If any LEGO Technic AFOLs attended the LEGO World 2011 show in Copenhagen, can you explain what this GIANT LEGO Technic tracked vehicle is? :look: It was photographed and posted on Matija Grguric's Flickr photostream of the event, but there is no description or explanation. There are only these four photos below.... :look:

Whatever it is I want it! Or the blue print (not to build, I don't have enough pieces but to study).

I guess inspiration for it must be the Bagger 238 bucket digger (pic 1, pic 2) and NASA's crawler transporter (pic). Info about the machines: http://www.openpit.info/?p=703

I wonder how many parts that they have used in total. And more about how it functions. We can see that each track has at least 4 PF XL engines (perhaps doubled with the engines back-to-back). The track has suspension. There are 4 NXT bricks in the front.

What are they doing with all those NXT bricks?

From the video I now count 9 of them.

The one from LEGO world2011 have an additional section above (the one I wrote about the NXT motor). Perhaps camera etc. mounted there?).

In the middle of the machine there is something I can't see what it is really. It takes a lot of space. At least one NXT motor and sensors. Somewhere they need to have NXT IR-link <-> PF IR-receiver. Perhaps there and then "shielding" it from or links by building them into small compartments. And a lot of PF battery boxes...

I was exhibitor at LW2011 Copenhagen, and yes - that bot is one giant cambot. It's driving around with "eyes" (webcam) in human height - i haven't seen more at this model, but i talked with the creator of the flying NXT, Grohl asked about.

The flying NXT (Luftballon at danish) was only build by around 500 parts - 2 NXT's - one for remote control (joystick) and one inside the airship. 2 propellers are making the airship going up, down - forward and backwards. These propellers was driven by one Buggy motor each.

I kid throw a poster at one of the to ballons, and it explode and the airship was of course going down. :hmpf_bad:

In LEGOWORLD the two creators also make a lot of other so cool and big creations - but the balloons was definitely the best!

- i want to build one my self.

Yes, the airship was the most interesting construction at Legoworld 2011 Copenhagen.

My giant robot was together with the airship (codename BIC5....) the billboards of the Mindstorms booth at the event.

There was a lot of other great stuff. Head controlled Football game, Sumo botts, monsterchess and Wall_E, and.....

And yes the airship has crashed, and the nice thing was that it was recorded by a on-board camera.

The movie of Bazmarc was made during the event. So wait for the nice movies to come........

Congrulations for this huuuuge model! How much parts did you use?(over 20,000?)

I can't wait to see further footage.

I think Eric already knows this but if there was one builder I wanted to following in there footsteps, its him. His stuff is just massive and awesome!
