Once we arrive at the lighthouse, I'd like a description of the lighthouse itself and its surroundings before we enter, to refresh the memories of those who have been daydreaming.

The lighthouse is a large tan circular structure with a door built into it. There's stairs inside the lighthouse, leading up the ceiling where there's a light, and other items. The lighthouse is built on a large rock overlooking the bay.

Here's an easier way: Could we have the names of everyone who's writing we have?

And we shouldn't forget the names of everyone whose shoe size we have. Can we get them as well?

No. Look back and do it yourselves. It's all in the preceding chapters.

I'd like to know if the door is locked. If it isn't, I'd like to enter the lighthouse and look for anything that looks like it is out of order.

Has someone worked inside the lighthouse?

No. Look back and do it yourselves. It's all in the preceding chapters.

Sorry for being lazy. :blush::tongue:

Again, if the door isn't locked, I'd like to check if any of the floor or walls are hollow.

If it is locked, I'd liike to find the heaviest liftable object I can find and smash the door open with it.

I'd like to know if there is a boathouse or other sort of structure here other than the lighthouse. If there isn't, I'd like to enter the lighthouse. If there is, I'd like a description of it, please.

Assuming that we successfully open the lighthouse door, I would like to climb to the top of the stairs and search the area.

I'll follow him, and if we need to be more specific, then I'll climb to the top and get a good description of the area first.

The door is unlocked, and there are no hollow floors or walls.

There's nothing near the lighthouse. It is a complete standalone structure. Inspector Liebenston enters the lighthouse.

At the top of the stairs, there's a large light spinning slowly around, typical to a lighthouse. There's nothing of real interest otherwise. There's a toolbox nearby the light, a large box marked replacement bulbs, and several electrical wires running around the floor. It would appear that nobody has been up here in awhile.

Posted

Wait, nobody's been up here in a while, yet the light is still spinning?

I'd like to follow all the wires and see where they lead to, being careful not to electrocute myself. If possible, I'd also like to know who the keeper was, and if the lighthouse has any other rooms.

I'd like to leave the lighthouse and examine and knock on all the rocks on the outside, looking for a falls rock,a secret trap door, things laying around or such.

I'd also like someone who has been with the group since the beginning to have a look at the wreck and tell if anything changed since you left, just to be sure.

Well we've been told before that the lighthouse was empty, so I doubt we'll find anything of interest here. When we're finished, I suggest we investigate Chief Phelps' residence where we're bound to find a few skeletons.

I'd like to examine the area at the bottom of the stairs to see if there is anything that might indicate a trapdoor or if there are any objects scattered about that might be clues.

The bottom of the lighthouse is immaculate, there's nothing indicating a trapdoor and there's no objects scattered about. Somebody cares for this lighthouse.

I'd like to search the toolbox and the box of replacement bulbs.

There's various tools in the box, and nothing seems out of the ordinary in the bulb-box.

Wait, nobody's been up here in a while, yet the light is still spinning?

I'd like to follow all the wires and see where they lead to, being careful not to electrocute myself. If possible, I'd also like to know who the keeper was, and if the lighthouse has any other rooms.

The wires lead to a power generator in a panel beneath the floor on the roof of the lighthouse. There's no other rooms in the lighthouse.

"Honestly I cannot recall who the lighthouse keeper is, or was. He's a recluse, that much I do recall." Mayor Bradford says.

I'd like to see what I can spot from the top of the lighthouse.

You can see all of Alabatha, and the bay beyond Alabatha as well.

I'd like to leave the lighthouse and examine and knock on all the rocks on the outside, looking for a falls rock,a secret trap door, things laying around or such.

I'd also like someone who has been with the group since the beginning to have a look at the wreck and tell if anything changed since you left, just to be sure.

There's no false rocks or secret trap doors, all the rocks are solid and in the same place since last time. The wreckage is also no longer present at the lighthouse. It must have moved out with the current.

Alright, I also don't know what else we might do here. I concur about Phelps residence.

Captain Garrison, since you seem to be not locked up, will you give us permission to visit Phelps' residence? Or do we have to ask Stanley?

Since the lighthouse keeper obviously couldn't have lived here, I'd like to ask Mayor Bradford if he recalls where the keeper did live.

