 On a more important note, now that we have good pictures of the Unimog from the toy fair, we can confirm that quite a number of orange liftarms and panels are now available. Now we simply need someone with some time on their hands to figure out if it would be possible to built the Countach in orange like the render if one had a large number of Unimogs and any other currently available source of orange parts. Skyliner, would you object if I posted a parts list of the orange parts which would be required? It seems that the angle connectors and flex hoses would be the hardest. Now that much more information on the Unimog is available and we know it is really orange, I've decided to post a list of the parts needed to make this car in orange. Perhaps there is someone who has more time than I do who can figure out how many of these orange parts really exist at this point. Quote
legolijntje Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) -I can confirm that all angle connectors, except #4 are in orange. (but who knows waht's in the Unimog) -None of the axles are in orange (yet). -32068 isn't in orange. -cross block 2x2 and 2x3 aren't in orange, but 2x2 split is in orange. -6538 is in orange. -6536 is in orange, but 42003 isn't. -All beams are in orange, except beam 2 (43857). -All liftarms are in orange except 41677, that one in only in dark orange. -None of the panels are in orange. -None of the flexible parts are in orange. So, lego, please make more orange technic parts Edited May 16, 2011 by legolijntje Quote
P4trickvH Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I'll give it a try when i have some money again and the time to do the build. I like the model, and the color orange :) Quote
Meatman Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I think I would much prefer to build the Gallardo or Murcielago in Orange if it is ever possible. I have the Gallardo built in Red and it is a well thought out design and looks really cool from all angles. Quote

Blakbird Posted July 9, 2011 Author Posted July 9, 2011 the orange countach is awesome, which website/software are you using to display the parts list? cheers. The parts list is generated by LDView based on the LDraw model I made. I manually removed all the parts from the list which were not orange. Blackbird your renders look excellent, what is the name of the software you are using? Cheers. Rendering is done in POV-Ray. Go look at ldraw.org to learn all about LEGO CAD if you haven't already. DLuders Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 As noted by Conchas on this TechnicBRICKS post, Paul Boratko recently made this of his Lego Technic Lamborghini Murcielago. As noted in the various posts above, here are the links to the MPD file , Brickshelf images showing various stages of assembly, and more images of the finished model on Paul's Crowkillers.com website. jm731lego Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) As requested, here are some pictures of all of the Lambo's, now with Skyliner's Countach present. Looks pretty good with the others I'd have to say. Wait, you are blackbird?! Wow, these lambos are great shaped. Are these Lego sets? Paul202 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I don't think a builder named Tyler Reid had been mentioned, he's on Mocpages with some fantastic creations, my favorite of which is his Shleby Cobra. http://mocpages.com/home.php/17884 http://mocpages.com/moc.php/135724 Quote
