KillaGorilla Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 So I just recently watched the HBO series Rome and have become slightly obsessed with creating a Roman battle for the next Brickcon. I remember on Brothers Brick a while back a MOC was posted of either a Roman or Greek city center, with citizens, a temple, soldiers and some type of execution or public humiliation. My memory of it is fuzzy, so that may not be entirely accurate. I've spent a good amount of time looking through brothers-brick archive, brickshelf and the MOC indexes here and still have not found it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, i would greatly appreciate it if you could link me to it. I need some inspiration. Thanks a ton guys -KillaGorilla Quote
Mr. Gray Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I think I have an idea of what you are talking about. I'll go looking, and edit this post with the link if I find it. I can only vaguely remember the creator's name, but I think I am close! Quote

Marco Cancellieri Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hi, maybe you can look for same rebuilding of ancient Rome not in lego to find something for your moc. Watching on google you can find a lot of pics like this: Or maybe you can search on google earth: google earth Ps: I'm roman! Quote
KillaGorilla Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 Well I finally found the MOC I was looking for. Apparently it was Ancient Greece, not Rome. My bad. Those MOCs and ideas you guys just gave me are great. Just the inspiration I need. Im currently sorting all my legos into hardware plastice drawers. After that I plan on starting an Ancient Roman MOC. Quote
tedbeard Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I've got 40-50 in my Legio XXIII if you want to work together? I had a small detachment marching into Tom's forest at BrickCon last year in the castle section: Picture on flickr In any case I look forward to seeing what you build. I am going to get a supply of the new column pieces to do a temple or something. Quote

MstrOfPppts Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 If you need more inspiration (Architecture wise) the Grand Ages of Rome is an excelent computer game. Just like Simcity but in Roman age and some militia included as well. Quote
