I remember saying there would ne six movies, but that's because I remembered that there had been reporting of Depp being contracted for five sequels. I doubt they will kill off Jack permanently, just keeping the possibility out there to maintain the peril for the character.

I personally think that Will will only be saving the day in the end of the movie. Which is also why I have no faith that there making a Flying Dutchman and the reason why lego didn't give him a minifgure.

Well I thought this movie centred (partly) around Henry trying to break his Farther (Will) curse.  It would be good to see a sixth movie with the original BP crew though.

Yes, I picked up on the "final adventure" part. That doesn't sound like "possible future film no. 6" to me. That sounds like "The End."

Unless 5 makes all the money.

"The Final Adventure Begins" sounds like you have to watch part 5 to understand part 6.

That could be possible. I don't think there have been any rumours in that direction so far, but it could happen.

You never know, it could be another two part story.

Expecting this - cliffhanger being that Barbossa or Will would be the villains for the next film - which would hopefully mean a villain ship with Barbossa or Will.

Rather Will than Barbossa... but maybe it will be Salazar again... this upcoming movie could be two-part story...

When was it we found out that Dead Man's chest would be in two parts?

Before it came out, I believe.  There was a lot of talk about filming Dead Man's Chest and At World's End back-to-back.

I thought that was the case.  Quite possibly they may begin filming again after the 5th movie releases.

I know there is no reviews really up yet...but guys I don't know anymore :cry_happy:, it honestly looks so beautiful and would looks so great if I build it up with a cabin and "doors to scale". I think I need help deciding on this one.

To everyone who thinks this is the final movie, it's not. It says "The Final Adventure" and after that it says "Begins" so I'm most likely sure that there'll be another one.

I know what your saying about the film being part 1 of 2. But I think it all depends on Johnny Depp. He came out in an interview a little while back saying he didn't want to be a pirate anymore. So with that said I think this is in fact the last movie and when it says "begins" there talking about the beginning of this movie. Which means less chances for new ships for lego to make.

I agree that the future of the series is very much up in the air at the moment. Having said that, I think they made a good movie, and they know it. THIS film will reignite interest in the series I believe, and I think they have already noticed that.

I am hoping that they secretly made 2 movies all at once, but have kept it all hush hush. Even Lego themselves have been hush hush about more sets, which adds to the mystery. I also agree that saying "the final adventure begins" was an interesting choice of words. My guess is, they had SO much material to work with that they expanded upon certain aspects (hence the reshoots) and are indeed splitting it into 2 films. My guess is the whole Will/Flying Dutchman/and Elisabeth Swann story line will be saved for the last film. Will and the Dutchman will show up at the end and save the day, cut to credits. I also think that's why we haven't seen a Flying Dutchman set yet, Lego knows we want it and are saving it for the final film. Lego's official response to these questions were very cryptic, but didn't shoot down the idea either.

For a comparison I would use the Hobbit films as an example, not the Pirates 2 and 3. They always planned on Pirates 2 and 3 being separate films, and didn't hide that fact. With the Hobbit films, they had SO much material to work with that they stretched it into 3 films when originally or was supposed to be 2. Which they didn't even announce it was 3 films until the 2nd film was near release. I think that's what's happening here. We will find out it's actually 2 films close to the release, they just don't want to kill the anticipation for THIS film by saying "oh btw, it's part 1 of 2". I just hope the 6th film isn't a "tag along" like The Battle of 5 Armies felt like. Which all the places they can go with Will storyline, I don't believe it is.

Also I have to add, with what I have seen from the latest trailer, I think this story is strong enough to support 2 films like 2 and 3.

Will be my first pirate ship also, already ordered a lot of stuff to attempt to make it minifigure scale. The main problem is that The Silent Mary set we are getting is battle damaged, worn by years of neglect and scaled down quite a bit - especially with the golden spires it has going.

I've done a rough calculation and the actual set is about 12 studs wide... while to replicate the below image accurately you'd need to increase that to 16 studs wide so that you have enough room for the two back doors.

Main concern when replicating is primarily going to end up being the front cannons, given they and the spires have been shrunk down considerably and to make them in scale requires remodelling most (if not all) of The Silent Mary.

When i've got the parts i'll be able to start making some basic steps towards finalising a minifigure scale version. First step when i get the set will be to switch out the pre-existing mini-cannons with actual cannon which should give a general sense of what i need to do proportion wise.

As a sidenote, from my count you'll need about 32 cannons to replicate this. Its a minimum of 18 on the lower decks (9 each side) and 10 on the main deck (5 each side) and 4 at the front (2 each side spire)

Actually, the Hobbit was announced as a trilogy in summer of 2012, about 5 months before the release of the first movie. I doubt they secretly filmed two movies, as shooting would've taken much longer and I'm sure we would've heard a rumor. Personally I hope this movie does very well and prompts a sixth one, which finally gives us the Dutchman in Lego form. I'm very happy with the ship we did end up getting, however.

No sixth film is confirmed, only rumors. I really hope they make one though. I'll hold out hope for a Lego Dutchman forever
