No, if we read it, we should also poke a bit at the beginning, maybe he doesn't write the interesting information in the end. Maybe you can also cut pages out of it and give them to several people, to shorten the time we need to read it completely. And I would like to know the first date mentioned in the diary. Does it still play in Europe, or already in America?

"You're not ripping out pages from my diary." Dieter says.

The first date is January 1st, 1952. It's here in America.

Uh, I would like to flip to last night

Last night, Dieter wrote this:

These blasted commies are keeping me up all night. There's all sorts of noises and the like occurring outside. I can hear them, it's terrible what they're doing to this village. I haven't been able to sleep for awhile. While I was trying to sleep, Ackerson upstairs was doing the horizontal hustle was someone. I learned it was that Dolores woman. I'm surprised that her husband Patrick hasn't filed for divorce yet, he is a lawyer after all. I'll be pleased if we finally end this mess tomorrow.

It's a relief to hear Brenda will make it, poor thing.

I believe I still have the flag here with me, if you want I can run to the Fire Department and replace it where it came from. Perhaps someone should come with me though, just in case there's still a killer lurking in that area.

:hmpf_bad: Mumble..no edit rule..grumble...

I'd like to go with Alan; there is safety in numbers.

Patrick and Farmer Alan journey to the fire brigade. They put the flag up as it was when Alan found it. Krista, from the window, looks out for them. The flag is partially visible from the area.

After being dragged of and having my shoe checked, I'd like to return to Schneider's and take a cookie, then inspect inside his medicine cabinet in the bathroom.

"We checked my medicine, Councilman Ackerson. Don't you remember?" Dieter says.

Evidently not. Alright then, I'll just... eat my cookie.

I can't express how deeply relieved I am that Brenda is okay. Can you take her this copy of the Bard's Sonnets? I read them to her on our date. I know they'll make her feel better.

Did she happen to mention if she saw who stabbed her? If I get my hands on the dirty commie...

(I'd like a word with the mayor if possible.)

Hmm... well, I'd say that rules him out. Let's keep reading. I'd like to flip to the page before.

Stevie flips to the day before.

October 8th, 1952

Today we voted out Chief Phelps. It wasn't a particularly good argument for conviction, but once the bandwagon starts, it cannot be stopped. I wanted that Investigator voted out, however. He seemed like a bad investigator. Maybe if we voted him out, they'd send a new better one. I doubt he's a commie, but I don't like his inactive-ness in our investigations.

Go right ahead.

The regular game cuts out, for only a brief second...

"Hi everyone! It's your local Congressman here. I've got exciting news for our legions of fans!"

img_0493.jpg

"Oh...wait...no..." the Congressman says.

"How much did you say you were paying us to sit here?" one audience member asks.

"Well, for the members here of their own accord, we've got exciting news for you. The Red Scare Mystery Building Competition! What's that you ask? Well, there's three categories. I'll break it down into helpful points for you:

A) Scenes from the Past!

Do you remember the good old days? The days when your town wasn't infested with communists and people weren't dying from random knives? Your goal is to create a scene from this time.

B) Scenes not photographed!

Due to lazy hosting budget constraints, not everything has been photographed. Did you like the part when you were in the tunnels? How about the part where you were falling into the basement of the hotel? I know I did.

C) Building Interiors

Everyone has a house, but so far, not many interiors have been shown (Example: All houses). Create a scene of the interior of your house. Additionally, if your house is not been photographed (Example: Bradford Manor), go ahead and build your house, or the interior to your house.

Rules: There are none! Anyone can participate, those playing, those dead, those in the audience.

Prizes: There will be a special prize for the winner.

Judging: Either by a vote, or by a select panel of judges.

You can use an unlimited amount of bricks." the Congressman concludes.

"Can we leave now?" a second audience member asks.

"No. Good luck everyone, and I'd like every player to participate."

The scene changes back to the apartment building.

That's strange, I could swear that I just heard Congressman Bob.

I would like to move on to the last floor and enter Councilman Ackerson's residence. I would like a description of his apartment.

Wha- I feel like I was just seeing some wierd tacky add. Oh, well. I'd like to flip to the page before.

October 7th, 1952

Today we were searching in a wide variety of places. We looked in the Jefferson home, the roof of the Department Store, and a few other areas. Unfortunately...Valerie Jenkins died, it was very sad. Also, some Jackie woman died too, but nobody knew her really and we all feigned sadness. We didn't trust the newcomers anyway.

That's strange, I could swear that I just heard Congressman Bob.

I would like to move on to the last floor and enter Councilman Ackerson's residence. I would like a description of his apartment.

Ackerson's residence is the same size as Dieter's. He has a considerably smaller kitchen, but a larger dining room table, as though he entertains guests regularly. He also has a small bookshelf, and a reading area with a fire place. In the reading area is a lamp, which is over an easy chair. On a nightstand next to a table is the novel "Dracula". Ackerson's bed is in the corner, in the same area as Dieter's. His bathroom is also in the other corner, again in the same area as Dieter's.

Instead of waiting for Stevie to read every page in the slowest possible manner, I'd like to take the diary from him and read all pages starting from October 1st 1952.

On a nightstand next to a table is the novel "Dracula".

I shall then go through to Ackerson's residence and quickly look at the book for any oddities.

If the fireplace is cold, I would like to look for pieces of paper among the ashes.

Then I would like to inspect the bookshelf for any unusual books.

I'd like to look under the table, and ask him how often he has people over, and who exactly does he have over.

I'd like also to shake the Dracula novel, to see if anything falls out.

Finally I'd like to look inside the basin of the toilet, and around the back of it.

"I don't think we'll find anything else that's useful." General Stanley says.

Stanley has rejoined the group.

If the fireplace is cold, I would like to look for pieces of paper among the ashes.

Then I would like to inspect the bookshelf for any unusual books.

Farmer Alan looks into the fireplace, but it's empty. In Ackerson's bookshelf are several law books and government books.

I would like to look through Ackerson's bathroom cabinets.

Ackerson has a few bottles of aspirin, and some mouthwash, toothpaste, and other toiletries.

I'd like to look under the table, and ask him how often he has people over, and who exactly does he have over.

I'd like also to shake the Dracula novel, to see if anything falls out.

Finally I'd like to look inside the basin of the toilet, and around the back of it.

Looking under the table yields nothing. Looking inside the toilet basin yields nothing.

"I have all sorts of people over. Last week I had Mayor Bradford, Judge Cain, and Chief Phelps here for dinner."

I would like to search his bed, rip off the sheets, check under the mattress etc..

Searching his bed once again yields no results either. There isn't anything under the mattress either.

I'd like to know, before Patrick shakes the book, are there any bookmarks or slips of paper in it?

Krista takes Dracula before Patrick shakes it, but there's no bookmarks or slips of paper in it. Patrick then shakes it, but nothing comes out.

"I do believe we've search everything here? Don't you think?" General Stanley asks the group.

"Not quite, there is still the roof." Dieter says.

I'd like to be the first on the roof

I'd like to clonk Stevie on the head with my cane, and tell him to be careful. Then, I'd like to let the police officers go first.
