Lately I've found myself playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 on PC. A lot. Seriously, a ridiculous amount. Insane. But so much fun. :sweet:

So that got me thinking, "I wonder if anyone else on EB plays?" I'm sure some of you do, but is that enough to warrant a topic? Not really. Then I had an idea, "what if we got together and played?" It could be interesting to meet you outside the context of the forum and at the same time it would give me a chance to set some of you on fire to have some fun with you.

Ok, so here's what I want to do. If you're interested in playing some TF2 together, post here. If there's enough interest, we'll try it.

At the same time, I know that some of you probably played previously and don't any longer. If that's the case, you're likely to have an entire backpack full of items that are going to waste. Since the Mann-conomy update (Sept 2010), it's possible to trade items and craft metal to make other things. So, if you have a bunch of vintage weapons (most weapons became vintage at the time of the update), hats or anything else you no longer need, PM me and maybe we can make some kind of deal that makes us both happy, and a happy Shadows is a nice Shadows.

Wait... what? Some of you don't even know what TF2 is? Where have you been? :hmpf:

I should add that there is a Eurobricks group on Steam, but it isn't us. I have no idea who is running it, so doing join it thinking it's actually related to the site.

If you're interested, please reply and then PM your Steam account name so I can add you as a friend and we can coordinate a time to play.

Thanks for your interest!

Well, you know Draggy and I would be in.

And we know how much of a fan you are of TF2.

So, who else is keen for some TF2 madness? If you bought the game when it first game out, and haven't played since, there's been a slew of updates featuring new items, weapons, tons of hats. Such hats! Magnificent hats! So many hats!

But yes. Erm. If you play TF2 we'd love to see you in game some time!

Would it be better to have a Eurobricks steam group?

As I mentioned, one already exists but it isn't ours. If whoever has it would like to turn it over to EB, it could be used otherwise I could make a new one so it's official and under our control. Whichever way it goes, I would want the group to be led by official staff since it reflects back on the site.

Yes. I love this idea. I just got the game last christmas and I've been playing it ever since.

It would be a lot of fun to be able to play it with other EB members. I'm going to embarrass myself at it, but hey.

I know next to nothing about this game. Are the servers for PC/Xbox 360 the same, or entirely different?

Completely different. Pc version has like 4GB worth of free DLc. I don't think the 360 got anything.

I play it regularely, but on PS3. The only platform never to receive ANY additional content...

(I have excellent sniping skills for a PS3 player BTW  )

I am however planning on getting it for PC though in the near future, so I'd join the guild

Darn. I'll have to stick to Black Ops then.

Right, this would be for the PC version, I'll update the first post to make that clearer.

Also, anyone who wants to play, reply here then PM your steam account name and I'll add you as a friend so we can eventually meet up. :sweet:

Is there no love for BFH?

 But seriously, is it more for the score or more for the teamwork? BFH is based off of teamwork and score is a bonus.

TF2 is definitely a team game when played properly, but naturally it's more of a hat simulator than anything and that's the part of the game that should never be overlooked. It's one reason I'm also lookin for former players who have items in their backpacks that they aren't using, I want them. :sweet:
