Posted March 5, 201113 yr Just a gatehouse with some kind of postal office. It's my first moc since I was a child and my first time on eurobricks, so please be gentle. Thanks to this great site, my little cousin (age 29, but still and always "little") and bricklink I started building again. A wizard showing the town's greatest hero (his last fight was quite heroic, but he obviously failed) to some tourists from the south: Lunch is getting away! There's a lift for the guards. It takes them to their weaponry and to the top. Just another guard inside: If the enemy manages to break through past the drawbridge and the portcullis, you can throw rocks down from here or pour boiling water onto him. Or just take a whiz. In this town people use to stuff beaten enemies and display them in their armor at the gate. Not very kind or hospitable, but it keeps the next suckers away. A stranger from the eastern realms is just leaving town in his amphibian vehicle: The interior: (Just noticed, there's a tile missing...) And how the birds see it: I hope I did better in building than in photography. Edited May 22, 201113 yr by Rufus Indexed

March 5, 201113 yr Excellent build Bernd! A very lively scene with great use of colors and of course phenomenal minifigure choices! I like that diverse use of techniques and textures all over.
March 5, 201113 yr Great work. It's always nice to see a new builder in the community. For your first effort in many years, this really is quite impressive. The removable walls are a nice feature and the gatehouse interior is nicely detailed. You've really crammed a lot of detail onto one 32 x 32 baseplate. I really look forward to seeing what you'll accomplish in the next few builds. Welcome to Eurobricks.
March 5, 201113 yr Incredible the gatehouse has nice details. And a nice variety of civilian minifigs. Is that Hagrid's beard on one of the minifigs?
March 5, 201113 yr Beautiful gatehouse. I love how you made it so that you could open it up. Lots of nice details to look at.
March 5, 201113 yr Is that Hagrid's beard on one of the minifigs? I think at thats from the MS1 The cavemans beard instead of Hagrids It suits on him gretaly by the way. Captain Becker Edited March 5, 201113 yr by Captain Becker
March 5, 201113 yr Nice one! I like all the details and the fact that you devoted a lot of attention to the interior. Good job!
March 5, 201113 yr This is an excellent first MOC to post, lots of great details and a clean build. You have created some great minifig characters, and they really bring it into life . I like the way you have thought out the defense with the twin gates, and the balcony which serves as a large 'murder hole'. The steampunk 'boat on wheels' leaving is a bit too much for me, but maybe I don't have enough imagination! As for the photography, I think it shows the MOC perfectly. The only thing you could have done is hidden the background with card or paper.
March 5, 201113 yr Now that's what I call an introduction.....AWESOME MOC 'Bernd' and welcome to EB as well, hope to see even more creations like this....such detail and action involved there - again I'll say AWESOME ! Brick On 'Bernd' !
March 5, 201113 yr This is indeed a top-notch MOC, and a great way to introduce yourself to the forum. Welcome! Your creation is filled with details and playability. The innovative and original aspects make this structure very interesting to look at. Great work, I hope to see more from you!
March 6, 201113 yr Great job on your introductory MOC to EB Bernd! That's indeed a very good-looking gatehouse with interesting details and spruced up with the busy daily village scenes. Thanks for sharing this and welcome once again to the forums!
March 6, 201113 yr Fantastic MOC! All the detail is lovely. I like how the whole thing is tiled - sometimes this can be a bad thing, but here it definitely isn't. Awesome creation! Keep up the great work!
March 6, 201113 yr Great job, Bernd! All the little details hidden in here are fantastic, and I love the working lift. Very nice introductory MOC. On that note, even if you're not so new here, welcome to EB.
March 6, 201113 yr Lovely creation Bernd! I love all the working elements, especially the lift. The steampunk boat was a nice (and unexpected!) touch too.
March 6, 201113 yr Thanks! The creation is very good, the details are very nice! I love the lift and that little statue is very good! Good work!
March 6, 201113 yr Author That's a nice welcome. Thanks to everyone. The wig with the beard ist the caveman's. One reason to pick up more than one caveman. A neutral background would have been better indeed. Next time.
March 6, 201113 yr The details are amazing, and so many humorous things going on. I like that odd vehicle thing too.
March 6, 201113 yr Your First Moc This is fantastic, wonderful idea and great layout, I love the interiour and all the characters. Truly Brillaint
March 6, 201113 yr Awesome! The gate looks great and the shcolar is cool. Love the village scene and the statue is epic!
March 6, 201113 yr A really nice creation. Love all the smoothness of the ground etc, the modularity makes it nice and accessible, and the action flows really well. Probably the only thing I would suggest is to digitally remove the background or use carboard/posterboard to make the MOC sit alone. Great job nonetheless.
March 7, 201113 yr Wow, that is awesome, if the D2C contest had Kingdoms this would definately get my vote My favourite parts are the lift and the amphibious vehicle, I also like the stuffed enemies aswell nice touch. This is a very good well designed moc with plenty of features to keep anyone busy for a while Super duper, well done!
