It's an awesome ship isn't it!  This is why everyone is so nervous about how this set is going to turn out and part of the reason why we wanted the Flying Dutchman or The Black Pearl because we would get a proper gun/lower deck.

I am 100% with you here. I really want to see something that goes down in the books. But I feel like the Flagship will hold its crown as king. Looking at the trailers I just can't see a proper gun deck on that "ship". I have a deep gut feeling that this might be one of those lego moments where they give us something that is ridiculously priced along with a small amount of minifigures.

Having a look at the trailer again I do believe the ship has somewhat of an ability to change its appearance.

Look I'm going to be pretty happy with whatever we get as long as it isn't the Pearl or the Queen Anne's Revenge. There's so many great ships in that trailer and I don't want to get a dumb rehash of a ship we've already gotten.

Just something I noticed, if you go to brickshows website they have an image of the Chinese ad that was released. It seems to be of better quality on that site for some reason.  You can see a resemblance in the bow of the ship like it's decaying just like the Mary.  I'd bet it has the play feature of raising the front of the ship and crashing down as seen in the trailer.  I have no idea how they'll pull that off

The Silent Mary makes too much sense especially with all the zombie-like pirates they can introduce.  Lego knows that zombies sell.  Definitely looking forward to those.

Ahh the speculation is always so fun and usually more enjoyable than the actual set.  I hope this one is an exception ?

Didn't notice anything about it on their site, maybe they took it down. 

Edit: Saw it, didn't realize it was an older post. Now that I've seen the new TV spot I agree, it does look like parts from the bow are missing.

At the rumoured price point (200-250), what if we actually get two ships? A fairly low piece count skeletal Silent Mary and a much more substantial Flying Dutchman/Black Pearl/QAR

would be ncei if it was a setup.

But the rumors don't actually say price point.    It's just that d2c  automatically comes with that expectation.

 

Besides making soemthing broken down looking takes a lot of pieces. also the whole cabin area is uite sizable. in the film

For a complete ship you can use long solid pieces, if it's a broken mess u need lots of smaller pieces.  Any time you make a hole you double the piece count  sortof.

Really? "MUCH NICER?" I really like my QAR, and it is technically the largest "Pirate Ship" Lego has made, but better than the Flagship? I would out the BSB, IFS, and SES a head of the QAR. To each there own though. ?

I doubt Lego would mislead consumers like that, and I'd absolutely hate two ships in one set. I think they should focus their energy on one huge and amazing ship! Although I hope that if this movie is successful enough and warrants a sequel, and the set sells well, Lego will make the Dutchman for the next movie.

BrickHeadz look cool. Definitely want Salazar more but will probably get both with the ship sometime this summer. Trying to rebuild my QAR and BP first and I need to save up some money. So are these the other sets releasing with the ship March 17th?
