Peanuts Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I do. Can you PotatoMessage me, I promise I won't tell Quarry...oh. Well, will you tell anyway?
def Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Can you PotatoMessage me, I promise I won't tell Quarry...oh. Well, will you tell anyway? It's a bluff. Don't believe him. Vote: Quarryman
Tamamono Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Captain Tamamono seems to still be playing! lol, I love how you changed your sig. Yep, I saw that people in the more advanced mafia games change their sigs to, "Died as this person" after they got killed/convicted, so I figured that it might be a good idea. I'm just going to lurk around the Discussion thread and follow the game until it's over. Btw, does anyone know what Quarry's game will be like? I do. Good. BTW, is that game going to be a "Mafia School" or an advanced game?
Dan the Brickman Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I thought I've told you guys everything there is to know about the mechanics by now. If you want more tutorials, then by all means say so. But aside from pointing out who to vote for and who has what night actions, I don't know what else I can say or do anymore. I think you have done enough. For some of us, its not...game mechanics we are unsure of, its just a new type of experience or game, that we are not used to. There is a sense of uncertainty of how the game is going, which, I suppose is natural. To put it simply, we are a bunch of noobs who have never done this before.

But aside from pointing out who to vote for and who has what night actions, I don't know what else I can say or do anymore. This is the game in it's simplest form, so there's no surprise mechanics coming up later that you need to take into account. Maybe the future Mafia School games need a few more roles in them to make them more random... Sorry, I guess I didn't say it the way I thought I did. I'm not criticizing the game - in fact, I think it's the perfect way to teach Mafia. I was just saying what I thought the game was like, didn't mean it in a bad way.
Sandy Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 There is a sense of uncertainty of how the game is going, which, I suppose is natural. But you are doing fantastic, all of you! The game is running very smoothly, and I've seen some clever tactics being used to both expose the scum and remain hidden from the townies. Keep it up, and the uncertainty will surely fade.
Peanuts Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 BTW, is that game going to be a "Mafia School" or an advanced game? No, the actual mafia school game is just an experiment, as I understand it, and there will be further ones once it proves to be a good way to learn the basics of EB mafia games. Or at least that's how I interpreted it. But yet there's no other mafia school game announced but this one.

Mafia School really has been a success so far, with the exception of there no being enough night actions. I wonder what the theme for Quarryman's game will be?
Brickdoctor Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I wonder what the theme for Quarryman's game will be? Rock Raiders or Power Miners sounds fitting...
Tamamono Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Rock Raiders or Power Miners sounds fitting... I'll certainly be signing up for that one!
Brickdoctor Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I'll certainly be signing up for that one! You know that was a joke, right? I have no clue what it'll be based on.
Izzy Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Rock Raiders or Power Miners sounds fitting... Not even close! Are you metagaming based on His name?
Tamamono Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Not even close! Are you metagaming based on His name? Vote: Brickdoctor Metagamer!
smittyfan Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 It's definitely been a fun game! although much different from the simpler group games I've played. It's a little bit tougher on a forum, but also more exciting at the same time!
Quarryman Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 BTW, is that game going to be a "Mafia School" or an advanced game? The one I'm listed with in the main index is, quite naturally, an advanced game. I wonder what the theme for Quarryman's game will be? Keep wondering, you'll know soon enough Rock Raiders or Power Miners sounds fitting... As Iz said, not even close. Not sure if either of those settings would be any fun to be honest. Not even close! Sssh! Don't tell them anything!
def Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Power Minors Mafia I'm sure it could be done, but, like human cloning, just because we can do it, doesn't mean we should
Sandy Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 Ha, I was prepared this time! Day Three has ended, and the conclusion is up right away for once. It's time to send those night actions again!
Tamamono Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Ha, I was prepared this time! Day Three has ended, and the conclusion is up right away for once. It's time to send those night actions again! Nice conclusion, Sandy. I really like the glowing effect you used for the campfire. Let's see, first a knife, then a wrench, and now an axe; I'm guessing either a crowbar or a pickaxe next?
Gregorovich Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Nice ending, Sandy. I'm already looking forward to day 4!
Sandy Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 Let's see, first a knife, then a wrench, and now an axe; I'm guessing either a crowbar or a pickaxe next? Let's just say Mr. Crusoe isn't running out of tools anytime soon.

Let's see, first a knife, then a wrench, and now an axe; I'm guessing either a crowbar or a pickaxe next? Don't forget that even a screwdriver could become a lethal weapon in the hands of the angry, love-forsaken, Mr Crusoe. Brilliant Sandy! Just brilliant!!
Brickdoctor Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Don't forget that even a screwdriver could become a lethal weapon in the hands of the angry, love-forsaken, Mr Crusoe. What about that banana? I wanna see a torture-by-banana scene!
smittyfan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 What about that banana? I wanna see a torture-by-banana scene! That would be so AWESOME!!
Tamamono Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 What about that banana? I wanna see a torture-by-banana scene! No! Mr. Crusoe, have mercy! It's too delicious and high in potassium! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
smittyfan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 No! Mr. Crusoe, have mercy! It's too delicious and high in potassium! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Just add some chloride, and you have a recipe for a lethal injection...
