Please forgive me, but I ment to say "I was one of the first to vote for Felix, though it loses all gravitas when we see I (and about 3/4 of Felix's voters) voted after his confession". Please forgive my slip-of-the-tongue.

There's not much in the way of solid evidence, however the voting patterns do give us an indication of who's side people are on. Aswell as that, I found the way Mindy accused Booker because of his absence yesterday (that was already assumed to be a result of Booker being kidnapped) suspicious, as he was not there to defend himself.

As this is the best we have right currently I feel that for now at least, this is the correct choice for today.

Forgive me, but when someone gives incriminating evidence against someone who turns out to be innocent, and then suddenly disappears without a trace, I think I have the right to voice my suspicions. And thats all I did. I didn't vote for Booker, and I didn't try to sway the votes towards him. All I did was say who I thought was suspicious, and I would've given Booker ample time to explain.

As this is the best we have right currently I feel that for now at least, this is the correct choice for today.

Unless someone has more concrete evidence on someone else, I will Vote: Mindy Mouse (Professor Flitwick).

I agreed with Cameron. With the severe loss of our allies and friends, we are leave with no choice but to infer from the voting patterns as pointed by him. We got to start somewhere and that line has to be drawn until there is new evidenence surface, I will decide to cast and follow my votes too. Cameron's hunch and instinct had lead us to the correct conviction of Cara and I am willing to trust my judgement with his vote together.

There are two people who either voted against the lynch, or voted after the convicting vote was cast, in all three cases. Both are people I've been suspicious of for other reasons (unfortunately little tangible), and both have been shown doing something suspicious in pictures. Either or both could be scum, but in the absence of concrete evidence I fear we'll have to test them one-by-one, and see what they have to say.

Hmmm. I'm afraid that we have little else to go off of other than voting patterns, so I'm willing to support your plan. Her rebuttal was a little weak, but not as crazy as Cara's yesterday. I sincerely hope we're right about doing this.

I hope you all respect my decision, but I will not be voting for Mindy Mouse today. I do not believe Mindy has done much to garner the suspicion to be a DL. Mindy gave a rational reply as to her voting patterns. Now, I'm not saying that she might not be bending the truth, that's beyond my knowledge, but she also could be entirely truthful. To me, it's simply too much of a blind vote, and I'm not comfortable taking it. I do hope that whatever suspicions that were raised are true, for the town's sake.

  • I voted for Helen because I found her sudden vote for Edgar suspisous. Call me old fashioned, but a sudden vote with little to justify it, followed by a startling Bandwagon would raise ones suspisions.
  • On the second day I voted for Lazlo because I felt him rarely speaking was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, and as best as I can recall, there wasn't much of a case against Bristol to begin with, just another sudden bandwagon.
  • I didn't speak up much after Helen's rant at me; despite her apology it left me depressed, and I didn't want to keep coming back. However, I (like Bruno, Kaley and Marcus) did support the voting after the conviction had been reached.
  • I was one of the first to vote for Felix, though it loses all gravitas when we see I (and about 3/4 of Felix's voters) voted after his conviction.
  • I voted after the conviction to fully show my support, as did several others, including you, Cameron .
  • I voted for Helen, because, as with my aforementioned day one excuse, I found her revival very surprising, and whats more I trusted Bruno. Lets not forget that you were the first to vote, Rufus.
  • After Helen, I thought it would be best not to rush into voting straight away, and gave Cara a chance to protect herself.

Everyone voted for Felix after his confession. It is interesting that, despite waiting till after the conviction to vote for scum, you were oh so quick to jump in and vote for Helen.

I hope so too; however, there is no other way to test our suspicions.

To me, it's simply too much of a blind vote, and I'm not comfortable taking it.

Substitute anyone else's name for Mindy's - would you be comfortable then? This is what the Town do - we vote to narrow down the list of suspects. At this stage, it's not a very long list.

Substitute anyone's name and I would indeed still not be comfortable. Though, man, you are right. At this point, our only form of defense is the vote against their Arson and whoever is left in the DL. :sceptic:

Sorry Mindy, but the Croc's got a point. I'd prefer not to vote, but I don't want to be standing in the way of progress  .

Vote: Mindy Mouse (Professor Flitwick)

Once again, I hope the suspicions are right and this just not paranoia settling into all of us.

I'm really not sure of Mindy's guilt, but time is running out and suspects are running thin. I'm afraid I'm going to have to

True, as I said previously, Helen was a suspect of mine since her immediate revival. Call me old fashioned, but you don't tend to hold back when someone says they have incriminating evidence against someone you suspect.

