DNL Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) It has been a while since i posted (and build) my last MOC, but i have finally taken pictures of my medieval city that was part of the Lowlug castle layout at Fanwelt in germany a few months ago. XimenaPaulina Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 EPIC, simply a masterful creation of that grand-scale DNL! The whole build is really breath-taking to look at, from the castle, landscaping, surrounding greeneries, everything about this is just wonderfully-made. Any estimate on how large is this build? (piece count, overall area size, build time). Outstanding work overall! Quote
bricked one Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) I was going to say epic but looks like someone already did, so instead I'm just going to say DOUBLE EPIC!!!!! Lots of architectural detail. Keep on brick'in! EDIT: fixed a typo Edited February 4, 2011 by bricked one Quote
Artanis I Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) I give up. I'm impressed! Really interesting uses of minifig legs. The rock is amazing, and I also like that the tree house is a different brown to the actual tree. That is far more realistic. edit: Internet is being crap and multiposted everything Edited February 4, 2011 by Artanis I Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I am speechless. Okay, maybe not speechless. I have just enough breath left to say, this MOC is...breathtaking. Quote
Dr Rod Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Beautiful work, attention to detail is outstanding all round. Quote
Alex the Great Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Well you've done it! You amazed me more than you did last time. I haven't gone through all the details yet, but just a quick glimpse and you can see the ammount of detail you have put in. Seriously I love large castle layouts,I wish I had enough bricks to build one. Lovely! Quote
iamded Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Oh la la! That is one beautiful MOC! Great to see your creations again DNL! Wow man. This is just outstanding. Love the details like the crop garden, and the hanging scaffolding construction thing. Such an amazing MOC! Quote
the Inventor Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Epic work, DNL. I already saw the Lowlug castle layout, but it is nice to see some close-ups of your part of that layout. The architectural detail of the castle is really neat, and I like that you've build those houses surrounding it, the cliff is also a masterpiece. Really epic, well done. the Inventor Quote
KristofBD Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Excellent work! I like the forestmen hideout and the buildings inside the castle's walls most. Good job! Quote
maydayartist Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 This is really spectacular. A little bit inconsistent to me is the half and half design of the castle. The half in front looks more like a keep for knights against siege and the high behind them like a typical castle as home of the aristocracy. Anyway, the design is perfect. The dark green on the forrest ground works perfect to give it a dark atmosphere. My dream is to build a castle in a similar way on a higher rock, but your work is unreachable Quote
The Undo Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Astonashing! I don't know what else to say. Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Wow this is one massive build, and yet it's so detailed! The detailing on the high towers on the castle is my favorite part, as well as the numerous building techniques across this MOC. (from town buildings, to lush forest, to mountains and high towers) I can't even imagine how much time, how many parts and how much cash this took to build, but it's a great product and carries a wow factor on several different levels! Congrats on a job well done! Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Beautiful! I love the hugeness of this, though the inside of the castle perimiter looks quite cramped. Amazing work! Quote
SuperBagel Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Wow!! I love the scale of the build. The more I look at the pics, the more cool details I find. I bow down to thee. Quote
Syn Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I can not begin to imagine the amount of time or the amount of Lego that went into this.... I now know what its going to take to build that castle I wanted to build......I think I've bit off more than I can chew now! this is stunning absolutely stunning. Quote
Tabris Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Outstanding MOC as usual, DNL. You are at a whole different level than most of us mortals. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Whoa, this is awesome! The detail is unbelievable!! I can't imagine how long this took, not to mention the piece count. How tall is this? Great job DNL! Quote
