Awesome! I can't wat to see the finished product. So much detail in thuis build, the camp.. the trees.. and now the Blacksmith. Keep on brickin'!

So now that you've added so much to it, may we see some shots of the whole MOC?

It's getting so much more epic. I'm extremely jealous of the people who have the money and time to do something like this. + infinity man points to you.

Holy Hell! Thats a mighty large setup you've got going on! Looks Bang Tidy so far, what else is going in?

This is a truly amazing project. I just found it today, and wow, just wow. There is so much to take in, and seeing the build helps me to really appreciate it. I may be distracted by all your beautiful structures and not see how awesome the landscape itself was if I didn't get to see it built. I love the cliffs, and I love the river flow, it looks really realistic. I really don't know how I could ever hit on everything I love, so I won't try. This is a simply amazing off the charts awesome build and I am super impressed.

Where'd you go? You better not be slacking on us...

Everytime someone ask for an update, anything new to show is done.

Not this time :cry_sad:

Last week was an awful week for me. We went 450 km away from home on assembly.

I started the tavern before this but only half of the basementwall is done and this isn´t good enough for a picture, sorry.

The good news is, that the next three weeks (beginning on this next weekend) are holiday.

That should push all this a little bit.

I do my best :sweet:

Oh well that is a shame that you haven't done much but i'm sure that the part you have done is great looking forward to another update.

Are you sure this is not just plain bumping? :hmpf_bad:

Once maydayartist has an update he is more then willing to show it I think, so he will bump his own thread.

That´s right, but I can understand him

The work at the tavern is far more difficult and more protracted than expected.

And it is not simple for an preview shot without showing the main special on that building.

This is for the end and I will show it on the end :classic:

Here are two shots from the inside. Not very much to see but you can suggest what´s on the outside.

I try to finish it in the near future.

I've been watching this thread for a while now and finally decided to post. All I can say is: WOW  ! It's simply amazing! All the those tiny details you put in... Your creation really looks 'alive'. Can't wait to see this beast finished! I have a question (maybe it has been asked before): did you have all these bricks lying around or did you order them specifically for this?

... I have a question (maybe it has been asked before): did you have all these bricks lying around or did you ordered them specifically for this?

This is a good question and if I´m right it has been asked before.

No problem.

I have done my first and only BL order two weeks ago and most of this will shown at the end of all, so all the parts I have worked with "lie around" :sweet:

Many of my Lego is out of used or new (not so many) sets and all of them are from ebay, except a few sets from local stores and my local Lego store when they have special offers.

The rest are kilogramm auctions from ebay with uncomlete sets and a few of them are special sells with only gray, green, brown, tan or plant parts.

I can´t stop it

Every bargain is a must have for me (not really so bad but it is not normal). Some people call me addicted. But that´s my only vice, so I can live with it

Now most of the must haves are bought and only new sets and special orders for this build are necessary.

In my opinion is it nice to see what is possible with my amount of Lego without special orders (the one not counting)

And btw: The modular houses are even not integrated in this (a few parts from one of the CC, ok). I don´t want to mix them with the old parts.

Wow, that's incredible :oh: . I can only imagine how great it is to build with so many parts ready at your disposal. Each time I ever want to build a big MOC, I either have to make a lot Bricklink Orders to complete it (and living in Belgium doesn't make things easier, I have to order my parts from all over the world, since we don't have those huge Bricklink stores like in the US or maybe even Germany), OR I simply have to take my MOC down again due to lack of parts or money to buy parts :cry_sad: .

Well... this can be a sword with two blades, or a coin with two sides, I don't know which metaphor is right, but:

The more bricks you have, the more you need

If you buy 10.000 1x2 bricks, you will want at least 1000 1x1 brick of the same color, more arches, more everything!

And you start building bigger, immediately you ran out of some things that you never considered, like plates, 1x1 and 1x2

The point of lego is, I think, to build the best with what you have, if something is missing, to find a way around it

I always use almost every single part in my mocs, the only thing that stays unused are wheels and wedges:)

I could not wait for bricklink order to arrive to finish something :)

This MOC is incredible! I just stumbled across this thread and read through it all. It's amazing to see the landscaping being built up bit by bit. I wish I had the skill and the amount of bricks to be able to create something like this. Thanks so much for sharing your creation and techniques!

I absolutely love this it has so many details, I want it, the way you added the characters is really nice too, I still want it, and the buildings complete it. I can see stories waiting to be told it's really cool, oh and I want it

Ok now, after a very long day of working on my tavern I can´t not longer wait to present it to you.

The chimney on the backside is not done yet, but for a beautiful view of the front we don´t need him.

It was really much of testing and changing, but after all I have to say for myself, this is the best house I ever made.

The big angle in the middle was a special challenge, but there was never a point to cancel this and now it´s almost done.

And I enjoy the result.

This is a pre version with the green around. I will make better photos when it is all done properly insinde my landscape.

A few little details were inspired by Derfel Cardarn (with his ok  ) Thanks for that!

I hope you enjoy it too :sweet:

I try to make all realistic in this build so the shutters can shut completely ...

... and the entrance to the wine cellar can be opened.

good night
