mrlegoman Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I felt that I was actually at an airport! I love the covered drop off point, love the control tower, what an amazing creation. Well done! Quote
Legobrandon Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 This is absolutely beautiful. If only LEGO could release a set like this. I would actually pay $200+ for an airport like this. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The amount of detail in this airport is just astonishing. The overall design and layout of the whole thing really makes it seem much more realistic. The interior is great and the fact that you have made it accessible for people to play with it is just even better. The story is also just too funny. I really hope to maybe see this expanded. It would make it even more epic. Quote
Dakar A Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 This is literally the best Lego mairport I've ever seen, and the story was great as well. Could we get a lxf. file? Please? Quote
ETAV8R Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Pure amazement! Love the story, figs, and the moc is mindblowing. Quote
Faefrost Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 My mind is blown. A truly gorgeous. Diorama filled with such life and personality, all in the day to day setting of an airport. Bravo! That moc and story board deserves some sort of award. Quote
funkdis Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I'm speechless along with 100% of the posters here. I absolutely love the 6399 Airport Shuttle. A set I could only have dreamt about. Do you have any plans on perhaps transforming the 8404 public transport tram into monorail perhaps? or run both at the same time?. Quote
T00mm Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Gob smacked with the level of detail gone into this. Absolutely brilliant. Top work Quote
Michael S Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 Wow - thank you all for the awesome replies!! 8404 - I have that set and have looked at the monorail design but I'm confined to 4-wide on mine. There is 0-clearance between the edge of the train and the stations it rides thru. (this is for the safety of the minifigs). My monorails go thru a few other buildings as well, so it would be remodels everywhere if I bumped to 6-wide. Even on the trains - I'm limited to 8-wide cuz they go thru the World City Engine Shop, so I can't get too creative with 9- or 10-wide rolling stock. Expansion? There is still the Cargo Center expansion planned for some day. But current construction in town is focused on the triple towers of the Legoland Casino and Fun Center which is currently under construction. :-) I'm sure "Bill & Mary Bet the Farm" or similar will be forthcoming when it opens... :D Quote
Shushen Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 very well done. Amazing details. your style of presentation in the opening reminded me a lot of an old LEGO ideas leaflet/brochure thing i have laying around. It too followed two characters as they had a journey through various lego creations. Quote
SheepEater Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 This MOC is heroic My nephews would be glued to this creation for days! Quote
harton Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Again I think that what you've done is genius. The airport is complete, I like the bar, the luggage area, the walkway and I really appreciate that you add a top view, we can finally have an overall view. Well done. Quote
