Epic promo for the "Umbara" arc!

I'm so excited for this! Lots of explosion! Plus, it has to be great if it is only our 2nd 4-part arc of the series!

Looks like Krell & Rex won't get along...

Any one of 6 named clones could die in this arc, so for Clone lovers like me, this could be intense for us. We know Rex will appear later in the season, so any of these could die (Fives/Jesse/Kix/Hardcase/Dogma/Tup). If I had to make a guess, I'd say Tup will fall, plus maybe Jesse or Hardcase.

By the way, here is a synposis:

"Anakin relinquishes the command of the 501st as the Legion embarks on a deadly mission."

My guess is this means Anakin will lead a space battle for the first episode, while Pong Krell (That's his confirmed full name) will lead Rex and others to the surface...

Strange. 35% of Season 4 is already over, and I still have the impression that it has not yet begun. If I remember correctly Felloni announced that this season would be darker since the show approaches its end and episode 3 is getting closer. I do not feel, however, that it's getting darker. Most of what I've seen so far seems pretty irrelevant for the ongoing war, the characters, and, last but not least, the audience.

I feel the same about this season. The episodes weren't as good as I hoped, I just liked some new designs etc.

Maybe the las few episodes will be darker, atleast the episodes with Ani and the slaves..

That is the General Pong Krell I mentioned, and he will appear in ALL of the next 4 episodes.

Agreed. That wasn't a bad show, either. But then again, back when that one came out, there wasn't exactly a lot of canon to contradict or compare to.

I thought the episode wasn't that bad. The opening sequence (the first three minutes) were pretty good. But then I saw the Lilliputians and the butterfly plants and went, " ". I really would've liked to see the Lilliputian planet and the Oz planet omitted. The pirates' droid arena could've been developed a lot more.

I love Commander Wolffe Wish LEGO would make him in his phase 2 armor now.

The new episode was ok, had some entertaining parts. I surprised we have to wait 2 weeks for a new episode, especially one that seems like it will be good.

[off subject/ D'oh! Of COURSE TLG's gonna make him in his P2 armor! They have to now that they've got him in P1. Same for Rex. And they are obviously leading up to General Krell and Dexter Jettster with Garmadon from Ninjago! They have dug themselves in with this series and aren't letting go. Thus, give people what they want. Thus, P2 Wolffe and Rex. Thus, P2 troopers for when ROTS comes out in 3D. TLG has SW, and they aren't letting go any time soon. /off subject]

On the subject of the episode, that pirate arena was comically stupid. And seriously, R2 and 3PO captured by Seppies? That's become a once-a-season thing! Lucas, give us something new, won't you? Because I'm really tired of Grievous vs Obi-Wan and Ventress vs Anakin. Make Savage Opress vs Ahsoka! That would be a fight worth seeing.

I think that it would be a bad idea for the two to become the same, since their markings and personalities are so different. Appo prefers to stay generic and blend with his troopers, while Rex clearly distinguishes himself from his troops. Appo follows orders to the letter, while Rex regularly disobeys to get the job done better. Appo executes Order 66 willingly, but I imagine Rex would have resisted. It would be better that Appo is a rising sergeant in the 501st, who is promoted to Commander, while Rex breaks away from the 501st and forms a new legion with Ahsoka.

Or just kill off Rex and Ahsoka. That's still the best way to integrate those two into the timeline.

However all this is speculation as all we saw in the films was Appo apparently dying at the hands of Jet Zukas, he could well be any unnamed 501st legion trooper or a named one like fives as he's not named in the films. It's now unlikely he's Rex, I don't think that Rex would go from his customised armour to standard armour.

Appo died on Kashyyyk during Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader.

Yep. He was wounded by Jukassa, but recovered and became Vader's right-hand man until he died on Kashyyk.

I hope that they do get appo into the show some how would be a good contrast between him and rex but more on topic Im just getting more and more fed up with the show, season 3 was terrible after the first 2 episodes the fact that the clone wars had barely any clones made it boring and I really just can't be bothered with season 4 it's just getting annoying the fact that always in the end the good guys win they might lose at the beginning but suddenly turn it around and win it's just repetitive and I really want to see some separatist long term victories and some good episodes that I don't want to cringe every second.

But I must agree, the Republic is obviously winning the war, they beat the Seperatists every time. And like you said, there just aren't enough clones in TCW. I accept, and even like, a Padme episode once in a while. But when they feature her in every episode, it's getting way out of hand. I would like to see a clone squad without a Jedi general for once, as it would be interesting to see them develop without a 'role model'. I think that that's why everyone loved Echo and Fives, because they distinguished themselves without the help of the Jedi. If TCW had more episodes like 'Rookies', the series as a whole would be a lot better.

I think that this season has so far been the best for episodes that are funny in a way that they didn't intend. I'm sure many people wanted to see a full on fight between Grevious and Galia take center stage, but it was so much more hilarious to see it half happening with the focus being something else. I mean really, didn't anybody else laugh when you see Galia go flying across the background while the Droids are doing something or other?

And then there's R2 squishing the "Big Whateverthing." I couldn't believe they actually put that into the show; it was so gross, but also funny. Was that Felucia by the way? It kind of looked like it, but I wasn't sure.

I agree with you there Cloney. I enjoyed seeing her go flying.

Wow. And just when you thought there couldn't be any more stupid species than the Aleena. I mean seriously, is the rest of the galaxy inhabited by morons?

While the episode did have its humorous moments, it was just a weird mix of several different little stories with hardly any plot to it. The next episode(s) looks promising, so all we can do is stay optimistic and hope they will make up for this.

Yes, that was certainly hilarious. And no, it wasn't Felucia. According wookieepedia, it was Patitite Pattuna.

I agree, I think they've already made Rex as a textbook 'good-guy' character in the series that I will find a hard time imagining him executing Order 66. Like what Doc said, the best way to deal with Rex (and Ahsoka) is for them to die in the series, which makes sense since it will push Anakin more towards to the Dark Side having two of his closest 'comrades in the war' gone.

I see your point, but Rex is a much-loved character, the fans would start an uprising if he and Ahsoka were to die. I think that the most likely storyline is that Rex learns of Order 66 while he is on a mission with Ahsoka, and fakes both their deaths to escape the order. He then escapes with Ahsoka to some Outer Rim planet.

That is my point of view, but Lucas might think differently.

But didn't the Trailer suggest Rex is having trouble with that Besalisk Jedi? No rhetorical question, I'm not good at analyzing trailers. And after two more years of wearying war with unpleasant generals Rex could change

Also, Rex seemed the have sympathy with that deserted clone soldier in the first season. He could decide not to stay with the corrupt Republic/Empire and therefore leave. I agree that many people wouldn't like him to die, and if he dies, they'll at least have to make it very special, not some random self-sacrifice-for-whatever-reason. Of course, if Anakin e.g. has to leave him for death and thereby gets closer to the dark side would be a way to kill him.

Yes but they have done the same thing with Cody more or less, and that is the biggest shock of all having these 'good' characters turn on you like that. However Rex and Ahsoka need to be wrapped up by the end of the show i.e. before order 66 unless GL GCI's them into ROTS .

I doubt that. People know they have to die, eventually. I don't think either Rex or Ahsoka is beloved and iconic enough to cause an "uprising". It's not like killing off another Chewbacca. If they do the character justice with the death, I don't think there'll be many complaints. (and I'm sure there will be many happy to see Ahsoka go, too)

To me, Cody is more of a by-the-books type of officer than Rex is. He's not the type that would disobey Order 66, even if he had decided that it was the wrong thing to do.
