Posted March 8, 201114 yr Yes, a modular building (no, not the next official one) that's even more yellow than toorayay's great Park West Building that he posted a couple of days ago. Edit: If you can't see any images here, it means that MOCpages is down once again โ that's why I now uploaded them to Flickr, too. And I think the color combination works quite well. As you can see, I used parts and ideas from the Atlantis temple and the Bank and Money Transfer set. Featuring a rich interior including basement: And there's a thief underground, so the police have arrived on the scene: A scene that includes the Fire Brigade and some brick-built street: ยป More pictures and text on MOCpages! March 8, 201114 yr That's a cool combination of two LEGO sets (+extras). And complete with interior. You als got a nice detail with those sewers.
March 8, 201114 yr This is incredible, you really pulled it together well and managed to fit a modern bank into an older building! The attention to detail is awesome!
March 8, 201114 yr That's awesome, great combination! I always thought about those column pieces, was thinking a gallery/library/museum or something. I love all the detail in this busy bank Did you think about some bars or 'bullet proof' glass for the counters? I'm not sure if you mentioned it on MOCpages it's not loading for me
March 8, 201114 yr AWESOME fusion job there 'cimddwc', different themes into a modular....now that's building with the true spirit of Lego ! Your's might be the first of a few banks I've just have this feeling....! Beautiful interior and excellent detailing, it surely has the Victorian era feel to it ! Keep them comming 'cimddwc' and Brick On !
March 8, 201114 yr Wow, great work! I love how you incorporated elements from the Bank set, but ending up with a totally different look. Well done.
March 8, 201114 yr I hope someone at LEGO is looking at this building because not only is it a GREAT modular building it also fits SOOOO WELL with the other Modular Building. I would buy this with out hesitation hands down! great GREAT job!!!
March 8, 201114 yr Author Thanks everyone! I love the ATM. That's from the 3661 set, not my design. :) Did you think about some bars or 'bullet proof' glass for the counters? Yes, I thought about that, but banks nowadays โ at least those I know around here in Germany โ usually have open counters, so mine are open, too.
March 8, 201114 yr Love the colour. Reminds me of ASB Bank's in New Zealand who use bright yellow as their corporate colour.
March 9, 201114 yr Very impressive modular bank! I love the use of the atlantis pillars in the front, though I think it could do without that circular logo thing. The interiors are fantastic, with very interesting details and a lively busy scene inside. This bank goes rather well side-by-side with the fire-station. Great job cimddwc!
March 9, 201114 yr Great bank MOC cimddwc Looks like it fits in great with the Lego modulars. Very nice details inside and out. Keep up the great work
March 9, 201114 yr The basement idea is great :) Really love it. And the interior details are great. I also like borrowing ideas for my MOCs from official sets, but you have done very good job with the atlantis set and city bank - really seamless integration.
March 9, 201114 yr Nice MOC, I need to start building modular (as a 32x32 building will fit better in parts of our layout than a 48x48)
March 9, 201114 yr That's an amazing MOC. There's certainly a good use of Atlantis elements. I've been working on my own Modular bank based on this set, it's half the size and not quite as grand.
March 9, 201114 yr Fantastic! The interior and exterior look amazing, as they are so jam-packed with excellent details. However, I would say to take off the Atlantis key, as it just doesn't fit in very well. Well done, and thanks for sharing this amazing creation with us!
March 9, 201114 yr That is really good! It's nice too see a classic style for this bank. This is the exlusive kind of place I would like to work in!
March 11, 201114 yr Fantastic MOC! I can't wait to get my hands on that bank set... and the atlantis sets with those awesome columns.
March 11, 201114 yr Author Again, thanks everyone! About the round Atlantis thing, well, it may not be the perfect decoration especially when viewed from the side, but I need something there (and not yet another fish), and I like it enough to keep it. :)
March 11, 201114 yr Again, thanks everyone! About the round Atlantis thing, well, it may not be the perfect decoration especially when viewed from the side, but I need something there (and not yet another fish), and I like it enough to keep it. :) Perhaps a clock?
March 11, 201114 yr Author Perhaps a clock? Hmm... the generic 2x2 round clock is too small, too simple. Maybe with some stuff around it... or some custom clock. Might be worth a try.
March 13, 201113 yr Finally I got around to commenting on this one, and it sure is a beauty, cimddwc! The colours go very well together, like they do in the official bank set, and the whole building is really a grand piece of work, crammed with details as it is. I'm currently working on a modular bank myself, which is somewhat similar, architectonically (as long as you work with those white Atlantis pillars it's bound to be similar), and I toyed with the idea of a basement. I decided against it, but seeing yours makes me wonder if I made the wrong choice. It's really nice, anyway. Great job.
