New to the forum, thought I would introduce myself with a scene I'm working on in LDD. Its a small fishing port based loosely off of the Chestnut Neck Marina in New Jersey, USA. The brick built boats are my design, with swivel and tilt outboard motors, and a cabin on the larger boat. Still to come will be a few more boats, possibly a large trawler type, a restaurant/tackle shop, weigh in scale, and a forklift for lifting the boats into the water. I'll post some more shots of the boats themselves as I finish up the rest of the fleet.

An express type fishing boat with twin outboards.

A shot of the outboard motors and some interior details.

The port so far.

wow! I've never been big on boats, and harbors and what not because I can't control water or make it deep, but this is REALLY nice!!

I like it!

I assume you've used Universe mode? Do you have any plans to build it for real? And how have you done that hull?

I'm glad you like it, I'm really pleased with how this boat came out. I did use Universe mode as the hull pieces are not in the normal assortment. I don't have any plans to build it for real as I do not have the bricks. This is just for a bit of fun and creativity.

Next boat in the fleet. Based on a older Bertram Sportfisher. Still have to add the details like controls, outriggers, and the cabin furnishings.

Still need to figure out some ladders to get to the upper decks.

Not sure I love the color scheme yet, so that may change.

Sticking with the color scheme for now. Here is the final Bertram fully rigged and ready to fish.

Front really needed railings, not really happy with these, but its the best I can do at the moment. Inside you can see the controls, a chart table, sink, stove, and table.

Added the outriggers, back rigger, fishing poles, net, fighting chair, and some flags from the last successful catch. Added ladders to reach the upper decks and lighting for night fishing.

The harbor is starting to look busy. I still have plans for at least one more boat, maybe a Downeast style lobster boat.

Couldn't wait to design the lobster boat, so here it is.

Simple design, like the real thing. Interior and exterior controls, swinging crane to lift the traps with a winch, and a crate of lobsters.

This is looking really great, the different types of ships and boats add a lot to the busy feel of a real marina. It would look stunning and most definitely blow any official harbour set out of the water, if you'll ever get to build it in real bricks :cry_happy:

Great LDD MOCs! The boats are well designed and look good and realistic. Your port is talking shape very nicely.

Very well done. :classic:

Please could you send me the LXF file for just the harbour if you don't want me to have the rest. I am interested in adapting it for purchase. I would of course give you due credit if I were to show it anywhere.

I'll post it on here later tonight or tomorrow when I have a bit more time.

Nice MOC do you know what LDD would charge you to buy it?

He/she (sorry, I don't know) already said it's not buyable bricks