Remember this: look for those who defended her, as opposed to those who took a neutral stance.

The Baker and his wife returned from their journey into the dark forest and presented Marcellus the Monk with a gift.

"Too long has our feud caused harm to the happy and adorable citizens of Spring Haven," The Baker's wife said, "If you are given the chance to, this should help set things right."

"Is this what I think it is?" Marcellus the Monk asked.

The Baker and his wife nodded.

"We will never be able to repay you, if we make it through this..." Marcellus told them, with tears of sorrow and joy in his eyes.

<Is there an echo in here?>

:look:

 Right, anyway. I kept running into this discussion and getting ready to say something, but then I'd inexplicably get distracted, only later to remember I hadn't said anything, only to come back and repeat the process. But I'm back now.

Although I was only going to state that I wasn't comfortable voting for Mindy, but then again voting is the only way we can test theories and advance in progression through this situation our village has landed in. Then I was going to vote for Mindy, but it seems a conviction has already been reached and therefore my vote in unnecessary.

This leaves me with a choice. Vote for Mindy to show my support, and if she turns out to be scum, then huzzah. If she turns out to be town, I made an error just like the rest.

But frankly, I don't see the point in voting for someone who's already been convicted, whom I wasn't comfortable voting for in the first place. If she turns out scum, then I guess it would be bad judgement on my part. If she turns out townie, I can take comfort the knowledge that I did not cast a stone against her. Then again I didn't do much to save her. But I'm rambling again! :hmpf: Let's just say I'll hold my vote and see what the night brings.

Not when I'm singing different parts of the song. :hmpf_bad::tongue:

Look forward to a pleasant surprise, come the morning.

I wouldn't blame yourself; a train (or equally, a bandwagon) is hard to stop once it's left the station, especially when it's heading in the wrong direction. :sceptic:

Mindy Mouse (Professor Flickwit): 7 votes (Rufus, Lord Arjay, CorneliusMurdock, WhiteFang, Inconspicuous, Scouts, Ricecracker)

Non-voters: 3 (iamded, Professor Flitwick, Fugazi)

A conviction has been reached. Mindy Mouse (Professor Flitwick) will be lynched.

021.jpg

It was late in the day when Mindy Mouse's accusers escorted her to the gallows. She, however, did not put up a struggle.

022.jpg

Quiet and dignified, she walked to the gallows, accepting her fate.

026.jpg

"I love this village," She said, once her accusers had chained her up, "And I love all of you with every last bit of my heart. I hope my death will bring answers to you and help you rid Spring Haven of this nightmare."

025.jpg

Then she began singing, "Que sera sera, whatever will be will be."

023.jpg

And for a moment, as the sun was setting on Mindy Mouse's final day on Earth, The Village of Spring Haven forgot it's troubles. They joined hands in a circle around Mindy and sang along with her.

"The future's not ours to see..."

And even the evil among them paused to reflect on the simpler times when everybody was happy and adorable, and the devil hadn't entered their midst.

"Que sera sera..."

Their peaceful song was intterupted when the devil entered their midst...

Day 8 is now over. You have 24 hours to get your night actions in.

And now a word from our sponsor:

(actually, I just can't think of a place to put this and keep forgetting to add it. I was going to post it with the conclusion, but I imagine that will be so clogged with explanations, the bio might get lost. )

Hinckley's Mafia Bio

Western Mafia

This was a huge blunder for me. I didn't know what a mafia game was and agreed to replace Quarryman about halfway through the game. I was the Sherrif and the night killer. I thought everyone could kill during the night so when I kept getting blocked I didn't understand the host's clues about who was doing it. I thought it was like Survivor and formed an alliance. The scum loved that and just joined in and we blatantly agreed to vote the others out. Needless to say, all the others were town and I had formed an alliance of myself, TheBrickster, and all scum. Not only was this foreshadowing for the infamous blunder of Bloodbrick's Asylum, it was hopelessly tragic for the town of Gold City. I remembered I tried to get the others to vote someone out by pretending like I'd been shot during the day...

Roman Mafia

 I love this role more than any role I've played. I was the Dux of the Aventine Plebs and I successfully convinced everyone to lynch Tiny Pius, the Torturer (investigator). We were all still new at this and didn't know that there was normally a "Cop" and I successfully talked everyone into believing that Tiny Pies was scum. When it was revealed that he was the town investigator I coined "oinking." I don't know how or why I chose oinking, but I read that game over every once in a while and just laugh at my meltdown. If you are a fan of EB mafia and haven't read Roman Mafia, do it...now.

