JimBee Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Sorry if this was mentioned here or elsewhere before, but according to Brickset, TRU stores in the United States are having a BOGO1/2 sale for all Lego sets besides Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Mindstorms. And like they said, it's just in time for the PotC sets, so now's a good time to get them cheap. Quote
dark1san Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Was just going to post that information, but good that someone got it out to other members here :) Quote

jonwil Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Has anyone obtained the Captains Cabin set yet? Can someone do a review of it (or at least post pictures of all the parts)? Its the only POTC set I am interested in (I don't build Pirate and hence have no interest in most of the sets) Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I've just found a pic of the new gold coins in vedder7's brickshelf folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4985427 By the way, all 8 sets are now available on s@h (at least in the US and Canada) Quote
LegoIndy Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Do you know when Lego is going to upload the instructions of this great sets ¿? Thanks and regards ! :D Quote

Those are ridiculous! I went today looking and hoping to get some POTC sets, but wasnt lucky. I think i will have to wait May.. Wich is way too long yet. I wonder how in the world can US and UK has the sets already, if they were supposed to be relased in May. I want these sets so badly right now, oh and anyone think at Lego will use these new elements and printings (Like New Redcoats officers Torso and the hat) in future Classic Pirates theme? That would be cool. Captain Becker Quote
Cad Bane Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 POTC sets available on Shop@Home! (at least in the USA, haven't checked other countries yet...) On another note, the "Captain's Cabin" set has been renamed "Zombie Pirates". (at least, that's what it says online...) Quote

I checked the website, and so far, they are NOT available in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, & the United Kingdom. But they ARE available in the U.S. and Switzerland. Looks like April 18th is a limited release, with the other countries getting them in May. Quote

Well.... that sucks... why does America get it even before the country that made LEGO?... Quote
narbilu Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Bummer that these sets will come after easter in the Netherlands (Europe)... have a lot of time then :) Anyone still speculating on the crew for the Black Pearl??? How about these two??? Quote
Invader Zim Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 POTC sets available on Shop@Home! (at least in the USA, haven't checked other countries yet...) On another note, the "Captain's Cabin" set has been renamed "Zombie Pirates". (at least, that's what it says online...) Interesting renaming. I suppose that will appeal more to the primary audience than the Captains Cabin. When I picked up my sets at TRU both the boxes and the store labels were using the 'old' name. Zombie Pirates may not really be my favorite name ever, but with those bottles, globe, and new map they could call it just about anything and I'd get it. Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I've just found a pic of the new gold coins in vedder7's brickshelf folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4985427 By the way, all 8 sets are now available on s@h (at least in the US and Canada) I'm definetely not a fan of those! They look terrible enough, not being chromed, but it's even more horrible that they've got those big holes in the back. I don't know why they went to the trouble of making a new mould when they don't even look as good as the old one. I went today looking and hoping to get some POTC sets, but wasnt lucky. I think i will have to wait May.. Wich is way too long yet. I wonder how in the world can US and UK has the sets already, if they were supposed to be relased in May. We unfortunately don't have them in the UK yet. I don't understand why the US usually get sets before everyone else. Quote
Big Cam Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Over on Brickset, they've listed a new polybag! It's Jack in a little boat. Nothing too brilliant, but it's okay. EDIT: What's he holding? I never noticed it at first, but now that I look more closely, I see that he's holding something. This is great news, I only hope these polybags make it to the states. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm pretty sure he's holding a bottle in the polybag set. Quote
Zeya Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 On another note, the "Captain's Cabin" set has been renamed "Zombie Pirates". (at least, that's what it says online...) They probably changed the name because it would mislead you into thinking that the set included Blackbeard. Also, the new name explains why the QAR crew looks so weird. Time to add the collectible minifigure zombie to the crew! Quote
Captain Becker Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 We unfortunately don't have them in the UK yet. I don't understand why the US usually get sets before everyone else. Sorry, my bad, i remember reading at somewhere at they were already in UK also. And i might know why US get the sets earlier: "God blesses America!" And you have to admit at in some points its true. Commodore Hornbricker Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I am sooo excited that this day finally arrived! That was a long wait. I wish we had original pirates but this is the next best thing. Long live Lego Pirates of the Caribbean! Quote
Big Cam Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm pretty sure he's holding a bottle in the polybag set. I agree, which makes it even more appealing. Quote
Fives Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I am so happy that the sets are out on shop@home. Too much excitement? I'm gonna order he Isla de Muerta! Also, has anyone else had the problem of the 'more views' and 'zoom' not working? When I try to zoom, it just sits there with this wheel just going around, and nothing pops up. Is there a reason for this? Quote
