These will probably look even better when you split them apart and put one on each side of the green grocer.

I like the fish tank idea. Whomever would have thought of that?!

I am so looking forward to this modular set! Never thought I could see 2 different buildings being lined up side by side to form a nice impression.

Looks like fun. I can't wait to pick this one up. The house on the left looks a little narrow, but not terribly so.

Very nice, this modular pet shop looks really good, not as grand as the other previous modular buildings but it certainly makes up for a good addition to any modular building street. Oh, and is that a new paint roller piece? :sweet:

These two houses are a little bit shorter than the rest. I think, when mixed in all together with the others, it will add some nice variety to a town layout. Side-by-side they kind of run together.

I'm working on completing a Cafe Corner right now too, only two of the dark red slopes are included in the set, but at least the part is not discontinued.

For those interested, I made some scans of the parts list from the manual, and uploaded them to my photobucket account. Images are page 1 page 2 and page 3

This looks great!

I wonder what the official name will be (as 'Pet Shop' would only be describing half of the set).

I can't wait to pick it up!

Green groccer looks better than 10218.

Yeah, I agree. This is the first time I've felt some genuine disappointment with a modular set. The concept is great, some of the design elements are very nice, but it doesn't have the wow factor of the others at all. Still, it's a very impressive set. Just...something missing I guess.

Not off the list of "must have" by any means though. :)

No, I believe it's just a lot of NPU; it looks to me like it is made out of a pole, a minifigure neck bracket part, and then the technic cylinder attached to the neck bracket with another technic part.

Finally! Thank you for finding/posting pics! This looks great! To those who MODed this, you nailed it, for guessing! This set looks spectacular, can't wait until I recover from the Maersk! :sweet:

My initial impression is that it looks pretty good. To be honest, when I first saw the FB and GE sets I didn't really like them, but, once I owned them and put them together I grew to love them. With this set, I definitely like it more than I had initially liked the two previously mentioned sets.

My only criticism at this stage is that the buildings look a little "busy". There seems to be a lot of detail on the facades, maybe a little too much. I actually liked cottonwood's mock-up for this reason (less detail on the front).

Saying that, I will be buying as soon as it comes available on Shop@Home next week!!!

I have just finished building a 16 stud wide Apple store MOC, so this set will work out well for me - pet shop next to the Apple store and the GE (retail district), and the house section next to the GG (similar architecture so it should look great) and the CC!!!

I'm not particularly fond of modular buildings as they're way out of my price range, but this is quite nice.

I was expecting some new animal moulds, though. The new orange fish is useful, but that seems to be the only new animal piece.

I'm not really sure what to think about this one yet - it looks like something you would randomly see while browsing Brickshelf as opposed to an official modular in some ways, not that that is necessarily a bad thing. I will of course buy it as soon as I see it, and I am extremely happy to see another 16 wide set (times 2). Pictures never do these things justice, but the modular line still peaked at the Green Grocer for me stylistically.

10218 isn't too shabby but I find myself feeling a bit underwhelmed by the design. While there isn't anything inherently wrong with the design, it all feels like something we've seen before. So much of what's shown seems like a rehash of the Green Grocer and the Cafe Corner. I honestly think that these would have been more interesting if they were sold as stand-alone sets as the size of the buildings is the most interesting element here. Despite my (slight) disappointment, I'm looking forward to grabbing a copy of this set when the LEGO store near my home opens in a few weeks.

I think it looks great, but I haven't been a part of the long wait and the hype that's built around this set, so maybe more was expected. I think the buildings are nicely detailed, the interiors look great, and it's a very decent parts pack (the goldfish alone almost makes this worth the purchase ). I don't know if I'll be getting it, but it looks lovely nonetheless.

On a side note, as I have already mentioned, I love the goldfish! I am so pleased Lego are further developing this piece - first grey, then sand green, now orange! Definitely my favorite 'accessory' element.

So here my thoughts after the great surprise of finally getting a picture.

• I think that the Pet Shop will fit in well with the other building in the series.

• the interior detail of both building as well as the back are great.

• the colour's used are a nice addition.

• the detailing of the sidewalk is a little bland, this is one of my favorite things about the modular''s, the pet shops sidewalk has almost the same detailing as Green Grocer.

• I will probably place the two building to the left and right side of green grocer, colour wise RGB.

• I have no gripes with the different hight's of the building, after all most street's from the 20th and 30th in the US are this way. See pic below!

• I wander if Jamie Berard is the designer? Hope they make a video to tell us more about the set.

• Alll though it's a great set, I still like Café Corner, then Green Grocer, Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Fire Brigade in that order. Sorry didn't get Market street, because (I) still don't think it's part of the series.

• And finally can't wait to get this set on tuesday, good job to TLG for keeping it so secret for so long!
