LEGOman273 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I'll have no doublethink on these boards! Regardless of who Tills was named after, she originally appeared in Sith (which, as far as I know, Filoni played no part in producing) as a male and was portrayed in subsequent canon sources as such. The quote given on Wookieepedia concerning the matter suggests that Filoni retconned this on a whim. Retconning does not mean that Senetor Tils underwent a sex change. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I misunderstood Oky's post, then. What do you mean? Quote
Brickadeer Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) That ruins A Friend in Need. We now know it will end with Lux betraying Ahsoka. Imagine if Ahsoka ended up killing Lux?! Always the motion in future is... *** POSSIBLE SPOILER *** No, I don't think she will kill him, and no, I don't think he really betrays her. Edited January 11, 2012 by Brickadeer Quote
Oky Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 The point is that they were standing on rocks, trees, etc before descending to the ground in that scene. (That they do so in one scene means that doing so in another is likely) Isn't that basically what I said? Meh, whatever. Retconning does not mean that Senetor Tils underwent a sex change. Agreed. And I was indeed talking about sex changes, not retcons like Fallenangel thought I did. Let's change the subject before this conversation gets weird. Quote
Peanuts Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Didn't read the descriptions of Deception and Friends and Enemies, because I think I'll watch this arc more or less spoilerfree. I don't expect too much, but I hope those episodes will turn out well. They've got lots of potential character development for both Ahsoka and Lux (even if they kill him), and I wonder how they will actually change the Death Watch and Vizla, and I hope they have a good reason for Lux to join them, as there doesn't seem to be much sence in him becoming part of a nationalist Mandalorian terror group at first thought. Hope they made a good connection and not some "random character A joins random party B" kind of plot. I'll keep hoping the arc won't disappoint me anyway. I've lately taken a break from watching TCW, and I was surprised there were only three new episodes. So I've watched the slave arc, and I think they could have made it better. That queen must be exceedingly stupid, letting Anakin walk around free, which made the whole thing far less believable. And they absolutely neglected the problemacy of how the protagonists are slaves to the republic/to the Jedi order, which gave space for emotional troubles for both the Jedi and Rex, with him being a more freethinking clone and especially after the Krell story. Also the fact that Anakin had ben a slave as child was barely exerted. It was mentioned at the beginning of Slaves to the Republic and Anakin strangled the queen at the very end of the episode (which was done well, there's way too few dark Anakin), but I think they could have done more with that. LEGOman273 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 As I will miss A Friend in Need, could someone PM me some episode info (plotline, action, E.T.C.) please? Thanks! Quote

LEGOman273 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 You can always watch it online. Thanks. But, do you know how to get past the ads? Also, whenever I click on the episode, it sends me to another ad. Quote

Oky Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Oh! Now I get it! Obi-Wan is getting shot on purpose so that he can fake his death and go undercover! That's also why Anakin is pursuing him. It all makes sense now... sort of. I knew they wouldn't torture Obi-Wan any further! Hopefully it will stay that way... Now I can look forward to these episodes again. Let's just hope Anakin wont be too annoying. You can always watch it online. Or you can download the HD version! It's absolutely ad-free! It only makes you wait a couple of seconds before you can download it. And did I mention it's HD? Quote

General Magma Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 (edited) Now that was a pretty neat episode. It was great to see the Mandalorians in action. After seeing the next episode's preview, I'm looking forward to it, which doesn't happen as much for these - but that's been different for season 4. It seems like it's going to be a dark episode. ~ General Magma Edited January 14, 2012 by General Magma Quote
sok117 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Now that was a Damn good episode! I was very surprised considering it was an Ashoka one. The development between Lux and Ashoka is very interesting to watch. Lux is definitely turning out to be a cool character, I really like his motives. My favourite part about the episode though was the way the scenes were shot, the camera angles really added something to it. I also liked how the mandalorians looked rugged and different rather then the ones from season 2. Visla also seems much cooler now that hes bald. The fight sequences were really well done too. Overall a great episode. And the scene where R2-D2 is persuaded to fix the droids is so creepy that it's cool. Quote
Brickadeer Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I liked the episode. I hope the mandalorian fighter spoken by Katee Sackhoff will play a greater role. Quote
commanderneyo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I liked the episode. I hope the mandalorian fighter spoken by Katee Sackhoff will play a greater role. She will. Dave Filoni has confirmed she, as well as Vizsla and the rest of Death Watch will appear again in S5. And next season, Bo-Katan will actually remove her helmet Quote
Fives Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) That was a pretty great episode, and it made the Mandos look a hell of a lot cooler than before. I was really expecting that Ahsoka was going to kill Vizsla, but the fact she didn't is great. Also, I loved how R2 acted as a savior for the other droids! Now, the next episode looks interesting. I'm unsure, but is Anakin not in on the plan in the next episode? Edited January 15, 2012 by Fives Quote
commanderneyo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Now, the next episode looks interesting. I'm unsure, but is Anakin not in on the plan in the next episode? From what I've heard. Only Mace, Yoda and Obi-Wan himself know. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 That's not the same scene. Come to think of it, I don't recall any sex changes in the Star Wars universe, so that would actually be pretty innovative. Juhani from KOTOR is a lesbian. The 1st homosexual in Star Wars, just saying From what I've heard. Only Mace, Yoda and Obi-Wan himself know. No Obi-wan won't know, cuz Obi-Wan will tell Anakin. Mace and Yoda and George Lucas just sat down and thought of a good prank to do on Obi-Wan and that what they thought of. Quote
Oky Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I'm unsure, but is Anakin not in on the plan in the next episode? Obviously not. Have you seen the preview for that episode? Looks like we're in for a lot more angsty Ani. Juhani from KOTOR is a lesbian. The 1st homosexual in Star Wars, just saying Uhm, the last time I checked, being homosexual and getting a sex change are not the same thing. Seriously, guys, do I have to spell out for you what a sex change is? And why are we even still talking about this? It was just supposed to be a joke. No Obi-wan won't know, cuz Obi-Wan will tell Anakin. What in the world are you talking about? The above sentence doesn't even make sense! Honestly, I'm getting the feeling that you only post here to troll! Quote
Brickadeer Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Can anyone explain to me why Death Watch wants to kill Count Dooku? I thought they were cooperating, but maybe I missed something. Quote
commanderneyo Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Can anyone explain to me why Death Watch wants to kill Count Dooku? I thought they were cooperating, but maybe I missed something. Dooku betrayed them, that's all that's confirmed, as well as he gave Vizsla his scar. I wish they replaced those pointless "tea" episodes with episodes showing Dooku's betrayal on the Death Watch. Darth Nihilus Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I wish they replaced those pointless "tea" episodes with episodes showing Dooku's betrayal on the Death Watch. I totally agree. Down with the Senate Wars, up with the Clone Wars! Quote
