MrSheep Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Well inspired by the Black Titan model posted here by gerkenz I decided to have a go at my own, however i ended up with a few too many of some parts and a few too few of others so i had to adapt the model a bit. As you can see it is still a bit of a WIP as the left shin is missing (parts on the way) and im not sure how to finish the melee weapon hand off. anyway comments/suggestions welcome. PS this is my first attempt at posting with pictures so hopefully it will work- if the images are not there yet it may be just brickshelf being a bit slow, I attached a smaller preview also just in case. snefroe Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 well it's a good start! maybe you should now change the cockpit a little, so you really have your own moc? i think Apo created a tutorial to change the size of your pics... Quote
natelite Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 i also moc my grand titan. i used the same click joint just like yours. it makes the arms look bigger than the measely ones the original design had. much better in my opinion. :-P now you can try adding hands like the supernova. it's quite a challenge trying to resize the popeye arms. MrSheep Posted June 10, 2006 Author Posted June 10, 2006 Yeah, didn't realise the photos would be quite so big- I did half size them, oh well next time maybe 1/4 or 1/3. Both suggestions so far were things I was thinking of but its always good to know someone else think's its a good idea too. I should have bits arriving soon to make a right hand with and modifiy the sword accordingly. Been having doubts about the main gun as well as it looks so silly and skinny from the side, though none of the beefing up methods ive tried so far looked right either. Any suggestions for the cockpit type- something alondg the lines of the supernova or stealth hunter? Quote
MrSheep Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 Well here is my first modification to the original - the left arm is significantly beefier and I stuck on a stealth hunter cockpit- think it goes quite well, just waiting on the parts for the right arm and left shin now and maybe some more stickers! Quote
natelite Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 you could add some rockets to the torso (the four studs right next to the cockpit) like those from the supernova. or some greeble bits. i don't quite like the "wings." the position is very odd looking. i like the stealth hunter windshield. much better imo. btw, wouldnt it be better to order parts from 1 seller rather than to order from many? the shipping charge is quite ridiculous from some of them. gerkenz Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Nice - "black is beautiful" :-D The Blade is very good, but you have to do something with the small arm...some slopes will be finde to make them look much more heavy. Quote
KimT Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Nice work - though I'd call it a MOD instead of a MOC, but that's just me :-| Keep up the good work. Exo Force RULES *wub* KimT Quote
MrSheep Posted June 13, 2006 Author Posted June 13, 2006 Yeah- I guess for the most part it is a MOD, anyway new pics tomorrow or thusday I think as my latest batch of parts is on the way so should have this and my actual MOC mech finished very soon. I think probably thursday as its my last exam ever tomorrow so will most likely be out celebrating. Quote
MrSheep Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 Well here Is the final version- I think.... Really beefed the right arm and gave it a hand, added a couple of laser cannon on the shoulders- will probably replace them with black ones soon, though I kinda like the grey, Decided to keep the fins/wings as they add to the bulk of the mech and help the model to balance. Just debating over additional stickers and placements now. Quote
