Plissken Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 This is really an mazing MOC. I was always fascinated by the architecture of the opera, very unique and remarkable. You captured all of it in your build. Oh, and I love these wings Quote

Cecilie Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I had high expectations for this after seeing your WIP, and you don't disappoint! . The end result is stunning, really a very beautiful MOC. Too bad Australia is a bit to far from Norway to just drop by and see this , I would have loved to see it in real life. Quote
Redcross Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It has been fascinating watching your genius unfold, the planning involved to get this built so quickly must have been significant. Congratulations, time for a good lay down now. I wonder if it would be worthwhile approaching the people behind the lego exhibit at the Sydney Aquarium. Quote
AussieJimbo Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Fantastic result, BadLeo. Very impressive rendition of our famous Opera House. :classic: Quote

BadLeo Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 I am utterly speechless mate... and besides, no amount of superlatives would do this justice. Hats off. WOW! MetroiD, you are over praised. Many thanks to blogging it! I really felt honored about it. I think this MOC is base on brave more than intelligent, because even the technique worked out, still need lot of brave to buy those slopes. moreover, This MOC seem cant keep very long time, so I have to find a way to handle those easy-yellow-white-slope :P Quote
eilonwy77 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 That is such a neat idea for making those curves. I'm so impressed! It's a beautiful creation all around. ;-) Quote
L@go Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I'm a bit puzzled as to why you've added those minifigs - they're probably there to spice the creation up and make it look more interesting, but in my opinion it would have looked much better without them, not least because they're out of scale with the building. And the main reason I don't like that is of course because your creation is utterly amazing in itself and really doesn't need spicing up to be interesting. Those roof shapes have been created in a unique and truly innovative way, and as I've already said, that's a terribly difficult thing to do with the square bricks we all love so much :) the finished product lives up to all the expectations your WIP pictures gave me. If TLC included this in the Architecture line, I'd be lining up to buy it. And that line would probably be quite long ;) Quote
