I say I am lazy, and dont want to do all the work myself :hmpf_bad: , hence, why I chose Seigmond over Dreo.

I try to stay in character while playing too. remember, there arent many employees left, so more work for me....

Really? Should the occupation of the person matter if they are scum? Even if you are worried about it, why would you have to make drinks? I am sure that most people would want to stay sober in order to keep their minds clear. I think that this is a pretty irrelevant excuse, Danielle. I think that my thoughts have been confirmed about you.

I agree. You can say you were napping, but that doesn't change the fact that you said you based your choice of Siegmund over Dreo on their occupation, which is information irrelevant to this game of life. And as Colette has said, you say you are lazy, and an unconcerned person seems a lot like Scum.

A few of you think I'm scum because I didn't vote yesterday, but I explained why. I really did not want a repeat of day 1 and 2, where innocent people were killed. But seeing as people think it's scummy to do that, then I'll be voting today.

I didn't suspect Dreo because (as I've said before) I've worked with him for quite a long time, and he's never done anything I've found suspicious.

Wouldn't this too be basing your decision on information that doesn't apply to this game of life? Why do people keep saying they don't want to vote for someone because of their jobs? That's a terrible way to handle this situation! Unless of course, you didn't want to vote for someone you knew was a fellow Scum and you needed a cover story. :look:

Yes, I suppose that would be basing my decision on someone's job  . But now that I've realised it, I won't be doing it again! And to repeat myself, I did not know Dreo was scum!

We didn't know either. We convicted him based on our suspicions. Besides, you voted for Raquel and Ravi as well, and we didn't know if they were scum. (in fact, they weren't!)

We've gone through three Days. We've convicted three people based on our suspicions, none based on fact. Two of those three were Innocent, one was Scum. The situations were similar: someone suspected someone else, information was brought out to support that suspicion, and we convicted a suspect; yet you voted only on two of the days, the same two on which we convicted an Innocent. Coincidence?

No, it was not a coincidence. If you remember, I said before everyone started voting for Dreo that I was not going to vote that day because I didn't want more innocents being killed. I thought because two innocents were killed in two days then it was likely that a third would be killed on day three.

We lynched a scum! And none of us died!

I might have to do a little dance!

Now we're getting somewhere, and we already have suspects for today.

I'm glad to hear Siegfried has been cleared, and I am sorry for doubting you. :sadnew:

While I agree with the direction of this discussion, I'd also like to hear from those who were so unconcerned that they didn't feel the need to vote at all. I see Geert is in the process of defending his stance on this. Will we hear from Casey, and possibly Erin?

We must keep this momentum going!

Dance away Panda! Mind if I take a photo or two? :sweet:

Yeah, it would be good if we could also hear from Casey and Erin.

Dance all you want Panda, however don't let it distract you from the descision we have to make today.

Quite a lot of interesting information going around... Geert has been on my list since the beginning, but Danielle does arrouse my suspicions and we have relatively strong cases against both of them. although I do hold a personal grudge against Danielle... Meanie!!!!

Why? I've answered people's questions, and defended myself against accusations. Tell me what it is that males you think I'm so suspicious, and I'll explain why I did whatever it is you think is Mafia-ish behaviour.

I still don't think that's a good way to handle this game of life, but okay, that does make sense to me.

Great! I'm glad someone understands me about this. Now, if I can get Siegmond to stop suspecting me, then I can finally enjoy this great triumph over the Mafia.

There's something bothering me though... how many Mafia members are there? We've killed one; was he the only one? I doubt it. How many people will we have to kill before were certain we've got them all?

Mr. Crusoe returned to the others at noon, having recovered at least some of his sanity. He warned them against thinking that Dreo Jacmel had been working alone. The first note did speak of several people sent to the island, after all.

With those words, it was again time to vote a person the crowd thought was most suspicious. Mr. Crusoe expected to get a name before nightfall.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Voting starts now. You will have about 48 hours from now to reach a conviction. It takes 7 votes to convict someone.

Just make sure you realize that I understand your reasons, it doesn't mean I trust you. (yet)

I've read books on this situation (yes, I read a lot  ), and there should be two to five more that we have to find. Not that you can expect the Scum to always abide by those statements.

True.