Mystery Castle

I forgot to kick the pigeon. Stash got killed by a potato cart. I was told night after night that Shadows was sleeping with Zepher and still didn't understand that they were scum. We caught Shadows and two people quit. It was weird. But I win! Yay!

The Baritones

Out of my way, jerks! I'm hosting. I made up my own role, Vengeful Spirit, and introduced Paranoid Gun Owner and The Arsonist to EB games. I also added a role to even out the balance on day 2. That was silly of me, playing director/producer instead of host. But, the cross-dressing construction man and other fun elements made this game a success. I loved my first time hosting!

Witch Hunt

In my eyes, I unlocked everyone's mind and convinced them to kill the Inquisitor. There were too many witches turning up and I figured they were all death millers and The Inquisitor was the only witch. Turns out there were no witches: All townies, no scum. Of course, I was killed before the end and was one of the few to not survive that game that had, like, 100 winners. My fault for telling Quarryman to kill me. :hmpf: In everyone else's eyes I was the only witch and they won by killing me. I believe this is because I continued to play the game in the discussion thread after being killed. I was very persistent that I was right. Awesome photography and game presentation from an A+ host.

The Baritones 2

Narcissism abound, I'm hosting again. Baritones 2 pits the Mafia family Town against the FBI rat Scum. This was a fun game and the first where Shadows shows his true colors as the scummiest scum that ever scummed in Scumtown. I basically tell the remaining town players that Shadows is the last scum and they believe him over me. They deserved to die.

Galactic Paranoia

I've blocked most of this game out. I think I replaced somebody, was elected, publically, to be the new investigator, subsequently killed the next night, of course, and did some of the photography. This was a travesty of a game from what I remember, but it wasn't the second host's fault. We had a great mafia player try to host and just abandon his poor concept when it started going all wackadoo.

Noir Mafia

First sign that I'm scum: Shadows and I get along. So, there's this awful player named Striker who pretends to be poisoned by another player and I immediately identify him as amateur scum, since I tried that crap in Western Mafia. Shadows wants me dead but another scummie convinces him to convert me instead. We take Stash, the naive investigator, under our wing and dupe him until the end. This was hard to do, but fun in the end, especially since Stash was a good sport. Nothing's worse than having to lie to someone who you talk to on the phone on a regular basis. We, the scummies, win.

Mystical Castle

This is the game I try to block out, but can't. Funniest Star Wars parody ending ever. However, the host metagamed my role and pitted me against Shadows. I die very quickly, especially considering Zepher plays an excellent game and dupes me into roleclaiming on Day 2 and subsequently outs me to everyone. This is the first time I'm accused of meta-gaming and first time I've even heard the term. All I did was tell everyone that Shadows dupes them every time and they should never trust him again and not let him get anymore check marks in the win column. What's metagaming about that? Anyway, this is another game whose prodution and presentation are top notch.

Infection

megabluck this. It's the most embarassing game I've played. While Quarryman gives us no clues, but outs our night killer to the scum, Stash, Shadows and I spend the whole game accusing each other, voting and un-voting one another until the scum have all slid under the radar and clobbered us all hard. Worst performance for me in a game ever, and it leads me to a long mafia break. Plus, the host's pictures are the worst ever.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum

Jesus, I'm blind! You could write a book on the mistakes I make in this game. I'm outed with a night action early with a picture of me injecting another player with a syringe. I talk my way out of being lynched and suddenly everyone starts following my lead. They all follow it to their death. I go off of an (arguably inconsistent) investigation result and trust stupid Dragonator throughout the whole game...and Rufus...and Arjay...and (later) CorneliusMurdock and finally figure it out right before the scum outnumber us. Yay me! So, I've repeated the mistake I made in Western Mafia on a much more elaborate scale. Another fantastic presentation and production value from the host.

Werewolf

Not only do I win this one, I get Shadows killed twice. I start the annoying habit of performing plays to bring information to the others. One faction wants me dead, the other dupes me into believing he's been "reverse-converted" to town, which I totally buy until the host reveals there's still a werewolf faction. I pretty much learn from all of my Bloodbrick mistakes, and since I point out a slip-up by the only werewolf and get her voted out on the first day, people follow my lead, this time with good reason and results. Did I mention I got Shadows killed twice? The host needs to learn to push his bricks down so there aren't so many gaps in his settings.
