Hiffie Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) Hi, I have started about 3 weeks ago to animate the best sets of my favourite Lego themes Pirates and Castle in Stop Motion. To make the videos more interesting, I always build a little scenery around the set and the minifigs interact a bit. Here is a list of the sets I already finished: Pirates: 1989: Eldorado Fortress 6276 : Sabre Island 6265 + Harbor Sentry 6245 + Broadside's Brig 6259 (from 1991): 1991: Lagoon Lock-Up 6267: 1994: Enchanted Island 6278: Forbidden Cove 6264 + King Kahuka's Throne 6262 + Crocodile Cage 6246 (my last and best work): Castle: 1988: Black Monarch’s Castle 6085: 1990: Forestmen’s River Fortress 6077: 1992: Wolfpack Tower 6075 (my first try ): Black Knight’s Castle 6086: 1993: Fire Breathing Fortress 6082: Dark Dragon's Den 6076 + Majisto's Magical Workshop 6048 + Magic Shop 6020: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M1zix4Vygg Some feedback would be nice Edited May 10, 2011 by Hiffie Quote
Artanis I Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 A good effort so far. It would be easier to understand what is happening with the larger sets if the camera moved around a bit more. Since I have all the castles and a few of the pirate sets this is a small problem for me, but someone else might not get the best idea of the set. The animation is good though, and I like the action. Hiffie Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 @ Artanis I: Thank you for the reply I recently finished my new Video. It contains a lot of improvements: - Better camera movement. - Faster - Smoother - More action - And more Fire Breathing Fortress 6082 from 1993: i hope u guys like it Quote
Rufus Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I only looked at a couple, but I really liked them - particularly the sedate pace and relaxing music (good choice). However, people might get put off watching the whole thing; you could try speeding up the pace just a little. Quote
Artifex Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I REALLY like your videos! They are great! Keep them coming! Your music selection is not bad, too, especially the most "medieval" songs, whatever they are! Sorry for my ignorance - are they German? But you DO have to post some pics of your entire collection, right as it is, side by side, like in the videos! Quote
Artanis I Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I was thinking "Where is the dragon? He's forgotten the dragon!" then POOF cloud of smoke and there it was... Very cool. Quote
Hiffie Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 Thank you for all the nice comments However, people might get put off watching the whole thing; you could try speeding up the pace just a little. Have u also seen my newer Videos? They are a lot faster. Sorry for my ignorance - are they German? The music is from all over the World. That Includes Germany of course But you DO have to post some pics of your entire collection, right as it is, side by side, like in the videos! Which Video u mean exactly? I have more than one I finished today my new Video. The main content of the Movie is a little war between the Dragon Knights and the evil Lion Knights. I made over 1500 pictures and used about 40 minifigs in the Battle at the end. And of course I built some nice Lego sets. Dark Dragon's Den 6076, Majisto's Magical Workshop 6048 and Magic Shop 6020. Hiffie Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 The next video is done. This time i built a Pirate set, Islanders to be more precise. Enchanted Island 6278. The first release from 1994 not the re-release from 2001. And 2 Pirates Attack the Island. Quote
Trent Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I just built this set this morning myself. I really like your music choice, and the animation is really smooth. I think your layout overall is excellent - I may take inspiration from that myself! Thanks for sharing. Quote
Hiffie Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 @Trent: Thank you for your comment. Video number 11 is completed. This is my first movie with a mix of music and sound effects I built some small, but nice Islanders sets: Forbidden Cove 6264, King Kahuka's Throne 6262, Crocodile Cage 6246. After that a little pirate army makes some trouble there. Quote
Captain Pirate Man Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Does anyone know what happened to him? I love watching his videos, probably my favorite Lego YouTube channel. I heard he died, does anyone have any further information? Quote
