Yep! The wind turbine fits much better out there in the countryside. So now you have plenty of space for a nice residential area close to the beach - with no complaints from the residents about noisy wind turbines in their backyard

That's looking a lot better. It certainly fits better with a farm as opposed to the middle of a city. Looks really high though... Gotta nitpick something

Thanks 'Lightningtiger' and 'Laka' for your comments.

Ahh I wanted it higher as the blades were too close to the track so I had to put them a bit higher default_tong.gif

I see how that could be a problem. Looks good though. How are you incorporating the Pet Shop? Which 2 are it going in-between? Are you keeping the 2 together?

I'll be keeping them together in between the CC and FB. When the next modular is released next year, I'll move them to the side of the GE and the CC right next to the train tracks default_thumbup.gif

Today I went into town to try and find some of the new lego city sets. Once again I failed. But I did buy some seires 3 minifiigures. I managed to pick up the sumo wrestler (Three to be correct). I'll be using the sumo's body on the beach for some larger men.

Another update coming soon. I hope to do something to the pond in the middle of the town.

I'm getting the Harbour sets tomorrow, (and hope to do a review). If you want I can pick some up for you and post them. Whereabouts in England are you?

Nah it's alright. I've just pre-ordered the sets from S@H. but thanks for the offer default_classic.gif

I bought the Marina the other day, it's a pretty decent set with 3 new torsos(2 of which are are the same). Although, I'm not sure why the lifeguard is in pants and a sweatshirt?(the same from the Small Car-white with blue hood/pocket). That could be easily remedied with the much more appropriate s2 lifeguard.

Okay small update.

So I've ordered the Marina, Harbour, Lighthouse, Hillside house and the pet shop. I ordered the pet shop on the 10th when it was released and ordered the rest on the 16th.

Hopefully they will arrive soon as the pet shop is very late as its now the 18th. When they do come I'll build them and post an picture update soon. :classic:

One another note I have finished remodelling the farm area. All I need to do is add a few more tree's, flowers and other things. so that will be soon completed.

Still no sign of the new sets being delivered so I'm gonna e-mail lego and try and find out why they haven't arrived yet.

But I have done something to the city, I've moved the Ice cream parlour to the space where the wind turbine used to be. It's a lot better and it's in a better place.

I'll post pictures of some of the other things I've done to it tomorrow.

I'm also thinking of doing somthing to the pond in the middle but I don't know what, so any suggestions on what I can do to make it look more attractive then do post them.

I am also excited about the Pet Shop, but have to get the Grand Emporium first before it runs away! Apparently it's to be d/c before Fire Brigade.

I've heard this and was wondering if there was any truth in it. I recently got back into Lego and am treating myself when my exams are over and I've moved house (where I get a converted loft, where I hope to build many a lego set  ), and I don't know which one to go for as I really don't wanna miss out on the Grand Emporium..

Sorry for hijacking your thread, The Yellow Brick. Your town in unbeliveably awesome and I'm too jealous for words, where do you find the money, time and space for all this brilliant Lego?!!? I will keep an eye on your thread as I can't wait to see the Pet Shop and the various other sets added to this coastal town :classic: .

very nice town! and it looks like you have a lot of space for growing! one suggestion would be to add a wheel (don't know how, but thinking) on the end of the barrier close to the cafe corner: in this way when you raise and lower it, the wheel will spin and make the gate in the right position.

one question: what did you use to keep the track in place? I have seen some "little something" but I cannot understand what they are! and if you hve nailed them, why not nail the track directly?

have a nice train lego day

Repost a picture of the pond. I'm assuming it's the one from the Town Plan? Or is it a custom one...

Edit: I checked the first post and seeing as I only saw one pond in your pictures, I'm going with that. It looks good as is, but there's a lot of empty space there. It does look good in it's current state. Maybe just adding some trees around the perimeter of the green area would fill it in better.
