arlutik Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Well just did a bunch of MOCs for the JRCII contest, here's my favorite more here: flickr Hope you enjoy Quote
Scorpiox Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Nice! I like the use of certaing pieces, interesting... Quote
Big Cam Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 That is really cool, I literally just watched the third movie yesterday and the mini model is quite accurate, the bottle is very clever as well. Quote
Skalldyr Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Wow, just wow! That bottle is amazing as is the whole idea. And the level of detail on the ship is enormous! It really have to be blogged! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]...soon Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 It really have to be blogged! You beat me to it Well, that means it's indeed a good MOC. Your bottle design is excellent. I'd like to see more/different types of ships in a bottle like this. How about a POTC ship-in-bottle series? Nice job anyway. Quote
arlutik Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 The bottle was the first thing I had to do, then it was the pain of designing a ship that would fit in it :) I'm planning a smaller bottle with a smaller ship (don't know which one yet) but first I have two MOCs to finish for the contetst Quote
lt.Gonville brickhead Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 This moc iss very clever with a great range of pieces and the ship is very accurate. Quote
Cherno Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Very cool idea to use those transparent blue parts for a bottle. You obviously have thought of every detail, like the cork cap, the chain and the support under the bottle. The Black Pearl is, for it's small size, pretty recognizable as well. A nice example of pirate-themed MOCs that are not based on normal ships or buildings. Quote
Capt. Stabbin Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Excellent job! Welcome to the forums, and good luck in the contest! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 That is one of the more creative MOC I've seen. The design of the ship is great for being at such a small scale, and the bottle looks perfect as well. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Great Idea you had there, actually ingenious. Quote
Niku Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 First time i see something like this. Im really impressed. Good job. Quote
Brick Tamland Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 This is great! I'd buy this as a set if they sold it. Quote
Zepher Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 This is an awesome idea that was extremely well executed! The sails in particular look good. I think that there could have been more chains on the bottle perhaps, the one chain is distracting. I also don't love the bottle cap. But, of course overall it is fantastic! I love it. I'm a conformist! dude. Quote
Tazmaniac Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I wonder how many of you just slapped yourselves around the face muttering "why didn't I think of that"? Great concept and pull off brilliantly! Quote
Captain Becker Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Nice! I love the desing of the mini Pearl, its very recognizible and the bottle is also very clever desing. Great job whit this Thanks for sharing. Captain Becker Quote
Corioso Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Ooh!! It`s a very original idea! But I think, that the masts are too short. Great job! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Ooh!! It`s a very original idea! But I think, that the masts are too short. Great job! I don't think so. If he'd made them taller they wouldn't fit in the bottle Quote
Corioso Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I don't think so. If he'd made them taller they wouldn't fit in the bottle Yes, but he could have made the hull thinner. Quote
brickmack Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Nice (Both the ship and the bottle). Lots of great detail on the Black Pearl. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Very intersting and creative concept; and well-executed too! Quote
Admiral of the Red Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 fantastic! my favorite part is the brown arches for the base, for some weird reason Quote
PhantomX Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Amazing, I love it, so many good uses of pieces. Quote
Delta 38 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Great! The blue looks a bit strange though. A clear bottle would be nice, but if those pieces aren't available, then blue is okay. Still, very nice. It'd be great to have on display. Quote
