Mr Man Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Wow saint, I've just compare it with page 1 (I forgot what it looked like ). I love studs but this looks astounding in smoothie tiley goodness. Apart from the turret over the cockpit, it all looks excellent. I love the neck armour. Does it have an interior yet? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Wow, amazing job on further improving your already excellent first version Saint! The SNOT finish of the surface really takes this on a whole different level of aesthetic beauty, and even the other minor but significant modifications you did are quite impressive. Kudos for practicing continuous improvement on this MOC. (Just don't let the cat mess with this thing of beauty). Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 That's awesome! Much improved over the last one. I'm really liking the tiled feel of it. Quote
Mr Man Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 (Just don't let the cat mess with this thing of beauty). It looks bigger than the cat (nice cat though). Quote
Saint Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 It looks bigger than the cat (nice cat though). That's Sam, one of 2 cat's that we serve in this house. It's bigger than Sam, I tried to ad a turret to him, but he doesn't approve of this. ( something like Dinoriders, an obscure cartoon of the '80's I believe ) They don't bother me while building and they keep of the LEGO ( as long there's food ) Sweet cat's ! Quote

Brickdoctor Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 It looks so much more awesome when tiled over. Great improvements. Must...find...exposed...1x1s... Quote
Darth Yogi Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Wow! That looks fantastic. I thought your old version was amazing, but this, its just to amazing . Cute cat. Great job Quote
Ceroknight Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Well done! I knew I would see an amazing CTT! Quote
Saint Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 The rest of the photo's are available through Brickshelf as well Phase 2 of CCT I'm still searching for a good way to rappel the Clones out of the CCT, Rope isn't that good ... I added Obi-Wan and his brand new AT-RT ( Witch I entered for the "Personal Ride Contest" ) just for fun. The 3rd phase is going to take longer I reckon, adding interior, greeblies and other stuff that isn't random at all, I want to give it a real feel of the model. Take a look at the Model, and you know C&C is appreciated ! Quote
Mr Man Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 How about a folding ladder system in either cockpit or that platform where the clone with the white pauldron is standing. Nice looking crew. Quote
Saint Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 The sketchy info I collected gives me to believe that even a big side door isn't true to the vehicle. I believe it's loaded from a docking bay of sorts, like the AT-AT in RotJ. It's stated that there is indeed a boarding hatch, I guess it's half the size of mine. I guess I took the liberty to add a bigger hatch, and more I believe, otherwise I'll be going crazy about details that are in fact half baked or just look silly on this scale. As I stated before, I want to do a reasonably accurate CCT on minifig scale, this is getting close, but not close enough IMHO I'm pleased, but can find room for improvement. So, in closing : I don't believe a folding ladder will be the answer I'm looking for. perhaps 2 or 4 zip-lines on both sides will do the trick. As it is Sunday before the BrickMania in Wetteren (Belgium) I don't think of rebuilding a big section right now. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I don't think the huge door looks that bad. Are you going to motorize the ropes? Quote

BrickArtist Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 DK books says the two hatches are located on the top. Looks good, those tiles really added to the model. Quote
Admiral of the Red Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 That is just epic; I can't believe it only took you a few weeks! Great job, especially on those massive wheels and the realistic detail work Quote
