tin7_creations Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Not nessecarily, some of the more recent sets (Quidditch Match and the upcoming Forbidden Forest) do contain a hefty amount of figures. Regarding the sets,I could easily see the Ministry of Magic, the DADA or Potions classroom, and parts of Hogsmeade as official ones. I'm guessing the following number of figs per set price range (in USD) $10: 3-4 figures $20-40 3-5 figures $40-$80 5-7 figures $80+ 7-12 figures Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Hogsmeade Village set. Sirius Well, more figs usually equals a decrease in new parts though; Quidditch had 5 figs, but everything else was sub-par. The Forbidden Forest is basically a minifig battle pack, the tree doesn't really do anything. But I agree with your breakdown of LEGO minifig trends; but the $80+ part should be changed to $80-100: 7-9 figures $100+: 10+ figures Insanely priced sets ($150+) have intense number of figs and depend entirely on what LEGO wants to include. I don't think I've ever seen a big set like this with more than 12 minifigs. ~tin7_creations Quote

Room Of Requirement: Harry Potter, Luna Lovegood, Cho Change, Zacharias Smith. New uniform torsos reflecting the darker uniform of the later movies with Harry sporting an open cardigan variant. Quote
maximumlego Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I like the idea if there came a Ravenclaw Tower or something: It would be a larger tower than the tower from Hogwarts Castle (4d version) Those places would be included: - basement: a little chamber of secrets with a basilisk etc. - first floor: an entrance with a knight (like normally) - second floor: Ravenclaw Common Room, with a fireplace and 3 seats or something like that - third floor: Ravenclaw sleep room with 2 beds - fourth floor: Room of Requirement with the Vanishing Cabinet, potions book and Rowena's Statue - fifth floor: Trelawney's office with crystal balls and stuff like that The minifigs would be: Harry Potter (Daily clothes), Nevilla (Gryffinfor robes), Luna (Ravenclaw robes), Trelawney (with hair like she did in HP years 1-4) and 2 new minifigs: Alecto Carrow and Amycus Carrow. Alecto would have light brown hair like Trelawney but in a knot. Amycus would have Rons hair but darkbrown. The set contains also a playfeature: ou can push a wall away and with a sort of elevator you could go to the RoR (like from Hogmeads to RoR in the book) Quote

Geki Brick Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) After the 2nd part of Deathly Hallows, will Lego still have the incentive to make more Lego HP? I apologize for being so cynical, but I don't see any more sets coming after Spring 2011. Lego HP will be over for a while (unless they bring it back as a commemoration theme). Well actually if it did then I would buy: -a set featuring Hagrid and Harry on the motorbike fighting Voldemort and a Death Eater. It would be a $20 set ( ) with power lines for Voldemort to crash into and Hedwig!!!! -a set featuring Dudley, Harry, and 2 dementors. The set would MSRP for 10.99 and feature and 7-step lamp post & Harry's Stag Patronus!!!! Edited February 28, 2011 by Geki Brick Quote

Geertos13 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I do agree that a Minisyry of Magic set would be difficult but cool though. If it were to be made into set the Atrium or "hall" you guys are talking about it probably would just be two fireplaces connected to a fountain. If LEGO is to make it ( which I highly hope and encourage ) I think it will be extremly difficult for them ) I don't agree with Kyp who says they created a Hogwarts set and Hogwarts is bigger And much more complicated with all the secret passages, trickstairs, portraits and so on and i'm pretty happy with the way lego "minimalized" it to fit as a lego set. so if they can make this giant complicated castle as a set, they can create the ministry as well... Hogwarts is a castle, that in the books and the movies has been extremly detailled and it is fairly easy to draw a map of it. The Ministry of Magic however is an underground office complex. The Atrium that is seen the movies doesn't really lead anywhere... In deathly Hallows the hole Atrium ends in a wide open space with ten lifts. we have not really idea either where these lifts really go, and it would be stupid to make lifts if not one of them can move to some part. Besides, the Inside isn't that complicated but the things you guys forgot : The Ministry of Magic has no outside ! You can't just make a set with blank walls on the outside. So unless it is a 2-sides building... A "Death-Star-like Construction" that means you can turn the model around so thatyou have two different parts of the ministry, other than that, I don't see any possibility ! Quote

