I have to say that I am very sorry to see you go, but lets make sure that your sets don't go to waste  . Are you planning on abandoning EB as well?

I'll take everything that hasn't been taken by the other seven pages of people. HP themed parts, flesh figures, and sets especially. I also find myself in need of tan, lots and lots of tan. I would appreciate any (Or all  ) of the above that you are willing to give. .

Btw, if this is real, I will be shocked. Pleasantly shocked, but still shocked. Don't get your hopes up folks, if he was getting rid of it, there's a handy thing called eBay for getting rid of stuff :hmpf: . And why wouldn't he expect a big response for free Lego on a Lego forum?

Not sure how many female Minifigs you have, but I believe you must have quite a bunch out there. Like I've said before I would take any female fig (and or with the set). But since you didn't reply on my post I think you didn't even read them or you're just ignoring me (which I hope is not the mather).

Like Fugazi said, I am reading all of the posts, of course I donät have time to respond to them all. I am simply observing how many people are interested at this point. I will probably announce a list or something tomorrow.

I love how this thread has demonstrated some kind of fundamental cautious agnosticism among forum-dwellers.

No one believes the offer to be true. And yet no one will risk not asking for free LEGO. You know... just in case.

Heh, that's a good observation. Perhaps this is all some sort of social experiment? default_tong.gif

I must request free LEGO every 108 minutes. Because I can't bear to find out what happens if I don't.

At first, sorry for being impatience, just put me last on the list (if noone else wanted most of your female figs that I'm willing to pay for and for the shipping too). And second, if this is not a social experiment than it must be a conspiracy.

Like I said in the first page about the sets. If they are gone by the time it comes to me, I will just have a big ol bag of parts (trans colors for some if possible). I will pay for shipping if you don't mind. Good luck in The Real Life.

Well, I didn't bother to look through all the posts here to see what has been given away, but I'll take any castle stuff you have left over. You didn't mention any space stuff, but if you happen to have any older space sets, I'd take one or two also. Minifigures are always nice too. And some foliage. And if you could spare a baseplate or two that would be nice. And if you have some old style hinges (the ones replaced by click hinges) I'll take those. Don't send too much though (as in the equivalent of like 5-8 medium size sets), I don't have much room. Sad that you are giving up this hobby though... (BTW, if this is an April fools joke, I'll be so sad I won't even throw megablocks at you). Send a PM when your ready for shipping info (Please note that due to a number of things going on, I might not be able to accept, I'll tell you in the reply PM if I can. If I can't, just give it to someone else)

I'm amazed that while everyone is skeptical, everyone is still asking for Lego....

I just don't understand where you guys see all those sceptical people?! :look:

I'm loving how hopeful you guys all are! What are the chances, In all seriousness, of someone giving away thousands of dollars worth of Lego, and deciding to do it on the one day of the year that happens to be April 1. I really think you guys shouldn't be too exited yet

That said, In the off chance this is real, I guess I might as well put my name down..

I'd estimate the chances at about 1 in 980,569,210,089,118,978,103 (about the odds of getting struck by lightening, winning a million dollars in the lottery, being hit by a car, and attacked by a giant squid in the same day), but that is a large enough probability for me to be hopeful of getting a few sets and a lot of parts :classic:

See the next two posts after yours..... maybe I should be surprised more people aren't seeing this as an April Fools joke.

Honestly, even if Jim didn't intend this as a social experiment, I've been surprised to see the results. It just seems to me the proportion of people thinking this could be an April Fools joke is waaaaay less then the people looking to jump on the free Lego bandwagon.

Again, if I'm made to look like the biggest fool, I'll be happy for everyone. But I'll take that chance. :sceptic:

It's almost April 2nd in Austria, so time to fess up.

Yes, this was an April Fool's joke. No, I'm not giving away my Lego. No, I'm not selling it either.

Sorry.

But, wow, I had some of you going. default_laugh_new.gif Thanks to those of you who know me all too well and played along, and very sorry to those who were anticipating a bunch of free Lego. Please don't get too mad, it's all in the holiday spirit.

Thanks for playing. Next year, I will give up April Fool's jokes.

Pffffffffffffffffffffffftt.

Thanks for saving me just in time, JimButcher. I was beginning to think the scent of free Lego had driven my fellow Eurobrickers insane!

Good job!

Expect a lot of that now mate.

Seriously guys, are you absolutely sure there aren't some vultures among us?:grin:

Nice one JimButcher! You had me in stitches!

A lot of people didn't believe this but were afraid of missing out, they signed up on the off chance of getting some free LEGO. I didn't expect this to be true (you would never give up all your LEGO!) but in the small chance it was I wasn't going to be left out.

I'm not angry, it's all good fun!:tongue:

Actually, deep down the expression of TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE comes to mind.....Good One 'JB' !

Why, would anyone throw money away ?

Keep on joking.....watch out for next year !

Are you absolutely sure about this? Paying for shipping costs too? That's extremely generous.

What about encouraging people to donate to a charity of your choice based on their appreciation of what they receive and what they can afford?

I'm interested in Indiana Jones the most. I will pay my own shipping costs to the U.K. if you select me as a lucky recipient.

p.s. If this is an April Fools Joke, it's a bit early!

Time zones.

A wise man once said, "there's no such thing as a free lunch". Or a Lego brick as it seems.

Siriusly though, I doubt that very many people fell for it, but NOBODY on a Lego forum would pass on the chance, unlikely as it was, that someone would give away their Lego. It was the perfect joke. Somebody should have front-paged it  .

Oh wonderful. And I even had a spot cleared off on my floor for all the new sets and parts I was going to get... I even told some friends that (depending on what you sent) I might have a few new parts available for trading... Oh well. If you decide to give away some LEGO for real, send me a PM and I will gladly take your stuff.
