Inkog Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 WOW! Thanks everyone for the great feedback! It has been a truly great experience getting back into Lego as a hobby, albeit it's a bit expensive I intend to finish the rear half of this castle in phase 2... once my wallet recovers some. Again, thanks for all of the outstanding feedback. You all have made me feel very welcome here on EuroBricks. Quote
TheCrimsonTrooper Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Most impressive, I find myself quite fond of the choices of color in this MOC. The colors you used give it a feel that I feel wouldn't be acheived by another color scheme. Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Awesome creation! I never thought of the Dragon Knights as "civilized". I love that tower you built. Quote
badboytje88 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Welcome to eurobricks. I love your MOC. The tower with the brown shutters looks slightly out of place because it's architecturally very different from the rest of the castle. Which doesn't mean that I don't like it, because I really do! Best part about your MOC has to be the lovely little village inside the castle walls. Great job! Quote
Smack Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 What a beautiful, clean and epic MOC! What a way to introduce yourself to the community! I am truly in awe of the work of a person just coming out of their dark ages! Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Quote
Bayou Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 It's just amazing ! The details, the colours,... very impressive ! We did right to be patient this last 15 years ... Quote
RubeusHagrid Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 That is brilliant! Well done. Can I have it? (just kidding, but that is one great moc) Quote
fff Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 So nice... i really appreciate a great taste! Wonderful!! Quote
hollywood_heidke Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Wow! This is really superb. I, too, was feeling the urge to create a decent keep for the Dragon Knights. Looks like anything I tried to build now would just pale in comparison to what you've already done. :) So many great things going on in this MOC: moat, foliage, collected gear from "the good guys", ale house, cobblestones, wizard tower...the list goes on and on. I especially like that you used a little bit of the color scheme, building style, and techniques from sets like Medieval Market Village. It seems like an homage to current Kingdoms/Castle sets (this is a great idea since it ties the MOC in with the rest of them). It makes me wish this set was available for purchase :) Great work! Gabe Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I saw this on Flickr a while ago - what really caught my eye was the unusual shapes in the walls and tower. Very striking. Quote
Nav Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Your castle really great!! I love the different shops and other buildings inside of it! Quote
Erynion Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Cool castle. I'm not sure if this is the look that you were going for, or if anyone else agrees, but to me it looks more like a 'decorative' castle, or even an old stone mansion - e.g., like it belongs to a lord or nobleman of the realm, and it's where he and his subjects live, rather than being a fortified defensive structure. All the same though, the detail is impressive, especially being your first MOC in 15 years... good job. Quote
henryhotspurs Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Truly a work of Lego art. Congratulations! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 This looks fantastic. Although I would normally picture a dragon knight castle to be more blacks/dark bley similar to their armor, I do really like the contrast with the light/dark bley and it really makes the outline of the structure stand out. I am impressed with this MOC for sure. Quote
