If I noticed right - Silent Mary is that original imperial ship form the first scene and also that ship which destroy all those other pirate vessels ...the front rear and overall shape are simmilar or not? :)

Ugh.  That trailer has sapped my enthusiasm for PoTC 5.  The whole ship smashing gimmick seems like a kraken retread to me.  A set based around that is not going to have me all that interested.

Agreed, this trailer was a disappointing mess.

So I watched on the teaser again and I consider my theory as confirmed...Both ships are same e.g. Imperial one (from 1st teaser and this spot) IS Silent Mary (same figurehead). So we can get normal version of her :) Or version in middle of change :)

But that is just in the flashback sequences.  The ship that's blurred out has little to know sails at all.  Unless It's going to be a feature where Lego make sails that can actually roll down.

That would be a nice feature honestly. One thing that wouldn't make since with this idea is how would they throw Jack, Will, Barbossa etc. into the ship. That ship was the prequel version and all of the characters in the movie would not make since with that time.

I know...possibly this will be the scene where all story will start..Salazar will travel to Devils Trident and he willl be possesed or something..and that will be tha point where Imperial battle ship will transform into that ghostly one..And maybe thats the reason why is Salazar into destroying all pirates...that is what he did before as Imeprial admiral..

Regarding that Lego incarnation..I guess that you´re right.. That blury picture we got suggests no sails and broken middle mast..lets hope for best result :)

From the size of the box it looks like we'll get 8-10 minifigures.  What are everyone's guesses?  Personally I hope we get at least 5 crew members of The Silent Mary.

I'm hoping we get Salazar, Barbossa, Jack, Will, Will's son, and the astronomer character (don't know her name). The rest I'm hoping are a mix of Silent Mary crew and Dutchman crew. I'm just glad we're getting so many figures!

We get a crewmate with an eyepatch, that very likely meant to be lieutenant Lesaro.

hopefully there's at least 8 figures but lego has been cheating us in the past.

How did you find that out?

Don't actually go too much by that. There are some ship limitations in the PotC movies, in that many of them are the same physical ship, simply redressed differently. For example The Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge are the same physical real world ship. Just with different paint and decorations. If you compare them the front rear and overall shape are the same. This might be the same thing with the Imperial ship vs the Silent Mary, or they may be the same ship story wise.

It's the same ship in story.

Not true. See "behind scenes" besides BP and QAR has different shape. Very different...

Exactly the same boat used. A whole lot of similarities, the whole front section is especially painfully same-same.

It's like less than 1/4 was changed.  http://imgur.com/a/d95KM

This is something lego ships too should reflect, unlike the current ones which aren't even the same base length.

Another reason a good d2c Black pearl would have been great, could easily be modded into the QAR

I think the Queen Ann's Revenge is going to get destroyed fairly early on in the movie imo.

Yeah, I think they're gonna have the Silent Mary destroy it and possibly even killing Barbossa as a way to show how powerful these new ghost pirates actually are.

I fear it will be a ghost ship Silent Mary, not the original war ship.

The reason is fairly easy, the dead sharks points clearly out that it is a ghost ship. I don't think the dead sharks would be the reason the original Silent Mary transforms into a ghost ship.

I only hope that by combining two Silent Mary's (ghost version), one could create the original imperial war ship (which is appealing way more than the ghost version)...

But a set prices at $199 just can't be that incomplete.  Part of me still thinks it could be the Dutchman.

We're kind of all assuming it's going to be the Silent Mary, we could be wrong.

I would rather get the FD than an incomplete ship, unless its really something special. Even then though, I have mixed feelings.

The official images can't get here soon enough.

I guess time will tell, the only thing that edges me away from it been the FD is this middle mast and the fact that the blurred out picture has no sails.

I don't think the fig count will be so high. At least one, possibly two, of the undead shark mold. The undead bird could plausibly show up. Consider the Silent Mary could be where a final battle takes place, so having Jack, Will, and others there makes sense.

I'm not likely to ever own this set, unless it is on discount somewhere, or a gift. But if some part or fig is useful to me, Bricklink here I come.

I've been looking at reviews of the Imperial Flagship for the first time and I am utterly blown away. I really, really hope Lego makes something as amazing as that with a proper below decks area, especially for a $200 set. I know it won't have all the masts and stuff but I just really hope it can live up to the Imperial Flagship.
