    • Rocket (for cruising the universe)
    • Cruiser-Class Ship (like those used in the Navy)
    • Star Wars Attack Cruiser (built Technic-style); there have been Star Wars Technic sets in the past.

So far, there has been virtually no information (so far) about the upcoming 2H2011 Lego Technic 8081 "Extreme Cruiser" set. There (apparently) was no display of it at the recent 2011 Toy Show. The set is ripe for speculation. What do you think it is? :look: Make your guesses about the primary ("A") model.

I'm gonna guess a motorcycle, mainly because there is already a car coming out.

DLuders, you should add the answer "a fake" in your poll. ^^

That would be possible. Last year there were some rumors about the Executor class destroyer in the Star Wars topic and I am still waiting for that :)

Why isnt in poll column offroader?I think it will be something like sets 8858, 8435 or 8437 .

And why I think it's going to be car?In creator line for year 2011 have also set with the title cruiser. And yes it is car.

Hey, there is !

Well, not the one you may be talking about...

The price shown here is the same as the price of 8069. A large motorcycle would fit this price.

Since over the last 4 years there has been a >1000 pcs set that is not the flagship (8053, 8265, 8295, 8274), I think 8081 should fit in this category.

I would vote for a vehicle similar to 8465, but bigger, depending on the price. This is the only Technic set I know of that has 'extreme' in its name. Ideally it would be scaled up with power puller wheels but with a minimal chassis so that it has ~900 pcs.

Without reading the other replies, my first guess is a trike. My second guess is a boat of some kind (probably a speedboat).

Don't know why it's such as secret as anything mentioned above seems boring to me anyway,I'd of taught it might be some sort off jeep ie hummer etc!

I guess it will be a trike. :hmpf_bad:

I hope it will be an offroader and that it will have have Power Puller wheels! :cry_happy: But it wont be a car because we already have one and every year has a motorcycle set. :hmpf:

Does anyone know why there are no pictures of it?

perhaps it will be a bicycle? like a beach cruiser? maybe with a working brake caliper system? :classic:

Or may a better version of the (vélo)Solex I'm working on...

Sorry for this blatant attempt of self-promotion....

Is the price which is listed on kiddiwinks true?I believe its not.I somewhere(I think on eurobricks) read it is 75 €.

And I cant understand why arent any signs, photos etc of extreme cruiser  .

This South African Lego website (Kiddiwinks) does indeed list the mysterious 8081 Extreme Cruiser set as costing 658 South African Rand (equivalent to US $95.08). This set must be fairly large. That website says "Release middle to end June" 2011.

I'm guessing that it's some sort of Hotrod, like the Power Functions ones on the MOCpages Rod Club:

Maybe it's like Sariel's HotRed :cry_happy: -- "HotRod with Bugatti 35-like bodywork, full independent suspension, PF drive and steering, 4-speed manual gearbox, V14 piston engine, working steering wheel": (more pictures on Brickshelf)

I bet it's not hot rod, because hot rod is alternate model of supercar 8070.Kiddiwinks price of extreme cruiser is more higher than regular price in USD or in the Czech Republic crowns.Price is same as sets 8069 and 8041.

Let´s hope Grogall will have some high res. pictures of extreme cruiser as soon is possible  .

I have a possible answer  !Czech shop posts description about this set http://www.kebula.cz/prckov/eshop/8-1-LEGO/53-2-TECHNIC/5/847-Extremni-jezdec-8081

Here is google translate-With this sturdy car to get everywhere. Give to the toughest terrain and try the realistic four-wheel suspension, which handles all inequalities. Open the hood and check the moving pistons. The car has opening doors and trunk. It can be converted to a modified offroad car.

Great news, I absolutely love offroaders!
