oo7 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 EB NEWS FLASH: Hello, I'm oo7 and we here at The EB News Desk we have a breaking report this evening, it appears that the lego picture hosting website located at the URL Brickshelf.com is starting it's own forum website now, called Zerostuds (what a gay name). I wonder how much of a sucess this will be. This just in, I shall stay faithfull to our here EB. ;-) yay This is oo7 of the EB News Team saying goodnight. Quote
eNiGMa Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Looks interesting, to say the least. I'll wait till more members show up before I join, though. Thanks for pointing this out! Quote
Jipay Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 oh boy, another "pro" MOCer website. There is already one, which is even more extreme, were you can only register if you are sponsorized by two already registered user. But at least, they have the decence to stay hidden and to have a real systeme that ensure the quality of the displayed models. Now the BS website seems a little bit more, well... I'm not sure. First of all, the concept of zero stud isn't IMO the guaranty of a nice looking model. Anyway, we'll see, I wish them good luck *y* Quote

Anyway, we'll see, I wish them good luck *y* yeah... it seems they also have several differently formed forums like town, space, technic,... honestly, i think the lego community is already structured in that regard, if you're interested in castle for instance you'll be visiting CC, not this new site with a brand new forum with nothing in it... but oh well... it's a free world Quote
Jipay Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Well i do agree on the fact that the AFOL communities are already structured, but I also do think that there are a lot of AFOLs that are posting their MOC on brickshelf and aren't registered anywhere, so it might be an opportunity for them to join a community and then starting to browse other websites (and the best of all !). the thing I'm definitly not sure about is the studless thing. Hopefully they'll wind up there instead of being anonymous gods. I'll jump in. I hope they change the Bionicle forum to "open". Right now, it redirects you to BZPower, which is totally understandable... but there should at least be an open forum for discussing the sets themselves. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Interesting... I wonder how well it'll do. I'm guessing decently well, as they already have over 50 members. Quote
SuvieD Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Zero studs as in studless building? Sorry not for me. LEGO is all about the studs. I *wub* LEGO MOCs with studs! Quote

optimus-convoy Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Looks like a nice forum, I'll probably join eventually. What site is this? I've never heard of it... I beleve he's refering to In The Bricks. It's mainly a Bionicle/Space pro MOCer's forum. Quote
ghoulrealm Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 How good can it be without a pirate theme specific discussion? *n* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 6, 2006 Governor Posted July 6, 2006 Its lucky you've got good old Eurobricks Mr Ghoulrealm! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 First the link from Brickshelf to Zerostuds vanished... now Zerostuds itself seems to be gone from the internet. Maybe it's down-time for maintenance? Quote
oo7 Posted July 15, 2006 Author Posted July 15, 2006 Wow, that is wierd, we're rid of our competition X-D . Quote
