CMP Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) This sounds great I want to play (plz). But what do you have to do? This might help. Edited March 4, 2011 by CallMePie
Weakbro Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Being vaguely new to Eurobricks (found it 2-3 months ago), I don't think that I've seen any mafia games before. This does sound very interesting, so i'd be totally excited to join!
Walter Kovacs Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 This might help. It might also help any of those that are completely unsure what a mafia game is like to read through one of the recent games. Werewolf Mafia only lasted 7 days, and it's an entertaining read, thanks to Hinck. Then again, with all of the applesauce flying around, it might not be the best one to read through.
WhiteFang Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Even though most of the regulars can't join, but I will be sure to watch out from the bench and root for the players! It will be fun to see new blood having an enjoyable exclusive time to make and learn from mistakes like never before! And, thanks to Sandy for putting this first Mafia School game altogether!
Brickdoctor Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Then again, with all of the applesauce flying around, it might not be the best one to read through. It was good motivation, though. Between Bloodbrick and Werewolf, I basically read through descriptions of all the advanced roles on MafiaWiki trying to figure out what was what.
RoryoCox Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 As the first game in this new school it looks really fantastic Sandy, I wish you Good Luck for the future. I also give Good Luck to the players and hope to see you in some other mafia games soon.
Rumble Strike Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Sand, sea. surf and sleeping with da fishes? Count this newbie in :sweet:
RileyC Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 More ladies in mafia = yes Definitely! I think men have had enough applesauce on their faces for now. Good to see so much interest! Im sure you will all make fine players. Time to watch noobs flailing around!
Ricecracker Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 It looks great, Sandy - I wish I could play! It might also help any of those that are completely unsure what a mafia game is like to read through one of the recent games. Werewolf Mafia only lasted 7 days, and it's an entertaining read, thanks to Hinck. I'd suggest reading through Bloodbrick as well, so that you can see both sides win.
Gregorovich Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I'm very keen to join, as I've never participated in a Mafia game before. They sound like really good fun !
XimenaPaulina Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Time to watch noobs flailing around! For a moment there I though you said "Time to watch noobs failing around" - which is always a possibility considering the abundance of inexperience this school mafia will have to deal with.
Pandora Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Time to watch noobs flailing around! We might not flail or fail! .... Although it is extremely likely we will...
def Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I think most will do decently. Everyone's new, so the lying scum will be just as challenged as the hunting town. But I think Pandora will be getting advice.... My advice to the town? Information is on a need to know basis. Beware of people fishing. Kieldaman is especially innocent at heart, so I worry that somebody will sell him a bridge over the course of the game.
Tamamono Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Well, I for one do not plan on flailing or failing. If nothing else, we'll be a cheap source of entertainment to the more experienced players.
Pandora Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 But I think Pandora will be getting advice.... Consider me metagamed Now if I die prematurely I will hold you responsible!
Rufus Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 But I think Pandora will be getting advice.... Are you kidding? She'll be advising me about playing the Forest!
def Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Consider me metagamed Now if I die prematurely I will hold you responsible! Are you kidding? She'll be advising me about playing the Forest! Exactly!
Pandora Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) Bugger. (sorry, not you def!) Edited March 5, 2011 by Pandora
Capt. Redblade Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I've been contemplating getting into Mafia for quite a while, and read through Werewolf Mafia and Bloodbrick's Asylum, but I've never actually participated in a game, so this might be just the kick in the butt I need! Sign me up!
RileyC Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 For a moment there I though you said "Time to watch noobs failing around" - which is always a possibility considering the abundance of inexperience this school mafia will have to deal with. haha well there's that too. Nah, seriously Im sure you guys will be fine!
Shadows Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Hello. My name is Shadeaux and I have never had the pleasure of playing the mafias before. If you could choose me, I would be very full of happiness. No neutrals, please.
XimenaPaulina Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Kieldaman is especially innocent at heart, so I worry that somebody will sell him a bridge over the course of the game. That's my worry too. We'll see how I'll be able to handle the scummy lyin' and cheatin' ways of the game (should I get in) and finally dispose off the innocent gullible nature in me.
Izzy Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I am very enthusiastic about learning to play, it seems that I am missing out on a lot of fun, and that just isn't right. (I have been reading through the Wiki links too) If you are willing to accept me, I'd love for you to teach me what you know Sandy dear!
Pandora Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Hello. My name is Shadeaux and I have never had the pleasure of playing the mafias before. If you could choose me, I would be very full of happiness. This guy sounds shifty, better lynch him on day one to be safe
Sandy Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 This guy sounds shifty, better lynch him on day one to be safe Better yet, let's lynch him right now. -------------- Vote: Shadeaux Vote Tally: Shadeaux: 1 Shadeaux has been convicted. "Shadeaux stood at the deck of the ferry, gazing at the beautiful Isla Paradisa looming ahead. This would surely be a vacation of a lifetime for him. Maybe he would even get a chance to talk to a woman that wasn't his mother for once! Suddenly he felt a forceful push on his back, and he fell over the railing. Not knowing how to swim, Shadeaux drowned in the crystal-clear waters of the South Pacific, and everybody forgot he had ever even been on the ferry." Shadeaux was revealed to be a Fraud. Now let's move on.
