Based on the discussion before, the QAR would have 105x bricks.

And 6285 has only more than 900 bricks; considering the # of sail of QAR and 4 cannons,

this new pirateship would be as good as 6286 SES

Now I can't wait to enlarge my fleet and make new MOD/MOC!!

As far as Captain's Cabin goes, I was expecting a complete room - like some MOCs we've seen in our captain's cabin contest... This set is pretty much a minifig pack with some extra accessories.

The Queen Anne's Revenge looks great! I don't think it's as big as the Imperial Flagship, like someone stated, seems more like the size of SES to me. I'll definitely get this one! :pir-classic:

Does anyone else think that those pictures are not the "official" photos? I think i can only spot one Captain Jack looking mini fig and where it says number of pieces there is a big XXXX (maybe that means beer comes with each sets-that's a joke for all the Aussies out there)

Also on the Cannibal island set it looks like those islanders are just computer generated minifigs.

I agree - there are so many signs that these pictures are still of prelim boxes. But I guess the actual design of the sets are close to finished IMO

I still think these are going to be taken down within a couple of days, not only are they preliminary but they show details of the fourth movie. Also, no one else is showing the images, suggesting they haven't been authorised for common usage.

I am a bit disappointed with the overall design of these sets. :pir-sceptic:

There are a few jewels and the QAR looks to be one of them, and so far the accessories look alright, but the actual builds and architecture are unimpressive when compared to, for example, Prince of Persia. That theme had some excellent builds, new parts, recolored parts and the sets felt fresh and set a great scene.

The fight for the dagger in particular was a great set; the architecture, colors, new moulds and characters made you feel like you were in the movie, while these look like they were made as merchandise for the movie out of pre-existing parts. I hope the final minifigures are so impressive that I can overlook the designs, and I hope against hope that most of the sets change for the better and include new parts.

My biggest grievance is with the fountain set and the White Cap Bay set. (Both have nice minifigures but are in the shadow of some really generic design)

What it may be is that the box art itself is unexciting; just a blue strip with Jack's face on it. I was expecting more of an old map kind of print on the box; something that reminds you of the movies and pirates in general, which isn't a blue stripe with the Disney logo on it. :imperialguard_commander1:

Having said all of that I think the QAR, London Escape, Captain's Cabin and the Cannibal Escape look great! All are must-buys! :pir-cry_happy:

Thanks a million for these pictures! I'm most looking forward to the set with the mermaids, Isla de la Muerta, QAR and the Cannibal escape. I can't wait to see some finalised pictures!

As we see, the new 2009 redcoat torso is the same in POTC sets, love the globe ball, but QAR is looking a bit weird, i dont kinda like the sails so much. But i wish at TLG would give us those HQ images soon. Only whats worrys me alot is at is my wallet able to handle all this? :pir-look:

In my opinion all the sets are good with nice pieces, but here is some of (in my view) the ones with the best pieces.

The Queen Anne's Revenge is about the same size as the Impeerial flagship or the skull eye's schooner with a figurehead of a white skeleton with a spear and a chrome cup. I think it should have been black but anyway.

Whitecap Bay has a light up brick and the design looks great,so no criticism there.

The fountain of youth has plenty of trans blue pieces but they used the ordinary redcoat torso. :pir-cry_sad:

Isle de muerta could have a little more gold but it is meant to be cheap so Im not arguing. :pir-tongue:

And the captains cabin has a nice globe piece, ship in a bottle and what looks like a new quill piece.

This is one good line for pieces anyway. :pir-classic:

I think I would actually kind of like that...I have tons of redcoats from the 2009 line, so I could carry them over with a switch to fleshie hands and faces. I think I still might use them anyway, since soldiers don't appear to be in many of the sets.

EDIT: After thinking about it, if TLG decides to go with the cursed crew of the Pearl, wouldn't it be cool if they included some non-shredded sails so we could have the other version of the ship? Just a thought.

I can't wait to see the finished product, because as we know a set can change alot from prelim to finished product so sets like QAR might not look that detailed now but the finish product might look just like the QAR in the movie. P.S. still hope they'll eventually make the Dutch Man.

There seem to be some excellent design features on the QAR - I think that the cabin area is pretty well constructed, and the fact that the middle mast has three sails makes it look really great.

These early set pics looks great. Can't wait to see the final figures. I especially like the London escape set, nice house, two great carriages and brown horse. Top set

Really looking forward to these sets, and to the movie, which surely can't be any worse than the third one in the series. The Queen Anne's Revenge (Blackbeard's flagship, not his only one) looks fantastic, and London Escape looks interesting too. I've always liked the idea of 'civilian' land-based Pirate-era sets, and minifigs which are not specifically pirates or soldiers.

During the first wave of pirate sets, I always wished Lego would swap the colours of the omnipresent Cap'n Redbeard to give us Blackbeard with a red outfit. Could this be about to happen?

I wonder if this or future POTC episodes will see an appearance by the Spanish navy. Then the Lego Armada might sail the high seas once again!

The only drawback is flesh-toned minifigs. I still haven't got used to these. I wish Lego would offer the heads in yellow as an alternative, even if they are not used in box art or publicity material.

I think I see a soldier in the pic from kris kelvin, I hope its a new torso and not the same as the 09' pirate line.

Oh come on, that train left the station eight years ago. No use crying about it anymore, fleshie minifigs for licensed themes are here to stay.

i thin that those arent final minifig photos, but if they are i won"t gonna be interested in this theme at all

I'm almost sure that those aren't the final minifigs, because most of the torso prints are PoP torsos and Indiana Jones torsos. I don't think they'll stay like that. :pir-classic:

I find that the sets look fine. They aren't the most impressive sets LEGO has ever produced, but they aren't terribly shabby either. The QAR looks about right given the price tag. To get a truly impressive vessel you'd have to shell out a lot more than the 102 GBP sticker it's been given. I think that anybody expecting anything more was just creating a bit of false hope. The red sails are a nice change from the standard striped sails LEGO puts on its own ships and the detailing looks comparable to most of LEGO's larger vessels. The other sets are also par for the course and look to be a decent source of bricks. There's a lot of brown, grey and tan to be had from this line.
