Hoffman, are there any of us here that had access to your facility or might have visited in the past? Do you know if any of us had knowledge of the place before this whole thing started?

Did Howard write the note that was with the gold and stuff for Ackerson?

One more question, I hope this wasn't asked yet: Why didn't the General shoot you, although you're oviously against him? And why did you stay here, although the General might think again about letting you alive and come back to kill you?

"He can't shoot me, at least not yet. I'm in charge of Project Wolf, without me the other people working on the Project wouldn't side with Stanley."

Did Howard write the note that was with the gold and stuff for Ackerson?

"Not that I know of."

Howard did not write the note about the gold for Ackerson, nor did he write the note about the box to the Soviet Union with Harrison's badge.

I say we search the rest of the hills as there could be something this Howard could've dropped or found.

Moving on to the next hill...

What part would you like to search?

I'll check in and around the foliage, to see if anything's hidden in there. Then I'd like to check around the tree stump and it's exposed roots.

And the grass! I'll search the grass.

"Do you need to step on my foot like that?!"

I'd like to shove the councilman out of the way as he tries to search the grass while I was already searching the foliage.

I'd like to examine the strange rug, and try to determine it's age and origin. I'd then like to look behind it and see if their is anything their.

I'd then like to look inside the tree stump.

Examining the rug, it appears to be about four years old.

"I believe I saw that once in the Department Store a few years ago." Dieter says.

There's a grim sight behind it..

img_0536.jpg

"Ahhhh!" Patrick screams.

There's a note on the body. Patrick then goes to look inside the tree stump, but it's empty.

I will check the bicycle for signs of ownership and see what condition it is in.

"That's my moms bike. We were looking for that." Stevie says.

It's considerably rusted, but there's evidence of blood on both handlebars.

There's nothing really in the foliage, or around it either. Buried under the tree stump, however, is a simple locket.

I'd like to search the foliage.

Dolores as well searches the foliage, but cannot find anything interesting either.

And the grass! I'll search the grass.

Will looks in the grass, and steps on Dolores' foot. He cannot find anything suspicious though.

"Do you need to step on my foot like that?!"

I'd like to shove the councilman out of the way as he tries to search the grass while I was already searching the foliage.

Dolores shoves the bumbling councilman out of the way, and continues searching the foliage.

I'd like to climb to the top of the hill and look down, and see if there's anything unnoticible from the ground

Stevie climbs up, but cannot see anything that isn't noticeable from the ground.

I would like to try and determine the corpses' gender.

I'd then like to read the note attached to the corpse.

The corpse is a female.

The note is a preliminary autopsy report:

Subject: Laura Jefferson

Date Of Death: 04/12/47

Noticeable Marks: Blunt Force Tramua to the head.

Possible Cause of Death: Blunt Force Trauma

Notes: Will know more when full autopsy is completed in one weeks upon my return. Last autopsy, as I retire when I return home.

I'd like to pick up the skull of the skeleton and see if there's anything strange about it.

Blood on the handlebars? Hmm... someone must've killed the victim, then wheeled him in with this bike. But what would someone be doing with Delores' bike? Delores, Dad, you wouldn't know anything about this, would you...?

Mom??? default_cry4.gif And they knew she was was killed? So... she was hit... fell off the Town Hall... they put her on the bike... and moved her here. But this is Delores' bike- I think that highly raises suspicion against her.

Do we know who filed the report?

This isn't Dolores' bike, this is Laura's bike. The now deceased Doctor Geller filed the report. He was having memory problems, and couldn't remember what happened.

Oh default_blush.gif Do we have any other reports from Doctor Geller? If so, I'd like to see them. Just to make sure it's his writing. And I'd still like to pick up Mom's skull to see if there's anything strange.

Hoffman, was Laura involved in your facility in some way or do you know anything about her murder?

I'd like to open the locket found by the tree stump and examine it for any engravings or pictures inside.

I'm sure you could find them at the Town Hall Records Office, or in the Police Station. Stevie then picks up his mother's skull, and plays a sick twisted version of Hamlet. However, there's nothing strange.

"No, she wasn't. I've never heard of a Laura Jefferson."

Opening the locket has the picture torn out, as there's a small fragment where the picture should be, but engraved is "My love forever."

Patrick, do you know this locket? Was this Laura's?

Well I'm afraid we might have found out what happened to poor Laura... but not why?

The presence of the preliminary autopsy report here is telling. Someone in the police was likely involved in this mess, not only by dismissing the death as an accident -- which we can brush off as sloppy work -- but now it would seem that the police helped hiding the body as well! We know that Officer Phelps was a commie, so his involvement in this strange death suggests that the whole operation has something to do with what the Soviets are after in Alabatha.

What has Laura's death achieved? A couple of ideas spring to mind, we'll have to think this out carefully.

I asked this a while back but never got an answer: Delores, were you able to deliver that message to Patrick back when Laura was murdered?

Honestly, I have no idea. That was years ago.

Maybe I can jog my memory.

Laura? After all these years...

I'd like to remember if the locket was Laura's, and ask if it would be possible to keep it.

Goodness another body! I can't believe this! I think that Mrs. Jefferson might have had someone else in her life who loved her besides her husband. She wasn't part of Project Wolf and there is a locket...

I would like to see if the locket has the same amount of rust as the bike to determine how long it has been outside for.

Next, who lives close to the area?

Wha???

Wasn't Laura buried after she died? Didn't I attend the funeral?

"We buried an empty casket to give us closure." Patrick says. "Her body was stolen from the morgue."

Honestly, I have no idea. That was years ago.

Maybe I can jog my memory.

"If I remember, Senator Jefferson was out of town at the time, so I wasn't able to deliver the message." Dolores says.

It is not Laura's locket.

It does have the same amount of rust as the bike. The Jefferson House, Jenkins House, and Simmons Farm are all over the hills.