And since the light is on, I'd like to know if there are any signs that the generator has been refueled lately.

I'd like to suggest to lock up Captain Garrisson and Ralph Jenkins.

What are the odds that they'll managed to kill a commie, IF one of them manages NOT to be one themselves? The only commie kill we have is Valeire Jenkins, and that was NEITHER of these men, not to mention it wasn't even aimed at her. If we lock up the killers, we'll be THAT much safer. I will not rest knowing we have 2 failures at killing on the loose.

I was sure the lighthouse had something important. Unless...

I would like to walk outside the lighthouse, and look for hidden panels around the building.

Oh, and I second the motion above

Posted

Oh, and I'd like to know exactly what tools are in the toolbox, which tool shows the most wear, and if any of the tools seem to have been modified.

I'd like to suggest to lock up Captain Garrisson and Ralph Jenkins.

I also agree with this.

I'm going back to a discussion that was interrupted by the visit of Ralph's house. Perhaps before we lock anyone, we should ask both presumed vigilantes to explain their motives for choosing the targets they chose. I think their answers could help us decide who is a commie.

- Captain Garrison claimed killing Ted Harding, Alan Cain and Maxwell Touns.

- Ralph Jenkins claimed killing (or attempting to kill) Dolores Jefferson, Matt Liebenston, Julie Parker and Frankie Daly.

So why them, gentlemen?

Good point. But we should also ask ourselves, which reason a communist killer could have to kill those targets.

Well, I remember a lot of people being suspicious of Dolly, and several people being alarmed at how quiet Ms. Parker and Director Liebenston were. Would seems that Ralph's claims fit in more with being a vigilante, if correct.

Visisting the lighthouse has turned out to be useful, hasn't it? :hmpf:

Given that I suggested we do this earlier, I will of course give you permission to go to Chief Phelps residence.

Look at this logically. I have been outed as a vigilante and I am wrongfully suspected to be a communist. I

So why them, gentlemen?

I will tell you gladly. Captian Harding was shot due to his behaviour during the voting period. Although I personally was not around at the time, I was informed of it. He was making wild accusations and statements with absolutely no basis. He was there when the Chief was being accused, yet he didn't even comment on it. Although he eventually he voted the Chief, it was only after it was clear which way the tide was turning. Ted had also made some reckless suggestions earlier, and he was a part of the newcomers group. I considered that enough of a reason for me to kill him. Clearly, I was wrong.

Judge Cain - well, I'll admit my reasoning for killing him was weak at best. He had suddenly become active when we were searching the hospital, which I found odd. He also tried to accuse Director Hoffman, I suppose. Primarily though, this was simply an attempt to eliminate who was unhelpful and as a result someone who would be difficult to find out about.

As for Maxwell, I remembered the "don't trust newcomers" note and saw that of the newcomers, only I, Maxwell, Krista and Frankie remained. I knew I wasn't a commie and I trusted Frankie to an extent because he correctly identified a government figure (me) as the vigilante. I felt that if I got it wrong Krista would be a much more damaging loss than Maxwell, so I went for him.

Well, I remember a lot of people being suspicious of Dolly,

These people included the former Chief of police, who was a known communist at the time of the attempt on Dolores' life.

Damn, I opened my mouth to soon.

Look at this logically. I have been outed as a vigilante and I am wrongfully suspected to be a communist. I

...am not one to worsen a situation. If it is wished of me, I shall not kill again. I am not under a requirement to kill people, and if the majority does not want me to then I shall not kill people independently.

I would also like to point out that while it is perfectly valid for people to say that Ralph has been a failure at killing commies, the same cannot be said by any truly loyal American about me - yet. We still do not know (unless I missed something) the alignment of Maxwell. In my view, it remains perfectly possible that he was a communist spy, at least until the General tells us otherwise.

These people included the former Chief of police, who was a known communist at the time of the attempt on Dolores' life.

Upon checking with my brain, I realise that the Chief was not known to be a communist when Ralph tried to kill Dolores, so ignore that.

Commie or not, we can't afford you out and about killing people. Note that in normal games of life the scum's win condition is to outnumber the townies. Think, that even if you're both vigilantes, if the commie were to kill tonight, it would blow their cover, so locking up both of you will prevent either of you from killing, and stop any other killers from killing.
