My first thought after seeing the whole thing was HOLY ****!!! I've seen some impressive lego displays, but I have never seen something that large with that level of detail and imagination. It is a work of art and I want to thank you for taking pictures and giving me the opportunity to glimpse it.

This is just freaking amazing. I would love to do something like this. But I'd never find the room for it. I think the entire build is bigger than my apartment. Excellent work mayday.

Excellent updates. The whole build is wonderful.

Approximately how many bricks have you used?

Only nitpick I have is the stain glass windows in the gatehouse, seems arrow slits would be more appropriate there.

You don't have a Flickr do you? I'd love to see a pic or two there so I could favorite them :classic:

Yes you are right. That is not really a good defense construction, but I have to say sorry for myself but I couldn't wait to present you my new technique for the X design shutters and the tower was the first I have build.

Maybe I make one next week. I am very busy for this weekend. Maybe I can tell you more later.

I'm sorry if this was asked earlier but where in the world did you get all those parts?!

I am a member of a famous german LUG since one year. We manage the biggest german convention in November 2012 and with such a LUG you can organize something a little better.

But most of them are ebay purchases.

Some questions. How did you do the roof to the round tower and how is it attched to the tower? The windows with dk gray tiles around them, how are they made?

The roof was really tricky. The problem was the little place of only 14 by 14 in octagonal. And my wish to do this with two different angles.

The upper part is done wit only plates and tiles. The lower has wedges in addition.

And the attachment isn't done ;) It lies only on the wall with an extra protection not to slip off. I have to decompose many parts of my castle to let it fit in my transport box.

I can do pictures of the complete decompose castle later. I think this will be funny to see.

The windwo was a little funny story. I want to use the typical castle window 30044.gifwith tiles around them, but all version does not fit my mind.

So I have done it without this part and add the fence with trans yellow plates.

I have made a little construction manual for the window. Hope you can recognize all:

I'm just going to sit and watch page 26 for a long while. Just saved it. Huge

Thanks for whoever put the "BIG UPDATE" sign on the title. :classic:

That was 'Z' I have asked him to do this.

Approximately how many bricks have you used?

All around? I don't have any idea.

But a little example.

I have ordered 2000 headlights in light bluish gray and now I have about 150 left ;)

Everybody's reactions show how beautiful this is. I never exected this to become as large as it is right now and while I enjoyed the pictures from the first chapters, the castle exceded my expectations of what a Lego castle could look like. The diorama could almost be real. Congratulations with your masterpiece, please don't stop building.

I have to say when I started following this quite a long time ago I thought it was too ambitous and would never be completed but you did an amazing job!!1 Best castle diorama on this site.

There's just so much to look at and so many details to take in ! You have truly done an amazing work on this. A true masterpiece! I just love how real everything looks. The angles, the colors, the way you shaped the rocks, ... I can't really describe it, it's all just so amazing  . Great job, really outstanding !

It looks amazing, I am just new here, so I couldn't post about it before, but this, this is amazing. I wish I could make a moc like that. Do you know how many pieces it has? More than 30.000? And how many minifigures does it have?
