Solscud007 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) got these in the mail today, can anyone explain me what that is, i know its lightsaber but why did i get them this way Wow pretty cool. I dont know why you got them. But that is how they are aligned in the mold. Who sent it to you? TLG? Can I have it haha? Dont remove them from the sprue tree. In fact frame it in a shadow box. KimT Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 It's lightsabres If it's old grey, then this has gotten "lost" somewhere between the factory and the chroming company. I've bought myself a few of those already. So my guess is that you've bought this from someone who've worked at the chroming company that did the chroming for TLG at some point. The sabres aren't detached from the plastic frame until after the chroming process has been completed. Let me guess - you've bought them on qxl? Right? Quote
BrickArtist Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 These are probably from when TLG stopped manufacturing chrome hilts. I wonder if it also has to do with the transition from grey to bley. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 That's quite an interesting find, it's always nice to see Lego pieces in their 'unfinished' state. This one reminds me of the parts of Gundam models that I used to buy before, since the parts are packaged in that same way. But what I don't get is you ordered this not knowing what it will look like? Quote
Baylego Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 How weird! I have never seen the lightsabers like this before. Quote
KimT Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 This should really go in the Vader's Red Helmet topic. I'll move it there shortly. Quote