But you are totally right about the outside i totally forgot about that... Quote

Vindice Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I'm bumping this back up as the HP 2011 sets string is getting a few ideas for new sets. I still think we're hoping against hope in getting another wave but you never know. If some of the less successful ranges are not brought back by TLG then they may find themselves having to keep going with it. My brother said to me the other day they should release a set with Sirius Black's bike. You could have it as a £10 set with from either the first film or the last. It meets all the criteria, Pivotal characters, iconic scene and a vehicle. If from PS it could be: Hagrid Harry micro figure Bike Dumbledore or if from DH Hagrid, Harry, Death Eater and Hedwig in cage. Quote
Gregorovich Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 (edited) I agree with the person who said about the Advent Calendar. However, I'd change a few things off their list. They wouldn't necessarily be in this order, but I'd like to see all of the following items, though I doubt we will: Day 1: Harry in jumper knitted by Molly Weasley with the Invisibility Cloak Day 2: Ron in jumper knitted by Molly Weasley with two presents Day 3: Hermione in Yule Ball attire (dark purple dress with dress slope, S4 ice skater hair in reddish brown) with glass Day 4: Mini Hogwarts Express engine Day 5: Trolley with suitcases and Hedwig Day 6: Rita Skeeter (Willie Scott hair, lime green suit with scarlet feathers around the neck, nasty smile/annoyed face) with lime green feather (Quick Quotes Quill) and parchment Day 7: Mini Hogwarts Castle (some towers at varius heights, one thick room for Main Hall, sand green cones for roofs) Day 8: Fireplace with Sirius Black's face Day 9: Gryffindor four-poster bed Day 10: Snow-covered tree with Fang the dog Day 11: Gringotts vault with Philosipher's Stone Day 12: Honeydukes shop window (same window pane as in Shrieking Shack) with chocolate frog, lollipops and printed chocolate bars Day 13: Mini Knight Bus Day 14: Herbology classroom with Mandrakes and other plants Day 15: Quidditch ball chest, 2 brooms and a trophy Day 16: Bookshelf with books and smashed lantern Day 17: Cauldron with shelf full of potions and PotC bottles Day 18: Professor Trelawney (similar to old one, but with old Hermione hair in medium nougat) with crystal ball, chair and two white cups and globe Day 19: Sink and tap with toilet and boiling potion Day 20: Tent (makes use of fabric tent piece from IJ Jungle Duel) - exterior Day 21: Tent - interior (beds, table, boxes, lantern, books). Put these inside tent from day 20 Day 22: Transfiguration Classroom with chair, table with rat, and teacher's desk with McGonnagle as cat and silver goblet and blackboard Day 23: Table with turkey, goblets and other food Day 24: Christmas tree Day 25: Dumbledore dressed as Santa with sack of presents Edited May 27, 2011 by Gregorovich Quote
Vindicare Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 That's not a bad calendar, Gregorovich, but day 8 and 23, those are already in the Hogwarts sets. Granted, not everybody got the castle, but I'm sure most people hid buy the calendar have the castle. I like your ideas for the mini models. Quote

Granted, not everybody got the castle, but I'm sure most people hid buy the calendar have the castle. I like your ideas for the mini models. Thanks. I know that the fireplace was in the castle, but I think that fireplaces are sort of a Christmasy thing, and Black's face gives it an HP touch. The table is also in Hogwarts, but it's not necessarily from it, if you get what I mean . It could be from, say, 12 Grimmauld Place or something like that. And about the mini-models, I hate the things (I only like minifigure-scale things), but I know most calendars have them. But thanks anyway! Quote
tj19941994 Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Personally I think we are all ready for some of the oldies to make a return, I mean, lots of sets we have not seen since 2001 haha, so I think they could do some remakes. Also, with the new modular system it becomes easy to make extra castle sets because you can just attach it to the end of your current Hogwarts. So here are some ideas: - The Philosopher stone chambers, OR: - Fluffy and the Devil's snare. - The Chamber of Winged Keys+The Chess Board. - The Final Chamber. - Hogwarts Classrooms. - Troll in the Bathroom. - The Rememberall. - 4 Privet Drive. - That Florish and Blotts Bookshop. - The Dueling Club. - The Chamber of Secrets/ - The Hospital Wing. - The Shrieking Shack. - Hogsmede. - Sirius Black's Rescue. - Care for Magical Creatures. - The Leaky Couldron. - The Clock Tower. - The First Task. - The Second Task. - The Third Task. - The Graveyard Duel. - The Room of Requirement. - The Ministry of Magic. ECT... What I mean is, there are sets to be made or remade! Quote
