The set ship is 'missing' its middle mast like the mary, which also has a triangle back sail.  and the wench is red and black rather than brown.

Imo the fact that we only see 2 masts is the biggest giveaway. then there's the incomplete sails.

Not a bad theory, but I just don't see that been the case.  It would be a nice twist though.?  I do hope there's more minifigures than that, for a set that big I would really like at least 12.

Yeah, I'd be disappointed if it wasn't the Silent Mary. I also hope it comes with a good amount of cannons- not many ships Lego makes comes with enough to fill up all the ports.

I can probably guarantee you that they will only give you half the cannons you need :pir_laugh2:, the one and only flaw by lego.

Well that's really interesting. I like the idea of returning to POTC series, but I'm a little disappointed that they decided to release only one set. Can't wait for a better quality photo)

The shark looks really nice.  I wonder what they're going to do with such a monster in the film.

I could see that been the case, I mean it's pretty much a month until it'll be released to the VIPS so it makes sense really.

2 months.

So the March calendar should be released tomorrow or the day after that. I doubt we'll see pictures of the ship but hopefully it'll have the concrete early release date for VIPs. And I'm excited to see if they have a specific Pirates themed polybag promotion. I always love the free polybags or little sets they give you. Can't wait to get this, it's just too bad it's put my Disney Castle plans on hold.

Doesn't the promo polybags happen the month off the normal release, not for the early vip release? so it would be in april not march.

Ugh, VIP early access starts on the 17th but the double points ends on the 16th. Looks like I'm getting the Disney Castle after all and will delay this ship until the next double points weekend/month.

Edit: Actually, I'll just pick it up once the Homecoming and Ragnarok sets come out which should be June or August. Plus I'll have seen the movie by then and that might help me decide whether or not I really want the set. I mean, I dislike Star Wars and had limited interest in Krennic's Shuttle until I saw Rogue One and now I'm getting it next week . In this case it'll probably only make me want it more. Lego never disappoints with their pirate ships!

Is the ship £200 or £250?  I've heard both but I'm really not sure?

No One knows, ppl just say 200-250 cause that's general what a d2c seem to cost.

Could be more could be LESS.

Well I don't want it to cost to little otherwise were just going to get yet another one deck ship. :look:

Also I do hope that Lego continues to release POTC ships once/twice a year.  Similar to what they did with the Simpsons.  Maybe we could even get a CMF line.
