Last week I finished my Lego Harry Potter Winter break contest entry. So I had some time this week to change my tram station which some of you may recognize as my entry for the winter village contest.

In my opinion it looks better compared to the original contest entry. It’s more symmetrical and the roof looks better in my opinion. Although it’s not finished at the moment. It is just a WIP.

Furthermore i was building a small engine house. However, it's not finished either.

I love this so much. Now that the contest is over, I'm not afraid of showing bias. :sweet: You've got so many great architectural details in a smaller set. I wish the LEGO City design team would build more sets like this. I get a little tired of the boxes with windows we get from them. Classic buildings like this have detail and don't have to be dumbed down just because it's a toy. I love to build on this level and have this much detail but I always bump it up to modular scale in order to do what I want. What I appreciate about your style is you're able to keep it in a more compact scale, closer to what LEGO would produce and keep that high level of detail in there. This is much more desirable for a layout if you have limited space too.

I really love how you used the white 1 x 1 plate with tooth in the roof. Awesome piece, isn't it? One of my favorites. Excellent structure for the roof. I like the way you used the hinges and I love how the mudguards work for the arches along the porch roof.

Excellent work! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

I particularly like the mudguards as arches.

A very nice station indeed!

What a neat little station, and there is so much detail in it too. A good use of arches.

I must say....AWESOME creation 'Dix' and that idea for using those wheel arches, oh man....pure genius !

Great snow capped roof and platform....also lower stonework and main archway stonework....very clever indeed. :classic:

Excellent work and Brick On 'Dix' !

I voted for this in the contest, and I agree that it looks even better now. I'm especially fond of the use of arches, both the dark tan one with PearlGold jumper plates above the entrance, and of course those car mudguards. Also like the guy cleaning snow off the platform - which is very nice in itself, built with log bricks. Looks very realistic. Can't wait to see it finished, with interior shots!

Top job, Dix.

Very nice creation.
