I really want them to make another black pearl!!!!

I agree. I'm almost tempted to NOT buy the black pearl because I have a feeling that it will get rereleased. If they do two ships I bet they are the flying Dutchman and the black pearl.

While it would be cool if they did an Imperial type vessel, I guess the plot of the next film might dictate what ships get released. My guess, (based on what I've read about the film) suggests that we MIGHT get the Flying Dutchman (due to Will Turner returning), a ghost pirate ship of some sort (Captain Salazars ship), and maybe and I emphasis maybe The Queen Annes Revenge and Black Pearl rereleased (because Barbosa and Sparrow will be in this film and both had those ships last time). But the last two I would say are less likely than the first two. So honestly I think the chances of an Imperial type Vessel are not good. Especially since that's 4 MORE well known ships that are pretty much certain to play a role in the film.

Well, wasn't it so that the last time they released sets from the latest movie, but also from previous movies? Just like with Indiana Jones, we had the Crystall Skull sets and sets from older movies too. So theoretically they can release any ship they want. But I doubt they'd re-release Black Pearl or QAR. LEGO rarely does this kind of thing. This isn't Star Wars which has been around for a while without a break, which justifies why we've had several versions of the X-wing and whatever ships they have there.

Thanks. I see that there is a mistake in my question: Where IS the new movie supposed to be in theaters?

In your local town, village or city. Maybe at your home on DVD or Blu-ray. I just re-watched At World's End tonight on DVD. :classic:

What do you guys think for ship wise in the newest film? Do you guys think that they will remake the black pearl or even make the flying Dutchman (with the rumors that will turner is returning)

I just acquired all the parts (color variation) for the 10210 (Imperial Flagship). I've always wanted a big ship and all the good ones came out during my dark years. That being said.... I would like to think that it's all but given that another Black Pearl set would be released. LEGO could really make so money if they did a D2C Flying Dutchman. The more ships the better.

The chances for them making another black pearl would not be too good especially because the one that came out in 2011 was already very good looking! But at the same time it is the star of the movies and maybe want to make another one for the new generation? And i can see them making a $180 to $200 flying Dutchmen, it would probably be the size of the IF with a full under deck and a bigger organ!

I disagree. 5 years is a long time in LEGO years. Look how often they redo Star Wars sets. I am by no means comparing the SW fan base to the POTC fan base that fuels so many redo but that ship is the absolute focal point of the movie. Another example... look how many Hogwarts castles were released. They released 4 versions of the castle in 9 years. This is just me hoping and praying. It would absolutely be day 1 buy (on double VIP points offer... LOL).

Okay i have to admit this is very true. But sadly the black pearl ain't part of a huge fandom like harry potter or star wars. Not saying POTC is not a big fandom, just is not as big. So like you were saying how lego puts out the main stuff quite a bit, there is a high chance that they will put another black pearl out just not as good of a chance

Hogwarts Castle is a bit of a special case... while there were four Hogwarts sets over those nine years, that was over the course of twice as many movies. And not only were many different parts of the castle included in the various movies (and consequently, the different set versions), but the castle ITSELF actually changed and grew over the course of the series, with each movie introducing new setpieces. Heck, the ability for the castle to reconfigure and rearrange itself as needed was written into the books themselves! For most film locations/vehicles, that isn't the case. A new X-Wing, for instance, may make adjustments to better match the subject matter or add new functionality, but for the most part the original subject matter (the target of any licensed design) remains the same.

That said, the Pirates of the Carribean license has been inactive for several years now, so it would not surprise me at all to see some repeated subject matter (like Harry Potter got when the theme returned from a hiatus in 2010). And that goes double for subjects which return in the newest movie, possibly including the Black Pearl itself.
