Jedi master Brick Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I have to say it does piss me off when the say the clone wars is for kids because I don't imagine kids are intrested in political debates. Also when is the clone wars on in the U.K. last year we were jut over a week behind the U.S.A but this year it is ages. maybe the viewing figures were too low Quote

But I'm really starting to get sick of Jar-Jar, 3PO, and pointless Grievous fights at this point. If they put a new Commando squad into the storyline, it might get a bit better. As it is, I was put to the limits of my patience by the Slavers arc. Quote

Oky Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Wow, Boba had quite a growth spurt, didn't he? I'm kinda hoping Anakin will kill this new bounty hunter. It would bring him closer to the dark side, killing in vein. Plus nobody should be allowed to boast about killing Obi-Wan and get away with it. Quote

That's what it seemed like to me. And yes, I know in the trailer it looks like the bounty hunter shoots Obi-Wan, but I'm still thinking it's him. I usually get this type of thing wrong, though. Quote

I share this theory, so do many other fans I know. Here's a key reason. Parts of the bounty hunter's face shows area's that are freshly shaved. Notably, all the areas where Obi-Wan has hair. Quote

Fives Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 If that is Obi-Wan they have done a really great job of hiding. His nose looks different. Quote
Oky Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Hm, interesting theory. That would make sense actually. Oh well, there are plenty of other bounty hunters for Anakin to kill. If they put a new Commando squad into the storyline, it might get a bit better. Yeah, because introducing new stuff always makes the plot of a Clone Wars episode better. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 If that is Obi-Wan they have done a really great job of hiding. His nose looks different. This is the main reason I'm not buying that it's Obi-Wan. I know there was a description of the story arc a few weeks ago that said it was him, but they'd better have a damn good reason for his facial structure lookign so different... Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Guys, I don't think we need the spoiler tags for this discussion. These aren't really spoilers, it's all speculation anyway. Nobody is going to come into this thread if they didn't already want to speculate or find out about future episodes. I personally see plenty of reason for him to look a little different. It would actually make it convincing that Anakin wouldn't recognize him. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I wonder if Obi-Wan was shot by the real bounty hunter - faking his own death, killed the bounty hunter, pretended to be him as the other bounty hunters might be suspicious of someone they had never heard of, and was arrested for "killing" Obi-Wan in order to get in prison. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 If the bounty hunter in question is really Obi-Wan and he claimed to have killed Obi-Wan, how believable of a cover would it be if he had the same features? Quote

Peanuts Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I personally see plenty of reason for him to look a little different. It would actually make it convincing that Anakin wouldn't recognize him. But they are both Jedi. According to Yoda (and the EU, but who cares about the EU?) everyone, including even the clones, is different in the force. So how would Anakin not recognize Obi-Wan, his master, if he can see a droid coming from behind? That wouldn't make any sence (but who cares about sence either?). But anyway, the arc in itself looks cool. And I agree with the Obi-Wan is the bounty hunter theory. Quote

Exactly, the CW hasn't exactly built itself up on things that actually make sense. They basically do whatever is convenient, so if it's convenient to their entire story that Anakin can't sense Obi-Wan, they'll do it. Quote

Perhaps Obi-Wan can too. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Man that "Deception" was so crazily-awesome. Boba Fett's twirpish attitude, though, made me want to scream. That was a pretty clever scheme by Yoda, Windu, and Kenobi though. Can't wait for next week. Quote
CaptainCRO Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 What a brutal episode!! One of my favourites probably. Quote
Fives Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 That was a really great episode! I'm glad we got to see what jail is like in Star Wars. It was also really cool how they transformed Obi-Wan into the bounty hunter. At the end of the episode, I got the feeling that Cad Bane knows that Obi-Wan or someone else is there. Really great episode! Quote

commanderneyo Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 "As Darth Maul and Savage Opress assault on the Jedi in the temple, Obi-Wan and Mace Windu evacuate the young lings while Anikin confronts Maul in a duel that leads him to the dark side of the force." Description of "Revenge". Quote
CaptainCRO Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I still don't get it how Maul survived. Is he going to have metal legs? Quote
