Geki Brick Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yesterday, I took out some lego bricks that I haven't handled in a month. I poured them on my bed and began to MOC. That night as I slept on the same bed with the legos put back, I was itching all over my body. I felt like I was sleeping on tiny nails. Could it be that there were bed bugs in my month-old legos. Or am I just allergic to lego plastic?
Churchill Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Where were they stored? I wouldn't think they could live in the Lego alone. No food source. So either they're somewhere else, and not just the Lego, or it's not bed bugs! Hope you're alright.
Jargo Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Could be dust mites from the cardboard box the lego came in. It's not uncommon for cardboard boxes to contain the blighters. if it was bed bugs it would be their faeces that irritated you. not the bugs themselves. Dust mites I think are more irritating. Not sure if they bite flesh but if it's dust mites you probably have tiny red marks on your skin somewhere like mini bites. and they'll itch. Edited February 28, 2011 by Brickenhead-town-dweller
