puddleglum Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I wouldn't put too much money on that bet if I where you. It is defiantly a roller, not a brush. It may be brick build with one of these, but I think it is a new piece. EDIT: It may be this piece with something on the end. The roller looked smaller though. Wouldn't a 1x1 round brick make sense? BrickUpdate Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 This set sounds really exciting - I think including 2 buildings in the set will add to the play value, and a greater variety of ways to display one's various modular buildings. I expected a police station or hospital, since they are such classic LEGO themes. Glad to see them going in a different direction. Thanks for all the info! Quote
LegoFan03 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Two buildings together? Awesome! It will give us more buildings for our modular building collections! :) I'm very looking forward to see the pictures. Can't wait! Quote
legolegolegolego Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Is it thought to be two buildings side-by-side or two buildings with one facing front and one facing rear on a 16x32 base? - Michael Quote
Follows Closely Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Is it thought to be two buildings side-by-side or two buildings with one facing front and one facing rear on a 16x32 base? - Michael Two 16x32 plates with a building on each. The box front has the townhouse on the left and the pet shop on the right, side by side. As for facing rear, you can do what ever you want as they are totally independent structures. Quote
legolegolegolego Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Thank you very much for the information. Lucky you to have had a sneak peek. - Michael Quote
thewatchman Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 any chance of a leaked photo? the wait is now killing me, i have to see this new creation!! Quote
TypoCorrecto Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Looks like Green Grocer will have two friends by its sides...Can't wait!... Quote
Paul Lanski Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 It's time I actually 'saw' something... Curiosity is eating me up! Quote
Tamamono Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Oh wow... thanks for the info grogall and Follows Closely! I'm not sure how I feel about it being two buildings on 16x32 plates, but it's about time LEGO made a pet shop. I can't wait for pictures to be leaked! Follows Closely, did you happen to notice if the pet shop uses all three floors, or if one of them is a loft for the store owners to live in? Quote
Younge Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I like the idea of two 16x32 buildings. I currently have two of those already - I use only the 3 storey building from the Market Street set, and I have also built a 3 storey apartment building (was originally a fire station, but I changed the ground floor after the Fire Brigade set came out). So, my little town is going to have a great mix of large/wide and narrow/tall buildings... once I actually put it all together!!! Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Consider this....maybe the pet shop owner lives next door and is getting his townhouse painted. I wonder as well, how tall is the pet shop ? Agreement is across the board.....we need pictures real bad ! Till then.....keep on waiting ! Quote
streifen Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I wonder as well, how tall is the pet shop ? My thought: the pet shop will be 1 floor only. the above is for other uses. because having 3 floors of pet shop means the animal count may be quite high as we cannot have a dog on 1st flr, a cat on 2nd flr and a snake on 3rd floor. Quote
puddleglum Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 My thought: the pet shop will be 1 floor only. the above is for other uses. because having 3 floors of pet shop means the animal count may be quite high as we cannot have a dog on 1st flr, a cat on 2nd flr and a snake on 3rd floor. There is also the mouse, the new dog mold, parrot, frog, and spider. Plenty of stuff to fill multiple floors even without new animal molds, so I think it could go either way. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 We need a proper Lego turtle. The end. Quote
CptMugwash Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I thought about the floors of the petshop, I thought the ground floor would have pets, the first could be treats and toys like the small bone piece etc. the top floor could be for the pet owner where they live, maybe? The house next door could be a properly furnished house, kitchen and lounge area downstairs, first floor bedroom and bathroom and top floor attic area with telescope or something? That's the idea in my head Quote
Gregorovich Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 We need a proper Lego turtle. The end. I can't remember where I saw it, but someone made a brilliant turtle out of an army helmet. I hope that only one floor is a petshop. That way the room will look less bare and we can get more furnishings on the other floors. I hope that in the townhouse there is lots of useful furniture, including a bed, a toilet, a sink and a wardrobe. Quote
nesquik Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Would this be the Petshop & House by any chance? Edited March 21, 2011 by tom-cat Quote
Gregorovich Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Thanks for that picture, tom-cat. I don't know if that's the petshop, because the building look really thin and they seem to be joined at the back. They do look nice though, and fit in with the rest of the street. Where did you get the photo? Quote
TypoCorrecto Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I think thats a MOC: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=26671 Quote
