I was just in the Lego Store Oberhausen, they also told me that as of next week (May 10th) the 10218 will be on sale!

I was just in the LEGO store in Copenhagen, and the store manager tolled me that they will have for sale the 10th of may, so I am pretty sure that is when the "world release" will be.

That is good news Morten! Right now it would almost be to spoil the fun if we had a picture of the set... :)

KimT and I are driving to Gotherbourg the 13th of may, and we can bring stuff to gothenbourg from the LEGOstore like the new pet shop if any-one is interested? Off-course it is only interesting for swedish AFOLs if there is money to save. I don´t know the price yet.

Good to know! Nice option! Since I live on the west coast (Höganäs, just north of Helsingborg) it might be a perfect thing.:classic: -dB

I totally agree. I've just decided that I won't look for pictures of this set until it is released.

Lego did such a good job at keeping this a secret that I don't want to spoil the surprise now.

I'll order fom Lego Shop at Home as soon as they have it in stock.

Fantastic news Morten, thanks! It seems that the time is near.

^^Feel free to do so

I saw on Toys N Bricks that this has been found at retail. I'm shocked that it's managed to get out to stores without even one picture breaking already....

If that's true then we'll probably see pictures within the next day or so. :look:

I just called my local LEGO store (I'm in the U.S.), and they said that it will be out on the 10th.

Then he better post a pic soon!

Is it a bad thing that when I saw that you were the latest commenter in this topic, I immediately began expecting pictures to have emerged?

I'm looking forward to pics as much as anyone, and hope it lives up to our expectations!

If those roof pieces are dark red, people should have an easier time making Cafe Corner via Bricklink (and not have to order them from Norway like some impatient people). I am excited to see the interiors, the back makes it look like it will be quite filled out.

Grogall, you're a saint! And thanks also to Edward Slade for posting the first link.

This certainly lives up to my expectations! There seems to be a lot of fantastic interior details, including what I believe to be the first ever official toilet. There's a lot of lovely recoloured moulds, including an orange fish. The techniques are also clever, like the flag used as a paint smear. I love the colouring on the townhouse, too. I can't wait to see more photos of this stunning set.

Thanks again for the pictures!

Do i see light yellow bricks????

That's what it looks like to me, but I could be wrong. It seems also that there might be light yellow tiles on the inside?

Overall I love the colors of this set (sand blue!!) and will be picking this up as soon as I can. :cry_happy:

I am a member here as well, :sweet: just hadn't had time to get the pictures posted over here yet. Got this today at the Lego store in Oklahoma City, OK. My flickr account has the new pictures that are posted here.

I will have some pictures of the new Cars sets later on as well, I just received 5 of the sets from that theme as well. :sweet:

Got to go pick my son up from school, he has been dying for the new Cars sets.