Mostly it's your way of hiding out, that's made me wonder about you. The fact that you did vote for both Raquel and Ravi, and nobody on Day 3, does make me suspect you, however Danielle did trip up on some valuable intel yesterday... possibly too lazy of a scummy to bother with keeping up with the times...? :sadnew:

I'm uncertain of either of you to pick, or if I should choose someone else to vote for. I'll just sit back for a bit and see what unfolds...

Just when I thought maybe we could get back to having a real celebration vacation here. :cry_happy: Well, at least there's one less murderer sneaking around in the night. YEAH!!!!!

Well the reason I don't post talk that much is because I have real life work on the island to deal with. If you look, I actually participate in the conversations most of the time I'm online in the room. So that's why I'm not as talkative as most of you.

Also, you mention "valuable intel" from Danielle? I can't remember any, could someone refresh my memory?

Im going to start off the voting. Vote: Danielle Barrie (Dan the Brickman)

Now, as we all know, this is just the early stage of the voting, so if you give proof you are innocent Danielle, then I will take back my vote. But for now, i'm going to have to vote against you.

What kind of book knows the exact number of Mafia? I'm not suspecting that you are scum yet, as this is only one thing you've done to make me suspect you. I think that you may be a Mafia member, seeing as you know how many scum there are, but I'm not going to vote for you. Yet.

It's all in this conversation between Danielle and Colette..

I left for a bit, and came back to find someone else did change their vote, and, at the same time, Mr Crusoe walked in, and closed the thread and caught Dreo trying to escape. It was too late then.

You know what, I think you're lying Mz. Danielle. The deciding vote izn't actually ze switch vote by Kylan, but Bridget's last minute vote. Not zo good in making up storiez huh?

Mostly I've found a lot of information in the book MafaWiki, but the library's catalog (read: Google) has proven very useful in digging up this kind of information. I can't find the book with that info at the moment, but I'll get back to you if I do.

Ah, here we are: the book How to Play Mafia. :classic: Not very thorough otherwise, and it's based on older situations (read: the card game), but there is a chart showing numbers of scum per total people and which side that setup tends to lean towards. It only goes up to thirteen total, but you get the general idea.

I know I am going to vote: Erin Ennis (Euvor) this time. I said she was suspicious, and, I honestly think she is scum. Why else is she hiding? I'm going to ask you all to go along on this one and trust me. Maybe if my hunch is right, you might see that I really am one of you, and not one of those scumbags.

and, not to metagame, but wouldn't it be fairer to eliminate some one who will basically be 'god-killed' anyways? and let the active people have a chance to be proven right?

And, Miss LeMans,

I was not lying, I was merely sumerising what happened since I had left the conversation, went offline to the time I came back. :hmpf:

And, like I said, I would have switched my vote at the last minute, if it were truly necessary.(better to choose someone else, rather then risk god picking you)

But, might I point out, there was no "imminent danger" of us not getting a conviction.

Seriously, 3 OTHER PEOPLE didnt vote at all! or, hadnt gotten online yet to do so. (actually a 4th person didnt vote, but he got convicted so...)

Geert Rotterdam, (Gregorovich)- showed up late? :sceptic:

Casey Roswell (Capt. Redblade)- no vote at all! what about your trust in HIM??? why arent you dissapointed in him? Hmmmm???? *huh*

Erin Ennis (Euvor) seriously, acting scummy. :hmpf_bad:

----

and, as to the accusations about focusing on trivial matters....

I have been reading this one book, where some town people have been more worried about sniffing flowers, and uh...carrots, then finding the murderers... even though there were demons after them all. That kinda makes us seem...less trivial?

I've only skimmed that book, but I read a similar one where the town people were more worried about applesauce and sausages, but they didn't use that information to base their votes on. They might vote for that person and say something along the lines of "so sorry you had to go, you make great applesauce" (not quoting anyone, just an example), but they never used that as a basis to decide that they were going to vote for that person.

But the chronological order of your 'summary' izn't exactly correct, that inconsiztent structure iz characteristic of made-up stories. :hmpf_bad:

And I still don't believe that "there waz no "imminent danger" of uz not getting a conviction". Really? You're still sticking with that belief? The fact iz you did not cooperate with ze majority vote, which almost cost us ze non-conviction of Dreo, who you intentionally refused to vote for since he'z your fellow scumbag right?

With regards to my scum list, it iz still ze three of you, Geert, and Erin. Unless you don't have the balls to talk to a French chick privately, where I could scrutinize if you're lying or not. Come 'on, I dare you three. I'll be waiting...
