pranas Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Long time reader, first time poster, so bear with me if these images don't work or are too big or whatever. Still trying to figure out how this all works... So everyone seems to be putting up their Chibi MOCs here from the contest over at FBTB, so I'd thought I'd share mine too. Here it is, my first MOC since coming out of my Dark Ages a few months ago: the Chibi Landspeeder! You can view the rest of the photos on my Flickr. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Welcome to the forums pranas, and thanks for sharing your wonderful Chibi MOC with us. Picture size is perfectly fine, and actually it's really of great quality with a very nice presentation using the sand. Gotta say this is one of my most favorite entries I've seen so far, even at Chibi scale you were still able to fit in the 4 figs. Certainly most impressive! Quote
Flare Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Very nice work One of the better chibi MOCs I've seen here. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Welcome to EB! This is really good. I love how it's just a shorter version of thr real set. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Sweet. And I must agree with KDM on the excellent presentation. Quote
Gryphon Ink Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Great piece, pranas! To me, this really captures the hyperdeformed chibi ideal. I want to put it in my pocket and take it home and cuddle it! Quote
Stardusty Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 It's cute and nice, but I still more like second Luke's Landspeeder for FTBT contest. But i can't say it isn't cute. Good job. Quote
prateek Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Agreed with KDM, great presentation, and I think this is my favourite entry yet! Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I think I commented on this on Flickr, but, again, this is a great representation of the "chibi look". Cute and still functional. I love the addition of the orange background and the sand. Quote
KimT Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Nice, real nice and supercool picture setup Pranas. blogged Quote
pranas Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 Aw shucks, thanks guys! And thanks KimT for putting it up on the blog! That really made my morning. You can thank my awesome girlfriend for the environment and pictures. She came home from work a few nights ago with bags of sand and told me to dump it all over the dinning room table because we were going to have a photoshoot! And this was coming from a girl who just barely tolerates my LEGO obsession! Reasons like this are why I love her so! Quote
